STANDING UP AND FIGHTING BACK

This Carney government is encroaching on our freedoms with a perniciousness, zeal and dedication that is truly horrifying in its scope and intensity. The Alto highspeed rail scandal is the most recent example of Carney’s continued war on farmers and landowners as it seeks to expropriate private property while Liberal insiders amass fortunes as they preside over this massive dispossession. We need to support the Ontario Landowners Association in their fight to stop the Alto project just as we stood by Universal Ostrich Farms in their struggle to resist the outrageous overreach of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. We will continue to say “no” to government tyranny — especially when we’re told it’s for our own good.

I’ve been a journalist long enough to know when something doesn’t pass the smell test. This entire Alto project reeks of government corruption.

On June 10, close to 1,000 participants came to Parliament Hill to express their disgust with this corruption. The crowd heard speeches from MPs and Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre.

It has been a while since Poilievre fully embraced conservative activism and protests. During the Freedom Convoy, he was the only prominent Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) MP to visit with the truckers and express his solidarity with their opposition to Covid mandates. After the rule of Liberal lite Erin O’Toole, it was inspiring and satisfying to see Poilievre break from the Red Tory establishment that had taken over the CPC.

Poilievre said at the event:

“We will cancel this $90 billion liberal white elephant, and we will use the savings to put the money back in the pockets of Canadians, so that they can afford food and homes and wonderful futures. That is our Conservative approach. Wouldn’t you rather just take tax off gas, so you can get where you’re going? Wouldn’t you rather reduce the insane inflationary liberal deficit? Wouldn’t you rather see the money go to our healthcare, so that our seniors can be cared for, and wouldn’t you rather keep your own land for yourself?”

It was clear that Poilievre understood what this protest was all about and that he understood the frustration of those who had gathered on the lawn.

ALTO: THE $90 BILLION BOONDOGGLE THAT WILL NEVER BE BUILT

The truly astounding thing about the Alto project is not the $90 billion price tag but that this figure is highly deceptive and not reflective of the final cost — that some estimate could really be double or triple that amount. Actually, this project is so cost prohibitive that it might never be built. The completion date of this railway is at least a decade in the future. Do you really think there won’t be massive cost overruns? This project will just outprice itself and be another “white elephant” government debacle like Mirabel in Montreal, the airport that was completely unnecessary and sits unused today as a testament to government waste.

You know, every once in a while, something comes along that just knocks me over. This Alto highspeed rail project is one of those things. Here we are, drowning in deficits, and the Liberals are dreaming up a $90 billion vanity project that’ll never get built, but will sure as hell expropriate a ton of private property along the way.

I’m telling you, the more people find out about Alto, the clearer it becomes this isn’t nation-building. It’s a land grab wrapped in a press release.

THE LIBERAL SALES PITCH AND THE REALITY CHECK

Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon (L-Gatineau) stood up and declared that this $90 million—sorry, $90 billion—highspeed rail venture “will change life as we know it.” He even acknowledged the service will be inaccessible to most Canadians but insisted it would create “new worlds of intercity travel for some Ontarians and Quebecers.”

Who exactly benefits? Friends of the Liberal Party, that’s who. Because this thing is never getting completed. Not in three years. Not in twelve. The cost overruns alone are going to turn this into a quarter-trillion-dollar punchline. “

A VOTE FOR TRANSPARENCY

MP Eric Duncan (CPC-Stormont—Dundas—Glengarry) has mastered this file and he nailed it in these recent remarks:

“One of the big issues I continue to hear about in our area is the opposition and growing opposition to the $90 billion boondoggle that is the high-speed rail project connecting Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto, circumventing stops in our part of rural eastern Ontario and dividing up land and communities…”

He gave full credit to the Township of North Glengarry, the City of Cornwall, the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, and all the mayors in Prescott-Russell who are standing up and refusing to play ball.

Then came the best part. The United Counties of Prescott Russell refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Eric quoted their strong stance:

“Major infrastructure projects must be transparent, accountable, and respectful of local communities from day one. Our residents deserve to know exactly what is being proposed, how it’s going to affect farmland, property owners, local roads, the environment, and taxpayers before decisions are made behind closed doors, namely expropriations.”

He called it exactly what it is: “This was not a vote against progress. It was a vote for transparency. It was a vote for local autonomy and responsible decision making… Nation building should not be community dividing.”

Godspeed, Eric Duncan. You’re doing the Lord’s work on this one.

THE HOUSE OF COMMONS CIRCUS

The hypocrisy reached peak absurdity in Question Period. Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne’s department actually hired an Alto executive to help write the Budget 2025 that he was in a conflict of interest.

When challenged, Government House McKinnon shot back:

“The honorable member … what he has put in place is a rigid and approved set of measures from the commissioner of ethics and he will always act with integrity.”

Opposition Member of Parliament Michael Barrett (CPC- Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands—Rideau Lakes) rightly called out the destruction:

“The expropriation of farms, homes, businesses, the destruction of environmentally sensitive land like the Frontenac Arch Biosphere with a program that will cost more than $90 billion while they let atrophy Canadian infrastructure and services like Via Rail which services the same communities that Alto will pass by while destroying…

“Classic Liberal decorum: insult the opposition, then proceed with the looting.”

Barrett explained his question in more detail:"

“My question is for the finance minister. At Committee of the Whole yesterday … the Department of Finance for preparing the budget speech and the budget presentation for the minister and the online open source resources show that the contractor that was used is an employee is an executive with Alto. Now there’s been lots of talk about Alto and why the implementing legislation for the High Speed Rail Network Act was included in the BIA in Bill C 15, because the finance minister had previously said that he believed he would be in a conflict of interest if he participated in that, but at the same time his department procured the services of an executive at Alto to write into a budget bill’s very specific transport legislation … Was the ethics commissioner consulted? Did this individual have a conflict screen? Were they involved in writing on Alto?”

PROPERTY EXPROPRIATION HIDDEN IN BUDGET 2025

This whole fiasco is part of a larger pattern. Budget 2025 quietly expands the federal government’s powers to expropriate private property under the guise of “nation-building” projects. They’re coming for farms, family homes, and rural land, all while Via Rail—the existing, functional service—gets left to atrophy.

I’m calling it what it is: a war on private property, a war on agriculture, and a war on rural Canada. Alto is just the latest spoke in that wheel, right alongside those monstrous data centers gobbling up farmland and energy.

THE BONUS BONANZA BEFORE THEY EVEN BUILD ANYTHING

And just when you thought it couldn’t get more insulting, we learned this week that 100% of Alto executives and employees received almost $2.8 million in bonuses—before a single inch of track has been laid.

That’s right. While farmers and rural homeowners are being strong-armed into NDAs and threatened with expropriation, the bureaucrats are cashing bonus cheques for the crime of showing up to meetings.

As former Opposition Leader Andrew Scheer (CPC-Regina—Qu'Appelle) rightly pointed out, Mark Carney’s government hasn’t turned a shovel, yet they’re handing out millions. It’s the ultimate boondoggle bonus—payment for failure, funded by you, the taxpayer.

According to Rebel News report, a new parliamentary response reveals that Crown corporation Alto poured over $1.59 million into advertising the consultation period between 2022 and April 15, 2026.

Every dollar spent was part of Alto’s broader public relations campaign to “inform the public about the consultation process in their region.”

But, according to local residents at a Landowners meeting in Ottawa May 30, 2026, we reported that there has been no actual consultation and mayors and town councils are being threatened and silenced with Alto non-disclosure agreements. Obviously Canadian taxpayers are paying for a Liberal public relations advertising exercise and grift not a real consultation.

CHAMPAGNE CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Champagne is clearly in a conflict of interest because his spouse, Anne-Marie Gaudet, is vice president of Environment at Alto. In her role, Gaudet oversees the company’s environmental strategy and compliance, regulatory approvals, impact assessments, and sustainability frameworks for the project. As a senior federal minister, Champagne’s position gives him influence over government approvals, funding, and the authority to expropriate private property for this initiative, while his wife holds a key executive position at the very company that stands to benefit. They plan the project, they approve it, and they benefit from it, while taxpayers foot the bill and property owners risk losing their land.

When asked about this Carney shrugged it off and the ethics commissioner will do nothing about it.

WHY THIS PROJECT IS DOOMED

Construction on this ill-starred venture is not even starting for three more years. Three years! In the meantime, executives collect fat salaries for doing precisely nothing. Best-case scenario this rail might be ready in 11 or 12 years—if it ever gets built at all. I predict it won’t. The cost overruns will kill it, just like every other Liberal megaproject.

This is less about transportation and more about control. Force farmers and landowners into NDAs. Threaten them with dispossession if they speak out. All while pretending it’s for the greater good.

When Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin truly unleashed his fury on his own people, he started with a collectivization program that forced farmers to work directly for the state while confiscating their bread. Is that what Carneyism is all about: forcing farmers and rural landowners to hand over their land and their livelihood to a ravenous state? In the Soviet Union, it was the Bolshevik elite who benefited. In Carney Canada it is the friends of the Liberal Party and the globalist elites who are enriched. The fat cat bureaucrats who make outrageous and unearned salaries to take away your freedom and your prosperity need to be retired. NOW.

CARNEY — MOST CORRUPT PRIME MINISTER IN CANADIAN HISTORY

Through an investigative series of articles, we are exposing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s areas of conflict related to the overlap of Brookfield Asset Management activities and his political role as Canada’s leader.

In Article 3, we examined 15 diplomatic and trade missions. We asked Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze the potential level of Carney’s conflict of interest that might arise from the Canadian trade and diplomatic missions and cross referenced this with Brookfield deals in the same countries. Out of Carney’s 15 trade missions, 9 were judged to be within a range of high to very high risk for conflict of interest. We did a Ukraine deep dive into Carney and Brookfield conflicts in Ukraine, which A.I. found to be very high risk.

Other high risk and very high-risk conflict areas for Carney, according to the A.I. included Norway (High); Japan (High); Australia (High); India (High); Qatar (High); Ukraine (Very High); Sweden (High); and UAE (Very High). The conflict high risk for Canada’s Prime Minister Carney, also includes China.

TODAY, we are putting the Canada - China “strategic” partnership under the microscope. With Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney, sometimes it seems like we are watching a masterclass in diplomatic submission dressed up as sophisticated globalism.

In two news conferences held on May 27, Wiretap media captured the following regarding Canada’s “Strategic Partnership” with China and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) secret Memorandum in Understanding (MOU) with the communist police in China.

In an explosive statement Prime Minister Mark Carney finally responded to questions about why Canadians cannot see the secret RCMP MOU with China, calling it “standard procedure” (9:50 a.m.):

“I’ll answer the second part of the question first. We don’t make a habit of releasing security documents with, with other governments for reasons of operational security, that is standard practice for this government, previous governments as well. So, I don’t see a reason to change that in in this circumstance. So, thank you for that question, but that’s our policy.”

On the same day, on Parliament Hill, security expert Dan Stanton, retired senior Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) official warned (11:00 a.m.):

“My 32 years at CSIS, most of it was in counterintelligence. Canada’s resetting the relationship with China, and I think that’s good. They’re resetting with others. My only comment would be this should be done with eyes wide open. We learned with the Meng affair and the two Michael tragedy that Canada did not have a special relationship with China. We sometimes have these illusions that we have a certain leverage, or we have a special understood relationship we could use. The reality is often a lot blunter.”

