David Krayden, I’m pretty sure that Pierre knows that there is an NDA between the US and Cdn Trade negotiators that precludes them from releasing the text of the draft trade agreement for 4 years. Since Pierre is not a member of the Cabinet, he would not be privy to the text himself. If, under some circumstances, he were allowed to see it, he would need a Top Secret Clearance first (which he doesn’t at present hold) and he himself would then be precluded from releasing the details under the Official Secrets Act - which is the very reason why he has chosen NOT to get a security clearance as Leader of the Opposition. The only way the text COULD be released is if BOTH countries were to agree to release it. So, if someone were to convince Trump to agree to release the text and he were then to publicly pressure Carney to also agree(and Carney agreed), then and ONLY THEN could the text be released.
