I agree with the truckers completely. But I also understand why the government demands draconian punishment. The protest was a direct challenge to the legitimacy, decency and integrity of the government of Canada. If the idea took hold in the wider public that the Canadian government was complicit in some horrific scheme to inject the populace with a harmful substance then that government could easily fall and many of the key players could end up in prison or worse. Lucky for the government the damage caused by the vaccine was apparently quite limited in scope — though it will be decades before we understand the full story.
Should Tamara and Chris be sentenced to anything more than time served, Canada needs to go on a general strike until this injustice is corrected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