This is a juxtaposition showing Canada’s vulnerability in our foreign policy and trade position currently with China.

Our eyes are NOT wide open.

As Canadian citizens, we are blindfolded by secret agreements and conflicts of interest that are hidden by the media not reporting them and by old ethics guidelines that have not been built for a transnational, World Economic Forum (WEF), Brookfield class Prime Minister with passports from three countries (United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada).

Carney and Xi: “Don’t Lecture Me in Public”

Recently while on an Australian trade mission (March 3–6, 2026) Mark Carney spoke about his first meeting as Prime Minister with President Xi Jinping at the APEC summit in November 2025. Here’s how he described it:

“The first time as prime minister that I met with President Xi which was at the APEC summit in November. He chose to spend the first 10 plus minutes discussing how he wanted the personal interaction to be. And if I were to summarize... no surprises if you really care about something be clear. Don’t tell me, don’t lecture me... Don’t lecture me in public. Bring issues to me directly.”

Really?

Xi basically gave Carney a tutorial on how to be a good little partner: keep the criticism behind closed doors, spare me the public scolding, and we’ll get along just fine.

This isn’t diplomacy — it’s a submission with a regime that doesn’t do “win-win.” It does “China wins, you comply.”

This sort of humiliation ritual plus a public scolding was provided to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2022, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, China’s Chairman Xi in the publicly dressed down Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The public exchange was caught on camera by Canada’s pool reporter taking place at the G20 where Xi up-braids Trudeau about a ‘leaked’ conversation saying it could have consequences.

“’We should have conservations in a respectful way. Otherwise, the results can’t be predicted,’ said Xi in Mandarin,” which some might think was a threat of some kind.

Trudeau Chief of Staff Katie Telford says PMJT went to the “washroom” at the end of the exchange.

This was an embarrassment for Canada and Trudeau not a successful foreign relations junket for Canada’s former Prime Minister, so undoubtedly Carney is obviously trying to avoid this or any other conflict.

This subservience, and the avoidance of any conflict with China when Canada needs someone to stand up for its citizens and economy, what does this cost Canada when it comes to our sovereignty?

It is time all of Canada faces uncomfortable truths that polite Ottawa society would rather ignore. While Canadians grapple with everything from collapsing property rights in British Columbia to the endless culture wars, one issue looms large on the foreign policy front: our government’s dangerously naive — or worse, deliberately deferential — relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.

We ask you to consider the following questions as we reveal to you the China - Brookfield - Carney connections and conflicts. To consider how this relates to Carney’s latest moves in China, moving Canada away from trade with our geopolitical ally in the United States, and how this affecting business, trade, and our very security and sovereignty in Canada for you and your family.

Is Canada embarking on a new future becoming a corporate neo-colonial state? Historically, this is part of our Canadian heritage under England and the Hudson Bay Company. Is this where Carney is taking us again?

Are Carney and his ‘New World Order” World Economic Forum (WEF) cronies using Brookfield, Blackrock, Blackstone etc. etc. as financial corporations to continue to enrich themselves, while using Canadian citizens pension funds and taxes as “capital”, as they dodge taxes, moving MORE funds offshore, while virtual signaling with “green grift” and the latest A.I. data center putsch?

At the same time, while they have played a significant part in of shoring our labor and commercial goods like furniture and cars to China, are they now further opening the door to China to try to further escalate their personal profits?

Is this why there is no actual or real strategy to bring home the manufacturing to Canada and North America? The only focus is to enrich themselves personally as time is running out.

The RCMP’s Dangerous Handshake with Beijing’s Enforcers: The Secret MOU that Won’t Go Away

Investigative reporter Terry Glavin in February 2026 pointed out, “The most alarming agreement Carney concluded in Beijing [during his China trade mission in January] was the restoration of the relationship between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and China’s dreaded Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

That agreement has its origins in a fairly straightforward police liaison arrangement that had evolved during the Harper years into a joint effort to target the Chinese Communist Party’s wealthy fraudsters and embezzlers who routinely found refuge in Canada. But it quickly turned out to be a cover for Beijing to target “political criminals,” often relying on coerced interrogations and blackmail.”

This secret China - RCMP Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the Carney curse that is not going away. It is on a constant cyclical news cycle. Most recently, Global News reported on May 21, 2026, that the “RCMP spokesperson Robin Percival said the memorandum of understanding signed in January “outlines specific forms of mutual collaboration” on policing, the exchange of information and investigative assistance, but did not give further details.”

She stated, “The RCMP says it won’t release the full agreement it signed with China’s Ministry of Public Security without Beijing agreeing to do so, despite demands from the federal Conservatives and NDP for answers on what it contains.

Percival said the memorandum of understanding signed in January “outlines specific forms of mutual collaboration” on policing, the exchange of information and investigative assistance.” Percival said:

“The RCMP will not unilaterally make public or share the contents of an MOU with a third party without the concurrence of the other party. As such, the RCMP is not releasing the contents of the MOU at this time.”

She claims this sort of agreement is standard stuff — just like agreements with the United States’ FBI, DEA, and CIA and the Five Eyes intelligence agencies that operate a close-knit network of intelligence agencies within Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States and Canada.

Except China’s Ministry of Public Security isn’t exactly the FBI.

Interestingly Percival is being tracked by Rise Media, “Chinese Canada's most high-quality all-media Chinese platform.”

The Chinese language media article does a deep dive exposing all the RCMP weaknesses readily apparent. It quotes Percival about their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) sort of polices and also extensively quotes the National Security and Intelligence Council (NSICOP) regarding very specific “loopholes” within Canada’s RCMP including a RCMP officer that was bribed related to “cryptophone company in British Columbia”, pointing out that the bribed officer “continued to obtain top-secret intelligence from the Five Eyes Alliance, which posed a great danger to Canada's national security.” It also notes the RCMP vacancy rate was high tracking the RCMP job vacancies in each province.

The article also quoted NSICOP report regarding

“Lack training in specialized skills such as money laundering, terrorism, espionage investigations, etc. Two years in remote areas is not enough to equip these officers with national case investigation experience, and Canada is in dire need of a force with modern criminal investigation capabilities to deal with a wide range of modern high-tech crimes.”

Nothing to see here folks.

Totally normal Canada-Chinese relations.

This secret RCMP-China security MOU was also questioned at the House of Commons committee recently, where RCMP official Bryan Larkin admitted how close the Canadian RCMP are to the Chinese authorities. When questioned about the secret agreement Larkin described it as a “re-enhancement” of the past memorandum of understanding.

“It’s really around how we share information. It’s how we actually disclose information. It’s how we actually do mutual investigations...”

Once again this is the communist country that does not have the same human rights as Canada. The Chinese Communist Party has a well-documented history of torture, harassment and forced confessions. We’re supposed to believe information-sharing with these folks is just routine policing?

Rebel News reported that in response to Conservative MP John Williamson’s Order Paper Question, the government confirmed that the RCMP 2026 MOU between the RCMP and China includes “exchange of information, investigative assistance, training and coordination with other domestic law enforcement agencies.”

The government’s reply in Parliament stated:

“The full text of the 2026 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the RCMP and China’s Ministry of Public Security will not be tabled in Parliament or released publicly because such international law enforcement agreements require confidentiality and cannot be disclosed without the consent of the other party.”

Opposition to Carney and the RCMP keeping the China police station MOU secret is growing on all sides. Both Conservative Part of Canada (CPC) public safety critic Frank Caputo and New Democratic Party (NDP) public safety critic Jenny Kwan have separately written letters to Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree calling for the secret MOU's release, saying the details deserve to be scrutinized by MPs and Canadians.

Kwan stated on X:

“I’m calling on Mark Carney govt to stop hiding RCMP-MPs MOU in Beijing. Reports that RCMP needs Beijing’s “permission” to show this MOU to Canadians are a threat to our sovereignty. Our diaspora communities deserve to know how this safety and rights are being protected.”

The federal government refuses to release the full text of this controversial agreement. Surprise, surprise.

Chinese Police Stations: Now You See Them, Now You Don’t

Remember when the RCMP insisted there were no Chinese overseas police stations in Canada? Then they said they closed them. Now, apparently, they’re operational again — or never really went away.

Quebec Chinese community members are demanding answers after yet another investigation was quietly shelved.

Hong Kong Watch and diaspora groups have also expressed “deep fear and anxiety” over this RCMP-Ministry of Public Security partnership calling for full transparency because there is real fear about the data that the RCMP is handing over to Beijing’s enforcers.

As one observer put it: these “stations” exist to harass, intimidate, and potentially kidnap Chinese Canadians who fled communist tyranny. And our government is helping with the paperwork.

And these Chinese police station intimidation strategies being perfected in Canada are now spreading to the United States, however, the USA is doing something about it: “I Exposed a Secret Chinese Spy Post in NYC — Then the Feds Took It Down.”

“Investigative reporter Isabel Vincent pulls back the curtain on a shocking operation allegedly hiding in plain sight in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown — and the federal case that followed. What began as a tip about secret Chinese “police stations” quickly spiraled into a years-long investigation involving surveillance, intimidation, dissidents living in fear, and an FBI raid that stunned New Yorkers.”

Dangerous Chinese Impacts on Canadians

We have tracked Carney’s and his former company Brookfield’s relationship with China today and in the recent past to tease out the pattern we are seeing where conflicts of interest are influencing Canadian foreign policy decisions, making life more dangerous for Canadians.

Here are some recent examples of how public safety is drastically deteriorating in Canada due to the China influence and interference.

1) In the trial of alleged double agent William Majcher the court documents revealed how 25 Canadian residents were targeted by Chinese police under an “anti-corruption program.” Some of them would have faced life imprisonment, or even a death sentence.

The 63-year-old Majcher, a former RCMP officer in British Columbia, is accused of illegally participating in an international anti-corruption campaign launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping called “Operation Fox Hunt,” which was later followed by a similar campaign known as “Operation SkyNet.”

The case stemmed from Majcher’s 2023 arrest and involved allegations tied to Chinese repatriation efforts, but it concluded with a full acquittal. No further proceedings are expected on this charge. For the most official updates, check B.C. court records or recent reports from CBC, Globe and Mail, or Vancouver Sun.

With the new policies and secret RCMP MOU negotiated in January, was Majcher REALLY a double agent or was he implementing what is now the official Carney China policy?

Officer Majcher was just a little ahead of the time.

It is no surprise then when on May 13, under this sort of backdrop, Justice Devlin delivered the not-guilty ruling. She expressed doubts about the nature/extent of Majcher’s actions and noted the evidence was insufficient to show specific intent to unlawfully assist Chinese authorities.

Chinese Canadians must be becoming increasingly nervous, and so should all of us, if the RCMP are giving our information to China as part of a secret MOU. The day before the RCMP alleged communist collaborator was let off, “human rights advocates sound alarm” because the court documents showed how much the Chinese police are harassing Chinese Canadian diaspora residents and how much information the RCMP is sharing with China.

In the old days, economists and politicians always said that by opening up trade with China they would become more like us. Instead, we lost our entire manufacturing sector and what is happening is we are losing our individual freedoms as our country and our leaders like Carney are adopting more and more of China’s authoritarian policies. We are becoming more LIKE THEM!

