Running out the clock doesn't make much sense when you're talking Rogan who is perfectly content to keep going for hours at a time. My thought was Poilievre was indulging his inner geek, talking about obscure "stuff" seems right up his alley... and clearly Rogan was fine with that too.
I've been thinking about the interview, watching various pundits, some raging & some cheering, and I've come to the conclusion Poilievre managed to thread a difficult needle.
For the extremists on either end of the political horseshoe, nothing he could do or say would be enough. For the vast majority who aren't looking for an axe to grind, Poilievre came across very well... probably better than he's ever managed on anything other than a smaller venue. I keep hearing reports from pundits saying they've sent the link to Liberals who are now talking about Poilievre as being reasonable, approachable, statesman-like and vote worthy.
Did I have a beef with some of Poilievre's positions? Oh hell, yes!! The fact he still can't manage to say "unfettered immigration is killing the country" drives me around the bend. Pretending we're all just waiting for someone to lead a chorus of "Kumbaya" to resolve imported cultural/tribal warfare is dangerously ignorant. But Poilievre can't stop the destruction of the country without getting elected and, at this point, I expect even his new campaign manager is saying tread lightly.
Would a Canadian version of Rupert Lowe succeed in Canada? Not yet... and let's hope we can turn the tide before such harsh measures are essential. I would rather have remigration done voluntarily as opposed to mandated.
For the leader of the opposition he didn't seem to oppose much!!! As a Canadian, I love people who immigrate to assimilate, get a job, and enjoy living as a neighbor and friend. I do not want gmmegrants, who come from a shit world and, for whatever reason, wants to change canada into a shit world!!! Groceries and gas prices are ridiculous! Net Zero stupidity is costing taxpayers, more TFW, fewer entry jobs available, foriegners will become our military...
I have to wonder if Poilievre is much different from Carnage??
Poilievre can't do anything the Laurentians don't want done. He can't change anything meaningful at the federal level. The country is broke and broken, deliberately.