2) Michael Kovrig who is one of the “Two Michaels” — the Canadian former diplomat and geopolitical analyst who, along with Michael Spavor, was arbitrarily put in prison by China for 1,019 days (December 2018 to September 2021) in retaliation for Canada’s arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. Kovrig appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology (INDU) in May 2026 as founder of the Global Network for Strategic Effects.

Korvig spoke to human rights issues and also national security, economic issues related to importing Chinese EVs — including forced labor concerns in China, predatory CCP-linked industrial practices, sovereignty issues, and the dangers of deepening economic entanglement with China as a hedge against U.S. trade tensions.

Kovrig stated at committee:

“Concentrated sectoral economic dependence also constricts federal policy-making autonomy. The PRC weaponizes technology, supply chains and market access to coerce acquiescence to its geopolitical agenda. China’s ambassador just demonstrated this when he pressed Canada to weaken the long-standing policy on Taiwan. Importing Chinese EVs means importing predatory monopolistic behaviour that our companies can’t survive, labour conditions that our workers won’t tolerate and infringements of sovereignty that our nation shouldn’t accept.”

3) On March 26, 2026 Conservative floor crosser MP Michael Ma at the Industry Committee Liberal questioned expert witness Margaret McCuaig-Johnston (China Strategic Risks Institute/University of Ottawa) during a hearing focused on issues like electric vehicles, supply chains, and forced labor in China. Ma pressed her on whether she had personally witnessed forced labor (specifically referencing Shenzhen in some accounts, though the exchange touched on broader China/Xinjiang concerns), suggested her evidence might be “hearsay,” and cast doubt on reports from organizations like Human Rights Watch.

Ma finally gave a lukewarm apology for spreading his obvious disinformation, but he and Carney both could not condemn China’s “forced labor” or slave labor.

The best Carney could do is criticize it around the world, “There’s evidence and there’s existence I should say of child labor and forced labor around the world.”

Carney, long before he was prime minister, as the Brookfield chairman, also refused to admit there is problem with Chinese Uyghur slave labor in 2021 when pressed by Pierre Poilievre. This is because Brookfield buys solar panels from China.

And still today Carney continues to dodge these questions now that he is prime minister. Carney went onto later that week excuse Ma by praising his “Liberal and Canadian values,” at a Liberal fundraiser.

4) MP Chiang joking about China kidnapping his political opponent — Carney’s supportive comments supporting MP Ma, who obviously does not believe that China has any human rights issues, at the same time as minimizing China’s human rights issues, mirrors what he also said during the general election where he defended Liberal MP Michael Chiang who was caught promoting a $1 million HK China bounty on Chiang’s political opponent — Conservative candidate Joe Tay.

Carney at this time stated he had “complete confidence” in Chiang and allowed him to continue as the Liberal candidate, until Chiang withdrew on his own later that week after corporate media pressure continued to build.

Citing threats, police advised Tay to halt his political campaign, which the Conservative candidate apparently complied with.

Tay’s riding of Markham—Unionville, was ironically the riding Ma (the recent floor crosser) now represents as Tay and Ma switched their seats mid-election, according to our research.

Ma, after he crossed the floor to the Liberals a few weeks earlier, participated in the Canada, China trade mission in January where Carney proclaimed the “New World Order.”

So, we can expect a lot more of this sort of “willful blindness” as investigative reporter Sam Cooper calls it, and worse with this sort of third world level corruption becoming clearer, as Carney deepens Canada’s ties to China. This will undoubtedly further enrich Carney’s personal stock portfolio (held in blind trust) and also increase Brookfield’s profits in China.

Why Do The Liberals Love China So Much?

This isn’t incompetence. It’s a pattern.

Catherine Swift, representing the Coalition of Concerned of Manufacturers and Business of Canada points out the Liberals long legacy at cozying up to China.

She says

“Liberals make potfuls of money from dealings with China. Brookfield is in there like a dirty shirt, as we know, everywhere Carney goes, Brookfield is sure to follow, or maybe it’s the other way around. Brookfield is there first. There’s always a Brookfield connection to anything he does internationally, and that should be examined much more closely than it is being examined.”

Swift is not wrong with her assessment about Liberals and their preferential business dealings with China. This is in spite of the fact for Canada the trade comparison of China with the United States does not add up.

• Canadian merchandise exports to the United States in 2025: approximately $520–550 billion

• Canadian merchandise exports to China in 2025: C$33.48 billion (domestic exports; some reports round to $34.1 billion including minor adjustments).

Of course, imports are different, Canada brought in $90.62 billion in goods from China in 2025, as our political leaders have manufactured the world where most of our manufacturing for most of our commercial needs are now done in China Canadian merchandise imports from China in 2025: C$90.62 billion.

Facts show that the financial reward to Canada for Liberals chasing the red dragon does not provide what Canada needs for immediate trade relief. Canada needs the trade deal with the United States to facilitate those continued half trillion trade exports to the USA, the Canadian economy relies on, yet, as this article will show you, Carney’s focus has been on China, not a new trade deal with the United States.

Historically, Liberals have always admired China. Justin Trudeau even openly admired China’s “basic dictatorship” at a public event. In 2013 Justin Trudeau said at a “Ladies Night” political fundraiser:

“There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say, we need to go green as fast as we need to start investing in solar. There is a flexibility that I know [Prime Minister] Stephen Harper must dream about, of having a dictatorship that he could do everything he wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

Liberals have an almost legendary history of praising China’s communist dictatorship. This also goes back to Canada’s earlier Trudeau — Pierre Elliott Trudeau. In 1973, former Prime Minister Trudeau Sr. said of China:

“... their genius in creating a system that, in comparison with all previous Chinese social systems, is striving to provide human dignity and equality of opportunity for the Chinese people.”

Now that Trudeau Jr. has been pushed out of the way by Mark Carney, it appears that it is Carney who has become Trudeau’s eager successor as Beijing’s greatest western acolyte.

One has to wonder is it an ideological affinity, economic naivety, or as Swift says, something more transactional related to Carney’s and his cronies’ personal investments which could be influencing the thinking and Canada’s policy direction today.

One thing is for certain, in addition to declaring that the new world order is upon us while in China in January 2026, Carney has also praised the Chinese currency again and again and again saying he wants it to become the primary currency for world trade.

Here is what we tracked down where Carney is on the record praising China.

In March 2024, as the United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Change and co-chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), Carney actually expressed optimism that China could be a world leader on green energy and net zero.

"China has made a huge contribution to the fight against climate change, not only in terms of its massive investment in clean technologies and exporting them to other countries, but also in actively developing the financial system needed for the green transition.”

This is of course another bald-faced lie from Carney to suck up to China for financial reasons since China continues to add new coal plants to its energy grid all the time. According to the International Energy Agency: “In China, coal demand grew by 1.2% (43 Mtce) in 2024, reaching a new all-time high. The country now consumes nearly 40% more coal than the rest of the world combined.”

In March 2025 the 21st Century Business Herald, a Chinese publication, Carney said, “It is good that the Chinese currency has become the global reserve currency.” And he said that the “renminbi’s status as a reserve currency, expanding its international use will be one of the most important factors.”

Carney also praised China in this video (above) found by Canada Proud, which seems to have originated while Carney was the Bank of England governor. Carney said:

“In June, under my predecessor, the Bank of England signed such an agreement with the People’s Bank of China and this reflects the growing international role of the Renminbi. It dovetails with the possibility of establishing a Renminbi clearing bank here in London and it is also consistent with our broader policy of openness to hosting foreign wholesale banking activities, which could be extended to branches of Chinese banks.

“Now, helping internationalization of the Chinese currency is a global good consistent with London’s historic role.”

As the governor of the Bank of England, at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium in 2019 (organized by the United States Federal Reserve), Carney again praised China’s currency saying it should be the “reserve” currency and he criticized the USA:

“And the most likely candidate for true reserve currency status, the [Chinese] Renminbi (RMB), has a long way to go before it is ready to assume the mantle. The initial building blocks are there. Already, China is the world’s leading trading nation, overtaking the US at the start of this decade. And the Renminbi is now more common than sterling in oil future benchmarks, despite having no share in the market prior to 2018.”

These are all things Carney said before he became Prime Minister. During the 2025 leadership debate on national television, Carney was asked about who Canada’s biggest security threat is, Mark Carney replied:

“I think the biggest security threat to Canada is China.”

When Carney was asked by a reporter in 2026 if he still thought China was the biggest security threat to Canada since Carney was now negotiating with China and allowing Chinese EVs into Canada and negotiating secret RCMP MOUs with China etc. etc., Carney glibly answered with a smug smile:

“The security landscape continues to change, and in a world that’s more dangerous and divided, we face many threats. That’s the reality, and the job, my responsibilities as Prime Minister, the job of the government is to manage those threats.”

None of Mark Carney’s past speeches praising China and lobbying for the Chinese currency to become the world currency of trade have ever been questioned by anyone in the corporate bought and paid for Canadian media.

Even American Democrats Are Raising Eyebrows

The absurdity reached new heights when Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) expressed alarm at Canada’s willingness to roll out the red carpet for Chinese electric vehicles — the very same ones the US is trying to keep at arm’s length for national security reasons.

She highlighted the risks of cars complete with data packages “sending back 3D video and mapping and geolocation and can be hacked back to Beijing.” A former CIA officer himself, the senator called these “national security issues, not just economic security issues.”

Let that sink in. A Democrat from a border state is tougher on Chinese infiltration than our Liberal Prime Minister.

The same Mark Carney who lectures us about the “new world order” seems perfectly content letting potential Beijing surveillance devices roll onto Canadian roads.

Nothing says “strategic autonomy” like importing cars that phone home to the Ministry of State Security.

Are Canadians Interested in the China Takeover?

Polls show shockingly few — around 6% in some surveys — view Chinese (and Russian) interference as a top concern (Abacus).

That’s dangerous complacency.

People tune out.

But ignoring the dragon doesn’t make it disappear. It just gives it more room to roam through our institutions, our data, and our democracy.

We need transparency on these secret agreements. We need to scrap the dangerous EV experiment. And we need leaders who put Canadian sovereignty and citizen safety ahead of playing nice with authoritarians.

Because if China’s “don’t lecture me in public” is now our foreign policy doctrine, we’re not standing on guard for Canada — we’re standing down for China.

And that should worry every single one of us.

THE BROOKFIELD - CARNEY CHINA CONNECTIONS EXPOSED | PATTERNS IN POWER

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

Analysis on the Chinese Trade Missions to China in a few short months indicate a lightening pace of speed for official Canadian diplomatic and trade engagements as well as Brookfield deals with continual overlap of the two. See the table at the bottom of article for comparison of dates.

One of the key overlaps is when Canada and its financiers and bankers including a Brookfield representative were included in the Apr. 3, 2026, mission led by Finance Minister Champagne, which included unrecorded meetings between these bankers and Chinese officials — all Carney cronies. More on this in the analysis below.

China Trade Mission 1: Jan. 13–17, 2026

Carney’s visit to Beijing marked the first by a Canadian PM since 2017. In January Carney met with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, forging a new Canada-China Strategic Partnership and securing agreements on agricultural market access (e.g., canola, lobster, peas) and broader trade/energy cooperation.

The timing aligned with Brookfield’s continued expansion in the very sectors (energy transition and infrastructure) that were central to the discussions. Carney said the infamous “New World Order” statement at this meeting to the seeming horror of Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan, who was sitting beside Carney, and just trying to get a simple trade deal for Saskatchewan and Canadian canola (and pork) producers.

“The new “strategic partnership” will slash tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and certain agricultural and food products – including Canadian canola, lobsters and crab” (What to know about the Canada-China trade deal on EVs and canola - The Globe and Mail)

CANADA GAVE CHINA

• EV access into Canada from China: The 100% surtax has been repealed. Eligible Chinese-made EVs including passenger vehicles and certain electric trucks can now enter under a country-specific annual quota of 49,000 vehicles at the tariff rate of 6.1%.

CANADA GOT FROM CHINA

• Canola to China: Canola seed: Previous 84–85% tariff NOW reduced to a combined applied rate of approximately 14.9–15%. This significantly improves market access for roughly $4 billion in annual Canadian exports; Canola meal: Previous: 100% tariffs NOW removed from March 1, 2026, until at least the end of 2026; Canola oil was not fully addressed in the initial deal and may still face restrictions or require further negotiations.

• Seafood to China: The 25% additional tariff has been removed until the end of 2026 For lobster the tariff is NOW approximately 7%; For snow crab: Similar removal of the 25% surcharge.

• Canadian Pork Exports to China: The 25% tariff on pork remains in place. Some progress was noted on related areas (e.g., resumption of Canadian porcine genetics and pet food protocols), but pork itself continues to face barriers. Further talks may address this in the future.

China Trade Mission 2: Apr. 3, 2026

Minister of Finance François-Philippe Champagne led a Canadian delegation who met with with China’s Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials Apr. 3, 2026.

Champagne claimed, “If you want to expand your trade, you need financial services. You need to be able to provide that kind of services to the exporters that want to do more in the Chinese market.”

But what is the real reason for a banker-focused trade mission to China that included Brookfield? And what about all the other trade missions/ photo ops, 15 of which we outline and track later on in this article.

Participating in the trade mission focusing on “financial services” included four government officials:

(1) Minister of Finance and National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne led the delegation; (2) Tiff Macklem — governor of the Bank of Canada; (3) Peter Routledge — superintendent of Financial Institutions; and (4) Jennifer May — Canada’s ambassador to China (hosted/greeted the group).

Also participating in the trade mission included 11 financiers including a representative of Brookfield:

(1) Daniel Cheng — managing partner and head of Greater China / Asia Pacific (Brookfield Asset Management, specifically in the Energy/Renewable Power & Transition group); (2) Scott Brison (former minister) — vice-chair, BMO Wealth Management (former Cabinet colleague of Champagne); (3) Phil Witherington — CEO, Manulife; (4) Kevin Strain — CEO, Sun Life; (5) Vivi Hou — CEO, Power Pacific (Power Corp. related); (6) Vincent Joli-Coeur — Asia-Pacific Chair, National Bank (Banque Nationale); (7) Alex Tam — CEO, CIBC Hong Kong; (8) Ran Liu — Managing Director, Global Public Affairs, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB); (9) Tina Qiu — Head, RBC Beijing Branch; (10) Ying Du — Asia lead, Mackenzie Investments; and (11) Scott Bao — China representative, TD Bank.

China Trade Mission 3: Apr. 12-14, 2026

International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu set to visit the People's Republic of China from April 12–14 to promote stronger economic ties and greater market access.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025 to 2026: CHINA

Brookfield’s substantial exposure to Chinese renewables, infrastructure, real estate, and related transition assets creates direct overlap with the energy, clean technology, and trade pillars were advanced during the trade mission. This includes Brookfield’s historical financial ties (e.g., Bank of China loans secured during Carney’s Brookfield tenure) and the risk that strengthened bilateral ties and market access could indirectly enhance opportunities or valuations for the firm’s existing Chinese portfolio. Public and political scrutiny remains elevated given the scale of Brookfield’s China investments and Carney’s prior leadership role.

Before Carney’s Liberal Leadership Bid & General Election

• March 25, 2024: Carney met with Chinese President Xi Jinping as part of a select group of Western business leaders. The meeting was part of China’s efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties with the West. Discussions focused on trade, economic cooperation between China and North America, and investment opportunities (aligning with Brookfield’s interests in renewables, infrastructure, and real estate in China).

  

• Oct. 18 - 20, 2024: After Carney was appointed as the official economic advisor for the Liberal party of Canada, appointed by the Prime Minister as the “Chair Leader’s Task Force on Economic Growth” Carney attended China’s Annual Conference of the Financial Street Forum 2024 where he met with Beijing Mayor Yin Yong (also deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee) held at the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau headquarters.

  

  • Carney also participated in a “high-level dialogue session,” with Zhou Xiaochuan (former governor of the People’s Bank of China). and Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock, seen below in the picture with Ghislaine Maxwell and the Carneys.

• Blurring lines between Carney’s official position and his Brookfield business, at this time, he secured a loan for Brookfield from the Bank of China, refinancing Brookfield’s Shanghai commercial real estate holdings in the amount of $276 million (USD) $1.96 billion yuan for Brookfield. The deal was completed in November 2024.

After the Canadian General Election When Carney Became Prime Minister

• Apr. 3, 2026: Brookfield executive Daniel Cheng, who heads Greater China for Brookfield, participated in a trade mission with several banks and the governor of the Bank of Canada along with Champagne. Cheng on the Brookfield website Cheng tows the Brookfield highly lucrative party line when he says:

  “There are significant decarbonization trends in China driven by the private and public sectors as well as the regulatory environment that remains highly supportive of long-term energy transition.”

  

• The trip focused on “financial services” and Canadian “pensions.” Cheng who is headquartered in China, is listed among the participants in the mission alongside the other financial executives. participated in a Canadian trade mission with Champagne for a meeting with Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials.

• January 2025: China Life Insurance Interest in Brookfield’s Proposed China Green/Renewables Fund. Reported as a potential anchor investor commitment. Not a finalized, closed deal in public sources.

• November 2025: Brookfield Targeting $2 Billion (USD) Continuation Vehicle for China Renewables Portfolio In talks to raise the fund (target ~USD $2 billion equivalent, RMB-denominated) to roll over existing ~3 GW of operational wind and solar assets. Interest from Chinese LPs including state-backed insurers (e.g., China Life mentioned as potential participant). Not confirmed as closed/finalized in available reports.

• Aug. 14, 2025: David Levi, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield’s Global Client Group, Meeting with Vice Commerce Minister Ling Ji High-level meeting; the minister welcomed Brookfield to establish renewable energy funds and make long-term investments in China (an invitation rather than a binding agreement).

• March 23, 2025: Bruce Flatt, CEO, Meeting with Vice Premier He Lifeng (). Bilateral meeting during the China Development Forum period. Discussions on economic cooperation and foreign investment encouragement. No specific Brookfield deal announced or signed.

I just got back from British Columbia, where I buried my mother’s ashes in the Comox Valley, a place I still call home and yearn to be again. While I was there, I did what any real journalist would do: I talked to everyone I could about the single biggest threat facing the province — Aboriginal title and the NDP’s disastrous embrace of the United Nations’ Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, better known as DRIPA.

BC now has what is essentially a coalition government led by the Marxist/NDP Premier David Eby and the aboriginal chiefs, who are elected by less than 1% of the population. BC has the most pronounced two-tired justice system in Canada; there is no equality under the law when race and ethnicity establish a special status for some citizens that others cannot enjoy. There are no actual property rights in the province when land ownership is established and defined by race. Ultimately, BC has become a state like Nazi Germany where “Aryan” citizens had rights and Jewish “non-citizens” had no rights. An Aryan had the right to dispossess a Jewish person of his or her property or remove them from an apartment because Jews did not have the same rights as Aryans. Property ownership and access to living quarters were decided on the basis of race — just as they are in BC today.

George Orwell’s Animal Farm is now in theaters. It has not been getting very good reviews, but we do know that we are living Animal Farm today with Canada’s identity politics and acceptance of DRIPA — another international treaty. If you want to see Animal Farm in real life, go no further than BC, where some people are mor equal than others; where justice is meted out according to race and property rights are enjoyed on the basis of ethnicity.

This was Orwell’s penultimate novel, released in 1943 at the height of the Second World War when virtually everyone — even lifelong anti-communist Winston Churchill — was saying nice things about the Soviet Union because they were fighting the same enemy in Nazi Germany. Orwell did the unpopular thing and described the Stalinism as it really was.

I started an audio book of Animal Farm a couple of years back but just couldn’t continue when my cat, Sasha, died. It was just too painful, especially since there is a cat in the novel who also perishes.

But it is time to start again.

Decades of Warnings Ignored

I’ve been warning about this for decades. I opposed Aboriginal self-government long before it became fashionable because I knew exactly where it would lead: division, balkanization, and identity politics gone completely mad. Even I didn’t imagine it would get this absurd.

The NDP-Chiefs Coalition

British Columbia today is effectively governed by a coalition between Premier David Eby’s Marxist NDP and a handful of Aboriginal chiefs. I won’t call them “First Nations” chiefs anymore. The term itself is propaganda — it implies they were here first and everyone else is a historical footnote. Canada is a nation of immigrants. We came here to build something better, not to live as second-class citizens in our own country.

Orwell’s Nightmare, Now in BC

Yet that’s exactly what’s happening. We now have a two-tiered justice system, race-based economic policies, and a property rights regime that would make George Orwell blush. As Orwell wrote so brilliantly in Animal Farm:

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

Welcome to modern British Columbia, comrades. If you have the right ancestry, you can claim just about any piece of land your ancestors “walked on.” Private property? That’s for the less equal.

CARNEY — MOST CORRUPT PRIME MINISTER IN CANADIAN HISTORY

Through an investigative series of articles we are exposing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s areas of conflict and potential conflict related to the overlap of Brookfield Asset Management activities and his political role. We examined 15 diplomatic and trade missions. We asked AI to analyze the potential level of Carney’s conflict of interest that might arise from these trade and diplomatic missions when cross referenced with Brookfield deals in the same area as the recent trade missions. Out of Carney’s 15 trade missions, nine were judged to be within a range of high to very high risk for conflict of interest.

This includes China (High); Norway (High); Japan (High); Australia (High); India (High); Qatar (High); Ukraine (Very High); Sweden (High); and UAE (Very High). Note that Ukraine and UAE were found to be Very High risk for a Carney conflict of interest.

TODAY we are putting the Canada - Ukraine relationship and Carney’s conflicts under the microscope. Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney participated in the 8th European Political Community summit in Armenia May 3 to 4, 2026 where he provided $270M more funding to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

More money was announced for Ukraine on:

• May 4, 2026 $270 million

• April 3, 2026 over $51 million

• PLUS, April 24, 2026 $ 8 million to continue to fix up Chornobyl

The Prime Minister’s Office in August 2025 and also in Armenia May 2026 that Canada is “the largest per capita financial contributor among G7 countries.” This is being noted as a patriotic point of pride — how much money Canada is giving to Ukraine with no checks or balances, or audits of where the money is going.

The decision to fund more money to Ukraine is likely due to Carney participating in the European summit and also that the United States as of May 2026 has now excluded Ukraine in its military aid budget, probably because it cannot realistically afford to wage war against Iran and continue to prop up the corrupt regime in Kyiv. There is nothing left for Ukraine.

New Trump 2027 Budget Proposal Excludes Ukraine Military Aid (May 1, 2026)

So, Zelenskyy must turn to Canada again.

If you look at the timing of this Canada seems to be giving Ukraine now roughly either biennial or perhaps speeding this up to quarterly payments of over $2 billion per period:

• February 2026 over $2 billion

• December 2026 $2.5 billion

• August 2025 $2 billion

As you will note, the Ukraine Canadian risk of conflict is flagged as being very high due to close timing between major Brookfield business moves and Carney’s diplomatic engagements or aid announcements with matching sectors—nuclear/energy reconstruction.

By April/May 2026 Canada’s total military and aid to Ukraine have exceeded $25.8 billion since 2022.

Of note, however, is that Canada is offering a lesser amount right now at this meeting than in the past. This is likely due to this funding being part of an apparently collaborative funding with other nations according to Carney and likely also as a symbolic as a finger in the eye to President Donald Trump who just dropped the Ukraine funding according to reports.

In Armenia on May 4, 2026, Carney explained this latest diminished funding package for Ukraine:

“It’s actually started ramping up little more than a year ago, called it’s basically the prioritized military equipment for the Ukraine. So it’s prioritized by Ukraine. The Pearl acronym is prioritized Ukrainian. And so there are a series of packages that are made available. Canada has participated. A number of them. There were there. They’re not divisible as package. You can’t send part of the missile system. You have to send the whole thing. And with this, with this money, we’re going to be able to complete one of the packages with some Nordic partners, with Belgium and others.”

Meanwhile Canadian actual spending on actual military equipment desperately needed by Canadian troops in the field continues to decline and likely is being cannibalized further by the Ukrainians for the continued war in Russia that has killed an astronomical number of young men in Ukraine. Canadian sources from CSIS say: “Ukrainian forces likely suffered somewhere between 500,000 and 600,000 casualties, including killed, wounded, and missing, and between 100,000 and 140,000 fatalities between February 2022 and December 2025.” This estimation is ridiculously low for a war that has scene human loss on a scale experienced during the First World War.

The population of Ukraine has declined by at least 10 million and as much as 13 million people since 2021. While this has been a consequence of a lower birth rate and massive emigration prompted by the war, it has been a direct result of a battlefield deaths. The war dead populate mass cemeteries in Ukraine that are reminiscent of those that were constructed throughout Europe at the end of the Great War.

Meanwhile, former Lieut.-Gen. Andrew Leslie (Ret.) told the House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defence in 2024 that the Canadian Armed Forces was literally out of ammunition after giving away so much of its inventory to Ukraine:

“Canada’s military readiness is at its lowest level in 50 years. Canada spent the last year in 2023 more money on consultants and professional services than it did on the Army, Navy and Air Force combined, which quite frankly, is madness. The Army has over 50% of its vehicle fleets, which are awaiting spare parts and technicians. The Navy is struggling mightily, bless them, to keep elderly warships, a handful of them at sea, specifically in the Indo Pacific, and they’re desperately short of trained sailors. And the Air Force has been unable to participate in significant NATO deterrent exercises, either up north or out over the oceans, in conjunction with our friends and allies, because they don’t have the pilots, the spare parts or the money to fly the aircraft in the arc, which is many times larger than Europe. Canada has fewer than 300 military support staff who are not deterrent. They’re essentially unarmed. Some of them are part time, bless them, and about 1600 SkiDoo equipped with rifles Canadian Rangers who are not combatants, their role is to observe and report. The bottom line is that Canada has no permanently assigned combat elements to deter potential presence by the Russians or the Chinese who are showing up in our waters with increasing frequency.”

BREAKING ZELENSKYY CORRUPTION SCANDAL

In a breaking story on May 3, 2026, the Kyiv Independent explained how Ukraine’s largest corruption investigation under Zelenskyy — involving a $100 million kickback scheme (codenamed “Operation Midas”) — is one step closer to directly connecting to Zelenskyy.

The investigation is centered on Energoatom, Ukraine’s state-owned nuclear power company where insiders were allegedly found skimming from procurement money. Contractors/suppliers to the Ukrainian state nuclear authority were allegedly forced to pay 10–15% kickbacks to Zelenskyy administration officials, who are now under investigation, in order to avoid payment delays or losing contracts. Embezzled funds were allegedly used for luxury houses near Kyiv and other sources of personal enrichment.

The scandal involves Timur Mindich, who is Zelenskyy’s longtime business partner and co-owner of his production company. Minich is named as the alleged ringleader. He has reportedly fled to Israel.

Allegedly, there are now audio tapes that are part of an investigation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) that centered around the state nuclear monopoly, where according to the Kyiv Independent, “The new transcripts of the alleged calls between the culprits have them hint at the president's involvement. The corruption scandal may have political ramifications for Zelensky, if his role is confirmed, analysts say.”

Very interesting to note is that Energoatom, the Ukraine state nuclear monopoly which the kickbacks are related to, now under the corruption investigation, has extensive, long-standing partnerships with Westinghouse which is majority-owned by Brookfield 51% (majority/controlling interest) and Cameco: 49%.

An interesting fact is that the majority of the Ukraine state owned 15 operable reactors are reportedly supplied by Westinghouse contracts that helped Ukraine move away from Russian nuclear supplies and technology. (World Nuclear News & Grok)

Westinghouse, Brookfield, and Cameco have not yet been mentioned in the reporting on this Ukrainian/ Zelenskyy corruption scandal. However, it is also interesting that these corruption scandals continue to break, now closely related to Brookfield and other Canadian companies, and the Canadian taxpayer funding to Ukraine continues to flow. Because Carney can count on the bought and paid for corporate mainstream media NOT reporting the Ukraine corruption and the links to Brookfield and Carney.

PATTERNS IN POWER CARNEY CONFLICT ANALYSIS

Below is a summary from the article of the “very high-risk” conflicts of interest we found for Mark Carney and his Brookfield investments held in “blind trust” that are managed by his Chief of Staff. Knowing he has not sold his stocks in the blind trust, these will no doubt continue to influence his policy decisions to continue to fund the war rather than help Ukraine and Russia reach a peace agreement.

8. Ukraine Reconstruction and Aid Mission: Dec. 27, 2025 and Aug. 24, 2025(with cumulative commitments exceeding $25.5 billion)

• Conflict Analysis Very High Mission funded energy stabilization; Brookfield’s 51% Westinghouse stake in multiple Ukrainian nuclear plants benefits from reconstruction and aid commitments

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

There are two huge areas of conflict of interest for Carney and Ukraine that includes Brookfield reconstruction contracts and Brookfield nuclear reactors that keep the Canadian taxpayer money flowing to Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

Since Mark Carney became Prime Minister, he met with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy two times to give him money:

• Dec. 27, 2025 (Meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia): Amount announced: $2.5 billion in aid and military equipment during Zelenskyy’s visit to Halifax. Carney announcement included loan guarantees to the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, IMF financing facilitation, and debt suspension measures—explicitly tied to reconstruction and energy stabilization.

• Aug. 24, 2025 (Meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian Independence Day): Amount announced: $2 billion CAD in military assistance while Carney was in Kyiv committing Canada to continued military, technical and reconstruction support under the 2024 security agreement.

This aid model mirrors U.S. efforts to mobilize private capital (including through blended finance and guarantees) for a projected $400 billion+ reconstruction effort focused on energy, infrastructure, and economic stabilization. Brookfield is a major beneficiary for both nuclear plants already constructed in Ukraine and for reconstruction efforts, which we will show you later in this section.

Canada also maintains a 35% tariff on virtually all Russian goods, including nitrogen fertilizers and later expanded full import prohibitions (as of mid-2025) on fertilizers and related goods. No commercial shipments have occurred since mid-2022 in spite of Canada being the only G7 nation that is penalizing its own farmers with this tariff.” This is a sanction that impacts Canadian farmers who buy Russian fertilizer, making fertilizer more expensive for Canadian farmers.

In contrast, the United States chose to NOT sanction fertilizer from Russian during an ongoing food crisis. Canada even ignored the United Nations not to impose barriers on the fertilizer trade when the global food supply is threatened — in this case by the war in the Middle East.

And even though many reports are predicting “The coming global food crisis” due to 20% of the fertilizer stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, this Canadian or “Ukraine First” policy preventing the free flow of much needed fertilizer still stands in Canada to this day.

Some, such as Mario Nawfal who posted on X that this sort of past and current policy environment in Canada goes beyond “standard sanctions” and should be called out as “Ukraine First” not Canada first.

Nawful explains:

“Now that Freeland has officially resigned her seat, she literally works directly for Kyiv. The “Freeland Doctrine” looks less like an alliance strategy and more like a plan to put a foreign agenda above North American economic security, causing instability in energy markets and rare earths supply chains in Eastern Europe and the CIS that everyday Americans are paying for.

”She was the one who advanced the high-stakes freezing of Russia’s central bank assets, a move that ignored traditional caution and reshaped the global financial system overnight. On a micro level, she wantonly imposed sanctions on American companies for sheer involvement in Russia decades ago, all likely under the direction of Ukraine.”

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: UKRAINE

But the crux of today’s Canada’s “Ukraine First” policy with obscene amounts of money referenced above still being sent to Ukraine, even though Freeland is no longer officially in Canadian government, can now be tracked back to Mark Carney’s stock portfolio within his so called “blind trust.” Brookfield is the majority shareholder in many nuclear reactors in Ukraine. Brookfield and Cameco own Westinghouse where one or more of its nuclear plants may fall within the Russian occupied section of Ukraine. If Ukraine stops fighting Brookfield and Carney lose control of the future ownership of that nuclear energy plant to Russia. A summary of Brookfield activities and Carney conflicts are as follows:

On July 10, 2025, at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2025) in Rome, Italy, three senior Westinghouse executives attended and participated in key agreements with Ukraine’s state nuclear company Energoatom: Dan Lipman — Westinghouse President; Aziz Dag — Westinghouse Senior Vice President; and Katie Strangis — Westinghouse representative. This nuclear infrastructure work that Brookfield is involved in directly aligns with Carney’s aid announcements focused on energy stabilization and reconstruction.

There are two huge areas of conflict of interest for Carney and Ukraine, both involve Brookfield.

1) On Apr. 30, 2025, the United States and Ukraine formalized an agreement to rebuild Ukraine’s war-torn economy through a U.S.–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. On this list Brookfield is listed as number 3 BFG Wealth Management so Brookfield will be significantly benefitting when the war comes to an end. Carney is actually invested in seven out of the nine companies that will benefit from the Ukraine construction including: BlackRock funding Inc.-related, JP Morgan Chase, Brookfield, Citigroup, Aon, Honeywell, and GE-related entities. The only companies on this list that Carney is NOT invested in are ArcelorMittal and Vestas Wind Systems.

These facts that are in evidence and publicly declared, do indicate that Carney is taking war profiteering in Ukraine to a whole new level.

2) However, Brookfield/ Westinghouse supplies and provides the technology for a significant number of nuclear reactors already built in Ukraine before the reconstruction even begins. Ukraine’s nuclear fuel supply and technology is tied to Westinghouse contracts while Energoatom, the Ukraine state nuclear monopoly owns the nuclear plants themselves.

According to the World Nuclear News, “Ukraine has 15 operable reactors including the six at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which has been under Russian military control since early March 2022.”

These three plants Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and South Ukraine continue to generate a large portion of Ukraine’s electricity often 50–60% of the country’s supply. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southeastern Ukraine, that is under Russian control, has been shut down since 2022.

Analysis shows that Brookfield is seeking energy dominance in Ukraine in several ways by securing fuel supply contracts, leading new reactor construction projects, and leveraging geopolitical reconstruction support. The nuclear reactors give Brookfield a strategic edge in Ukraine.

Brookfield holds a controlling 51% ownership interest in Westinghouse Electric Company with Cameco owning the remaining 49%, a structure in place since November 2023. Several of these nuclear reactors are in the Ukraine — Russia borderlands and they are currently either in the Russian controlled regions or extremely close to the Russian controlled areas. See map above.

The nuclear reactor plants that Brookfield supplies in Ukraine includes:

Existing / Planned Sites (with realistic estimates):

• Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant (Western Ukraine)
  Units 5 and 6 (two AP1000 reactors) — lead/pilot project, engineering underway
  ~$5 billion per unit

• Rivne (Rovno) Nuclear Power Plant (Northwestern Ukraine)
  Additional AP1000 units
  ~$5 billion+ per unit

• South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant (Southern Ukraine)
  Additional AP1000 units
  ~$5 billion+ per unit

• Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (Southeastern Ukraine)
  Currently occupied by Russia
  Potential future replacement/expansion site (cost not assigned)

Plans for New Plants:

• Additional AP1000 units at existing sites (Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, South Ukraine) beyond the initial units mentioned

• Possible new greenfield sites in western or central Ukraine (still in early discussion phase, not yet finalized or named)

If the borders remain based on Russian controlled territory it means the Brookfield/Cameco/Westinghouse loses the future contracts for at least one, perhaps more, nuclear reactor(s). So, is this a key motivating factor for Carney to continue to use our taxes to fund the Ukraine war?

It’s definitely another conflict.

One of the patterns that has come out in our research tracking Mark Carney’s trade missions and Brookfield Asset Management — Carney’s former company — shows how the rise of Mark Carney and Brookfield are perfectly lined up with the decline of Canada.

Is this merely a coincidence?

According to Canadian Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre, Carney is intertwining politics and his own economic personal gain and this is making Canada into a “political economy,” rather than a functioning real economy that benefits the majority of its people:

“Remember that he pushed for heat pumps, pump subsidies. Well, Brookfield sells heat pumps. Remember he pushed for money printing inflation? Well, the CEO of Brookfield confirmed on May 20 of last year that Brookfield profits off of inflation. ‘Many of our things are regulated rate based or contractual in nature, and inflation is actually a positive to the numbers. So as inflation comes in, it actually helps the revenue streams of those businesses,’ [said] the CEO of Brookfield.

“And then, of course, this is a prime minister who said little over a year ago that he had successfully lobbied for a more expensive form of so-called sustainable aviation fuel, right before Brookfield, his company, invested a billion dollars in that same fuel.

“So, forcing Canadian passengers to pay higher airline fees for this pricier fuel, which then his company profited from.

“This is not business.

“This is political manipulation.

“It raises the cost for everyone, especially those who don’t have political power.

“That is the difference between the real economy and the protected economy. In the real economy, inflation crushes families. It raises grocery bills, it raises rent mortgage payments. It costs you more for gas, heat and electricity. It shuts young people out of home ownership and starting families.

“But in a political economy, inflation can be used as a revenue tool for elites and schemers. Government creates the rule. The rule creates the market. The insider sees the rule coming.

“The insider invests the consumer pays the politically connected profit.”

“Carneyism,” which I am coining to describe the political and economic phenomenon of Mark Carney, is becoming the new way institutions and our economy are marching forward. Carneyism falls somewhere between communism and fascism, but, like both of these ideologies, a Carneyist state controls the economy for the benefit of an elite and restricts the freedoms of the individual: especially freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. Like communism and fascism, Carneyism also seeks to collude with and potentially control the judiciary.

The specifics of Carney’s conflicts of interest include Carney’s disclosure in July 2025 that lists holdings in 567 organizations/entities. Out of Carney’s investments, reportedly, only three were Canadian companies which is roughly 0.5% of the portfolio, with the vast majority, around 550, tied to the United States.

Of course this reality demonstrates Carney’s flagrant hypocrisy in encouraging the end of Canada’s close relationship with the US and chronically sniping at America as some kind of existential threat to Canada even as such talk erodes any chance that Carney might have of sealing a trade agreement with President Donald Trump or even extending something resembling the current agreement that we have with CUSMA. Canada is geographically tied to the US and it remains our strongest trading partner and military ally. Carney knows this as well as anyone and he has benefitted hugely from that reality.

As Catherine Swift, from the Coalition of Concerned of Manufacturers and Business of Canada, noted:

We do 3% of business with China, 75% with United States. But we don’t like Trump. It’s laughable.

Duff Conacher, Democracy Watch, recently testified that Carney has so many conflicts of interests but short of selling his stocks, the outdated rules governing these conflicts mean that 99% of Carney’s decisions are excluded from outside administration. Currently, under “general application … only applies 1% of the time, to very specific decisions.” As a result, Conacher contended, with more than a hint of irony, that it is almost impossible to be in a conflict of interest under the Conflict of Interest (COI) Act,” as they exist currently (page 21, NEW Ethics Committee report).

As we showed in PART 1 of this series, Carney’s so-called blind trust that is administered by his chief of staff, does absolutely nothing to protect Canadians from Carney’s conflicts, because his current stock portfolio includes future earnings in “carried interest” from Brookfield, and he already knows which stocks his policy decisions in Canada will benefit

BROOKFIELD FIRST, CANADA LAST

As the Frank Sinatra song recalls, It was a very good year for Brookfield. Brookfield Asset Management reported record results to the end of 2025 and was able to hike dividends by 15% (Feb 04, 2026). Brookfield fundraised a record $35 billion in the fourth quarter and a total of $112 billion for 2025; its quarterly earnings were up 28% year-over-year.

But it was a very bad year for Canada.

Canada’s economy in 2026 is characterized by persistently weak growth, stagnant productivity, and mounting pressures on ordinary households. While the country has avoided a technical recession, many Canadians are experiencing economic strain through high living costs, a cooling labor market, and a deepening homelessness crisis visible in tent encampments across major cities.

Key economic indicators include:

• More than $1 trillion of investment exited Canada between 2015 to 2024—the largest capital exodus in Canadian history. For every incoming dollar, two dollars left the country during the Trudeau-Carney government. While this Royal Bank of Canada study likely purposely ended when Carney began his tenure as prime minister, we must recall that Carney was advising the Trudeau government for years before he decided to make his political move.

  Gross Domestic Product (GDP): Forecasts for 2026 hover around 1% to 1.3%, that lags behind historical averages and other G7 nations.

• There were 2.2 million food bank visits in a single month. That’s double the monthly usage recorded just six years ago. It took decades to reach one million visits in a month, and it has now taken half a decade to double that.

• The unemployment rate has climbed toward 6.7–7%, with significant full-time job losses reported early in the year. Businesses remain cautious on hiring amid uncertainty.

• Inflation is up 2.4% year-over-year but food and shelter costs continue rising more sharply.

• Standard of Living: The U.S. has pulled ahead significantly on GDP per capita (often 25–45% higher in recent years). The gap has widened notably since ~2015.

So, when Brookfield comes first, does Canada come last?

SOVEREIGN DEBT CRASH OUT

Carney has been getting a free ride in Canada’s corporate mainstream media for too long. He has been portrayed as an economic genius, which reveals either an ignorance or willful blindness of his actual political record as the governor of the Bank of England. This misconception of Carney’s fiscal policy genius has reaped considerable political dividends for Carney.

Carney’s actual record is defined by his setting up tax dodging green funds for Brookfield in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and the Isle of Man, to an aggressive campaign to steal democracy with floor crossings that have been prompted by inducements that border on bribery. In one short year, Carney has combined underhanded political practices with poor fiscal policies and yet his polling numbers have not declined. He has failed to deliver a trade agreement with Trump nor build anything but a handful of homes but he has moved forward on censorship and surveillance legislation. But according to a Leger poll released May 1, 50% of Canadians approve of Carney’s performance.

Carney’s free ride from the mainstream media may be finally changing with the recent release of the “Spring Economic Update” (that has now replaced the budget) and Carney’s new “sovereign wealth fund.” Many of Parliamentary Press Gallery perennials are just not buying it this time. Expecting the media to embrace his emerging incompetence and growing corruption may be a bridge too far for Carney.

Reporters are starting to wake up and take notice. On April 30, 2026 the Turkish Voice of Canada asked Carney about the Canada Strong Fund (sovereign wealth fund) and the new Defence Bank, specifically inquiring whether the government is moving tens of billions into arms-length corporations to operate outside direct parliamentary scrutiny — essentially creating a “shadow budget” that shields debt and investment risks from House of Commons accountability. Carney laughed and denied it. But his cavalier giggles were a clear admission that he comprehended this reporter understood exactly what was going on.

WATCH CARNEY’S RESPONSE TO TURKISH VOICE REPORTER

The bloom is wearing off Carney. Finally. The CBC political panel on Rosemary Barton’s show, are all collectively bailing on Carney. On CBC, such stalwart guests as Althia Raj, and Andrew Coyne both now refer to Carney’s “authoritarian streak” in relation to Carney’s power grab silencing opposition in committees and making cabinet ministers above the law. Chantal Hebert recently said Carney was using dumb strategy to use his majority for these raw power moves. Barton herself, during the general election, aggressively questioned Carney on his conflicts of interest saying “it’s very difficult to believe” that “there’s no possible conflict of interest in your assets.”

Carney really put Barton in her place when he said:

“Look inside yourself Rosemary. I mean, you start from a prior of conflict and ill will.

After this dressing down by the PM, Barton has eschewed mentioning Carney’s conflicts and in televised segments has tried to run interference for the growing Carney criticism.

How long will this last though, especially given the continued subsidization of the mainstream media by the Liberal government?

Sovereign wealth funds are increasing in global finance. Norway’s is the most well known. They are built on fiscal surpluses and supposed to help diversify economies.

Carney said the Canada Strong Fund or sovereign “wealth” fund will be managed by an arm’s-length independent Crown corporation that will report to Parliament, and his government will spend the next few months consulting on “specific aspects of the fund.”

However, in 2024 this new fund is very much like the old fund Carney proposed to Canada’s former Finance Minister Freeland and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on behalf of Brookfield. According to the Financial Post, in September 2024 Carney pitched a similar fund which was a “Multi-billion fund involving Brookfield, Ottawa and major pensions being discussed, sources say”:

“The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the talks have not yet been made public, indicate that global investment firm Brookfield Corp. pitched the proposal and could be an investor and possibly manage the fund, with hopes that pooled investment dollars would reach $50 billion.”

Carney has been trying to launch this fund in Canada for years; Trudeau and Freeland must have said no. They got in his way, so both had to be pushed aside.

From this point forward, all hell broke loose in Canadian politics and the economy.

Another interesting “coincidence” from Carney’s jet-setting: in seven out of the 15 trade missions Carney partook in, all those countries have sovereign wealth funds that have investments in Brookfield. The sovereign wealth investments in Brookfield from those companies comes to over $53.6 billion.

Former Ontario Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Lisa Macleod explained the devastating impacts of Carney’s recent abuse of democracy in Canada. Macleod stated on X:

“In fact, in our Westminster system, the only places I could find mass defections and inducements that changed the balance of power were in East Africa - Malawi, Kenya. Kenya now has strict anti-defection laws to prevent such abuses of power.

”Every other example in mature democracies - UK, Australia, NZ and Canada (before Carney) were either through a single independent crosser (not mass inducement), Speakership or coalitions and accords. In the latter three instances they were all carried out transparently and in the House.

”Every thinking person in Canada should really have a good look at what this means. Holding the crossers as trophies or traitors is actually beside the point. What is at stake is much bigger than them. It is the autocracy that Carney is creating and its acceptance by media, sycophants and pacifists.’

We fact checked this and found it to be all true.

Canada under Carney is the only country to have this many mass floor crossing defections — other than Kenya and Malawi where parliamentary power was shifted with “inducements [and] patronage” causing instability. In a paper written in 2009 called, Laws Against Party Switching, Defecting, or Floor-Crossing in National Parliaments, “to stop this sort of horse-trading” and party-hopping that undermined voter mandates laws, Kenya banned floor crossing in its constitution in 2010. This amendment was reinforced with further legislation, so that any Member of Parliament elected on a party ticket will lose his or her seat if they resign from that party.

The plain truth is that Canada has now descended to a level of corruption hitherto only seen in the Third World, while Kenya may be rising to a level of democracy once expected and demanded in Canada.

The House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics (ETHI) adopted a report on Apr. 13, 2026 that recommended that anyone elected as prime minister be forced to sell his or her stock portfolios within 60 days of that election.

This is why attaining a majority government became such an obsession for Carney and the Liberals.

The report was adopted the SAME day as the byelections that saw three Liberals elected. Those victories, combined with the five floor crossers, brought Carney’s Liberals to a narrow two seat majority. So that result could still be overturned if the Conservative MPs decide to resign (floor crosser MP Marilyn Gladu is being sued by her constituents for fraud), forcing more byelections in Conservative areas. This is why the Liberals continue to harass and try to poach MORE floor crossers including Billy Morin from Edmonton and Kelly DeRidder from Kitchener Centre. Both have openly spoken out about the harassment they are experiencing. Morin shared a text message he received from a Liberal with Global New that said:

“Wondering if u ever any reflections had on what it would mean to explore the dark side…We do want to grow out caucus to 7 preferably 8.”

This continued campaign of poaching obviously shows Carney feels his over $435,000 salary per year as prime minister is NOT enough. He wants his multimillion stocks too. The Liberal MPs and the Liberal Party are all protecting Carney’s stock portfolio now, enabling and participating in this third world style enticement campaign of five MPs in five months.

MP John Brassard, (CPC-Barrie—Innisfil), chairman of the House of Commons Ethics Committee that released the recent report recommending the PM sell his stocks, said the most alarming thing he discovered while conducting the study is Carney’s ongoing unfettered access to Brookfield and vice versa:

“Brookfield CFO had a meeting with Prime Minister Carney basically the ability to make a phone call. And he ended up in the prime minister’s office despite the fact that an ethics screen has been set up against Brookfield. So, I think that should concern anyone that there’s that much access to the prime minister’s office uh by uh people that a so-called ethics screen”

All this paints a very bleak and corruption-laden background and environment in Canada.

With this article and the Stand on Guard podcasts, we are seeking to expose the conflicts and corruption that are right there in front of all of us — the proverbial elephant in the room — so we can break the hypnotic hold that Carney seems to have on Canada.

Brassard, in the House of Commons, also recently said:

“It’s a sad indictment on where we are with respect to oversight and accountability and transparency when there are YouTubers who are finding out more about what’s happening within the Liberal government and the scandals and the connections of well-connected insiders, lobbyists, family members, when YouTubers are researching this stuff and finding this stuff out, that’s a sad indictment on where we are with respect to media accountability in this country, confidence in their designated public office holders.”

PATTERNS IN POWER

Economists and Carney critics like Catherine Swift, representing the Coalition of Concerned of Manufacturers and Business of Canada, feel Carney is on the wrong track with trade and the economy.

She explains how Canada-USA trade dwarfs deals with other countries like India or China. Canada–U.S. two-way merchandise trade is enormous — over $1 billion per day on average in recent data. While a trade deal spread over a decade the real trade impacts are tiny compared to daily Canada to U.S. trade volume — equivalent to just a few hours of typical Canada–U.S. trade.

Swift goes onto say that Liberals:

“…make potfuls of money from dealing, from dealings with China. Brookfield is in there like a dirty shirt, as we know, everywhere Carney goes, Brookfield is sure to follow, or maybe it’s the other way around. Brookfield is there first. There’s always a Brookfield connection to anything he does internationally, and that should be examined much more closely than it is being examined.

We are examining these connections in this article.

In this article, we have outlined the dates of Carney’s trade missions for 15 trips and cross referenced it with Brookfield activities, deals and trips to the same places from 2025 to 2026, to clearly lay out the overlap and conflicts.

This is not an all-inclusive list and these trade missions and overlapping Brookfield deals continue to grow.

However, from what we outline, the growing pattern of Carney’s essential corruption and voter betrayal of putting Brookfield first, not Canada first, cannot be denied when you consider that out of the 15 countries Carney has visited, seven have sovereign wealth funds that have invested in Brookfield. We reviewed the amount each country has invested in Brookfield through the individual country’s sovereign wealth funds, and we found it came to roughly more than $53.6 billion. This amount does not include the UAE sovereign wealth fund investments in Brookfield, as the amount invested is not publicly available.

The list is damning. Areas such as Ukraine, Norway, India, Qatar, UAE, France, Australia, Japan, and Sweden stand out due to close timing between major Brookfield business moves and Carney’s diplomatic engagements or aid announcements with matching sectors—nuclear/energy reconstruction, green energy/renewables, AI, critical minerals and liquid natural gas (LNG).

We asked AI to analyze the potential level of Carney’s conflict of interest that might arise from these trade missions when cross referenced with Brookfield deals in the same area as the recent trade missions. Out of Carney’s 15 trade missions, nine were judged to be within a range of high to very high risk for conflict of interest.

This includes: China (High); Norway (High); Japan (High); Australia (High); India (High); Qatar (High); Ukraine (Very High); Sweden (High); and UAE (Very High). Note that Ukraine and UAE were found to be Very High risk for a Carney conflict of interest.

There is a table at the end of the article documenting his trade missions and Brookfield conflicts. This research and the information are not all inclusive. There could be more conflicts. We might have missed some. We feel it is time to release this research and data regarding Carney’s conflicts that we have been collecting, because this list will never be all inclusive as the trade missions, Brookfield activities and the conflicts continue to pile up.

The Canada-China “strategic partnership” trade agreement background includes the following.

Carney campaigned during the general election on China being Canada’s biggest security threat and then months later, a Canada-China trade deal included formal cooperation with China on security, which Terry Glavin, an investigative reporter, called a Trojan Horse. Glavin warned:

“Several core provisions that go far beyond the projected expansion of Chinese electric car imports in exchange for Beijing’s promise to ease tariff barriers on Canadian canola seed and meal and any other trade-related aspects of Canada’s “reset” with China.”

In addition to the trade export deals on canola and pork Carney also made deals that describe how “China welcomes Canadian investment in aerospace and advanced manufacturing in China, but does not foresee Chinese investments in these sectors in Canada.”

POLICE: The RCMP are working with China’s Ministry of Public Security for Bilateral Law Enforcement, a civilian police/intelligence-sharing on transnational crime. “The most alarming agreement Carney concluded in Beijing was the restoration of the relationship between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and China’s dreaded Ministry of Public Security (MPS). That agreement has its origins in a fairly straightforward police liaison arrangement that had evolved during the Harper years into a joint effort to target the Chinese Communist Party’s wealthy fraudsters and embezzlers who routinely absconded to Canada. But it quickly turned out to be a cover for Beijing to target “political criminals,” often relying on coerced interrogations and blackmail.”

MEDIA: A Memorandum of Understanding signed by Chinese propagandist Haixlong Shen and Canadian ambassador Jennifer May describes “mutual support and convenience for media to work in each other’s countries, and provide greater convenience for two-way travel,” and that it should not include independent journalists.

In 2018 Canada even participated in military exchanges with China, but this has not come up recently … yet.

Canada’s right and ability to defend human rights is closely tied with its relationship to China and future trade deals. Recently, one of the floor crossing MPs now working for the Liberals, Michael Ma, confronted witnesses at committee defending China saying it is ”heresay” to question China’s record on Uyghur slave labour. On May 1st, Chinese Ambassador to Canada Wang Di spoke to the Globe and Mail about the new Canada-China “strategic partnership,” where he warned “Canada against sending MPs to Taiwan or warships through Taiwan Strait.”

Analysis on the three Chinese Trade Missions to China in a few short months.

China Trade Mission 1: Jan. 13–17, 2026

Carney’s visit to Beijing marked the first by a Canadian PM since 2017. In January Carney met with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, forging a new Canada-China Strategic Partnership and securing agreements on agricultural market access (e.g., canola, lobster, peas) and broader trade/energy cooperation.

The timing aligned with Brookfield’s continued expansion in the very sectors (energy transition and infrastructure) that were central to the discussions. Carney said the infamous “New World Order” statement at this meeting to the seeming horror of Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan, who was sitting beside Carney, and just trying to get a simple trade deal for Saskatchewan and Canadian canola (and pork) producers.

CANADA GAVE CHINA

• EVs in Canada from China: The 100% surtax has been repealed. Eligible Chinese-made EVs including passenger vehicles and certain electric trucks can now enter under a country-specific annual quota of 49,000 vehicles at the tariff rate of 6.1%.

CANADA GOT FROM CHINA

• Canola to China: Canola seed: Previous 84–85% tariff NOW reduced to a combined applied rate of approximately 14.9–15%. This significantly improves market access for roughly $4 billion in annual Canadian exports; Canola meal: Previous: 100% tariffs NOW removed from March 1, 2026, until at least the end of 2026; Canola oil was not fully addressed in the initial deal and may still face restrictions or require further negotiations.

• Seafood to China: The 25% additional tariff has been removed until the end of 2026 For lobster the tariff is NOW approximately 7%; For snow crab: Similar removal of the 25% surcharge.

• Canadian Pork Exports to China: The 25% tariff on pork remains in place. Some progress was noted on related areas (e.g., resumption of Canadian porcine genetics and pet food protocols), but pork itself continues to face barriers. Further talks may address this in the future.

China Trade Mission 2: Apr. 3, 2026

Minister of Finance François-Philippe Champagne led a Canadian delegation who met with with China’s Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials Apr. 3, 2026.

Champagne claimed, “If you want to expand your trade, you need financial services. You need to be able to provide that kind of services to the exporters that want to do more in the Chinese market.”

But what is the real reason for a banker-focused trade mission to China that included Brookfield? And what about all the other trade missions/ photo ops, 15 of which we outline and track later on in this article.

Participating in the trade mission focusing on “financial services” included four government officials:

(1) François-Philippe Champagne — Minister of Finance and National Revenue (led the delegation); (2) Tiff Macklem — governor of the Bank of Canada; (3) Peter Routledge — superintendent of Financial Institutions; and (4) Jennifer May — Canada’s ambassador to China (hosted/greeted the group).

Also participating in the trade mission included 11 financiers including a representative of Brookfield:

International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu set to visit the People's Republic of China from April 12–14 to promote stronger economic ties and greater market access.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025 to 2026: CHINA

Brookfield’s substantial exposure to Chinese renewables, infrastructure, real estate, and related transition assets creates direct overlap with the energy, clean technology, and trade pillars were advanced during the trade mission. This includes Brookfield’s historical financial ties (e.g., Bank of China loans secured during Carney’s Brookfield tenure) and the risk that strengthened bilateral ties and market access could indirectly enhance opportunities or valuations for the firm’s existing Chinese portfolio. Public and political scrutiny remains elevated given the scale of Brookfield’s China investments and Carney’s prior leadership role.

Before Carney’s Liberal Leadership Bid & General Election

• March 25, 2024: Carney met with Chinese President Xi Jinping as part of a select group of Western business leaders. The meeting was part of China’s efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties with the West. Discussions focused on trade, economic cooperation between China and North America, and investment opportunities (aligning with Brookfield’s interests in renewables, infrastructure, and real estate in China).

• Oct. 18 - 20, 2024: After Carney was appointed as the official economic advisor for the Liberal party of Canada, appointed by the Prime Minister as the “Chair Leader’s Task Force on Economic Growth” Carney attended China’s Annual Conference of the Financial Street Forum 2024 where he met with Beijing Mayor Yin Yong (also deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee) held at the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau headquarters.

  

  • Carney also participated in a “high-level dialogue session,” with Zhou Xiaochuan (former governor of the People’s Bank of China). and Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock, seen below in the picture with Ghislaine Maxwell and the Carneys.

• At this time Carney also secured a loan for Brookfield from the Bank of China, refinancing Brookfield’s Shanghai commercial real estate holdings in the amount of $276 million (USD) $1.96 billion yuan for Brookfield. The deal was completed in November 2024.

After the Canadian General Election When Carney Became Prime Minister

• Apr. 3, 2026: Brookfield executive Daniel Cheng, who heads Greater China for Brookfield, participated in a trade mission with several banks and the governor of the Bank of Canada along with Champagne. Cheng on the Brookfield website Cheng tows the Brookfield highly lucrative party line when he says:

  “There are significant decarbonization trends in China driven by the private and public sectors as well as the regulatory environment that remains highly supportive of long-term energy transition.”

  The trip focused on “financial services” and Canadian “pensions.” Cheng who is headquartered in China, is listed among the participants in the mission alongside the other financial executives. participated in a Canadian trade mission with Champagne for a meeting with Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials on Friday.

• January 2025: China Life Insurance Interest in Brookfield’s Proposed China Green/Renewables Fund. Reported as a potential anchor investor commitment. Not a finalized, closed deal in public sources.

• Nov. 2025: Brookfield Targeting $2 Billion (USD) Continuation Vehicle for China Renewables Portfolio In talks to raise the fund (target ~USD $2 billion equivalent, RMB-denominated) to roll over existing ~3 GW of operational wind and solar assets. Interest from Chinese LPs including state-backed insurers (e.g., China Life mentioned as potential participant). Not confirmed as closed/finalized in available reports.

• Aug. 14, 2025: David Levi, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield’s Global Client Group, Meeting with Vice Commerce Minister Ling Ji High-level meeting; the minister welcomed Brookfield to establish renewable energy funds and make long-term investments in China (an invitation rather than a binding agreement).

• March 23, 2025: Bruce Flatt, CEO, Meeting with Vice Premier He Lifeng (). Bilateral meeting during the China Development Forum period. Discussions on economic cooperation and foreign investment encouragement. No specific Brookfield deal announced or signed.

2. Norway Trade and Security Mission: March 13–15, 2026

• Conflict Analysis High Mission focused on clean energy/security; Brookfield’s new Norwegian-linked renewable platform and Westinghouse nuclear decommissioning work overlap with Carney’s energy goals

• Norway’s sovereign wealth fund invested in Brookfield: Over $1.925 billion to Brookfield’s energy transition fund in 2025.

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

On March 13–15, 2026, Carney visited Bardufoss and Oslo, Norway, to observe the NATO Cold Response exercise and meet with Norwegian leaders, including bilateral meetings with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on Arctic security, clean energy, critical minerals, trade, and defence cooperation. The trip also included participation in a Nordic-Canadian summit and meetings with other Nordic leaders, reinforcing collective defence and economic ties in the region.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: NORWAY

Ongoing Westinghouse involvement in Norwegian nuclear projects decommissioning contracts awarded in 2022 with extensions into later years – including the decommissioning Norway’s research reactors at Halden and Kjeller, leveraging its global expertise in reactor dismantling and waste management. This positions Brookfield-linked technology in Norway’s nuclear sector discussions, aligning with broader energy and security themes during Carney’s visit.

Brookfield’s reported ties to Norway during this period involve two major partnership announcements with Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM, manager of Norway’s sovereign wealth fund). These were handled via joint press releases (with datelines from Victoria, BC; Oslo; and New York) and did not reference executive travel, site visits, or in-person meetings in Norway. Details below focus only on announced or completed deals covered in articles:

• March 3, 2026: “BCI, Norges Bank Investment Management and Brookfield Partner to Launch Northview Energy” a new privately held renewable energy platform launching a seed portfolio up to $1.5 billion in additional equity available under a framework agreement for future acquisitions. Ownership is equal (one-third each). Brookfield’s executive was Jehangir Vevaina (chief investment officer, Renewable Power & Transition group), who highlighted the scalable platform for de-risked, cash-yielding assets — no visit or travel details were included.

• Sept. 26, 2025: “Norway wealth fund to invest $1.5 billion in Brookfield energy transition fund II”. This was NBIM’s first investment in such a Brookfield-managed vehicle, targeting renewables and low-carbon projects across multiple regions (including North America). It was a capital commitment to support Brookfield’s broader renewable strategy.

3. Japan Trade Mission: March 6–7, 2026

• Conflict Analysis High Mission advanced energy/infrastructure; Brookfield’s rapid Japan real-estate/logistics push (offices, data centres) directly aligns with supply-chain and LNG themes

This actually builds on Brookfield’s established operations in the region.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: JAPAN

Brookfield expanded its real estate presence in Japan throughout 2025 under Asia- Pacific (APAC) leadership. The Japan deals closed/announced days after Carney’s January 2025 departure from Brookfield. Canadian ethics rules required blind trusts, recusal screens, and firewalls on any Brookfield-related matters once Carney entered politics. However, the rapid scale-up (followed by public comments from Burych about a “strong pipeline” into 2025) creates a perception that Brookfield may have accelerated international activity during/after Carney’s leadership transition. Deals are continuing to close in close proximity to Carney’s visit.

2025 Brookfield’s Ankur Gupta, Head of APAC & Middle East Real Estate) – drove real estate growth with over $1.5B AUM added and a $10B target in Japan, focused on logistics, infrastructure, and energy-related assets. This expansion aligned with strategic talks on energy, supply chains, and LNG.

• March 14, 2026 — Westinghouse Electric is majority-owned (~51%) by Brookfield through its Global Transition Fund, which Mark Carney co-led while at Brookfield. Westinghouse is pursuing up to $100 billion in reactor projects involving Japan often tied to U.S.-Japan nuclear cooperation deals. “Sources told us [Energy News] this month that Japan and the U.S. were working together to include a nuclear project as part of a second tranche of deals in Japan's $550 billion investment package. The deal will involve Westinghouse.”

• Feb. 12, 2026 – Tokyo Acquisition Announcement, Deal value approximately ¥300 billion (~€1.64 billion / US$1.8 billion range). Ankur Gupta, head of Asia Pacific & Middle East Real Estate and Deputy Real Estate Chief Investment Officer. Agreement announced to acquire 100% ownership of the landmark office tower from a Japanese investor consortium.

• Sept. 2025 – Comments by Ankur Gupta, on tripling APAC real estate AUM over five years, with Japan as a key growth driver (from near-zero to >$1.5B AUM in 12 months). Broader APAC Expansion Commentary.

• July 2025 – Bruce Flatt, then CEO of Brookfield Asset Management committed over $10 billion in Japanese real estate over the next five years, targeting logistics, infrastructure, energy-related assets, hospitality, offices, and data centers. A forward-looking target building on the January 2025 closings and earlier Meguro Gajoen acquisition.

• Jan. 27, 2025 – Deal Closing Announcement Tokyo by Ankur Gupta, Managing Partner and Deputy Real Estate Chief Investment Officer. Two major Japan real estate investments totaling $1.6 billion. These included a strategic stake in the landmark Hotel Gajoen and a large plot in Greater Nagoya for logistics warehouse development.

4. Australia Trade Mission: March 3–6, 2026

• Conflict Analysis High Mission promoted pension capital into renewables; Brookfield’s Neoen solar/battery assets and storage deal benefit from Canadian-Australian green investment flow

• Sovereign wealth fund invested in Brookfield: committed $1 billion to a Brookfield real estate/distressed debt fund.

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagement:

On March 3–6, 2026, Carney visited Sydney and Canberra, elevating ties in critical minerals, defence, AI, and green energy set to boost business in renewables, hydrogen, grid upgrades, which Brookfield is invested in both in Australia and Canada.

In Sydney, Carney announced the Canadian Australian Pension Funds Investment Initiative (CAP Invest Initiative) MOU, which facilitates collaboration between Canadian pension funds and Australian super funds.

Bloomberg reported:

“More than a dozen Canadian and Australian pension giants have signed a first-of-its-kind agreement to ramp up investment between the countries, home to two of the world’s largest retirement systems.

“Signatories include AustralianSuper, which manages $410 billion (AUD) and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, with $781 billion in assets, along with eight other major Canadian funds.

“Canada operates the world’s second-largest pension system, while Australia’s $4.5 trillion (AUD) pool is No. 4, according to the statement. Canada’s system is forecast to hit $8 trillion while Australia’s is projected to swell to A$11 trillion by 2040.”

IFM Investors release said:

Australian industry super funds join forces with Canadian counterparts to deliver for members

As part of the landmark initiative, Australian and Canadian pension funds will cooperate to unlock greater pension capital investment in both countries.

The initiative was launched today by leaders of Australian and Canadian pension funds and aligned investment managers in the presence of the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, the Canadian Minister of Finance and National Revenue, François-Philippe Champagne, and the Hon Dr Daniel Mulino MP, Assistant Treasurer of Australia.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: AUSTRALIA

Brookfield has built a deep footprint in Australia through platforms in infrastructure (utilities, transport, data), energy transition, and real estate/logistics.

Nov. 26, 2025 – Binding Agreement for National Storage reached in December 2025 for approximately A $4 billion (one of Australia’s largest real-estate privatizations). Ankur Gupta, Head of Asia Pacific & Middle East Real Estate, acquired Australia’s largest self-storage operator (National Storage REIT). The deal included energy-transition elements where self-storage sites were being evaluated for solar + battery integration.

• May 27, 2025 – Strategy Announcement on Accelerating Neoen Projects in Australia

• March 19, 2025 – in March 2025; Connor Teskey, president of Brookfield Asset Management and head of Renewable Power & Transition oversaw €6.1 billion acquisition of Neoen (one of Australia’s largest renewable developers). This gave Brookfield control of Neoen’s Australian portfolio, including operational assets such as the Western Downs Green Power Hub (solar + battery) and Collie Battery, plus a large development pipeline.

COAL: Brookfield also held significant coal assets in Australia that include Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal — $955 million which it completely sold in 2025, while Carney was becoming Canada’s Prime Minister.

5. India Trade Mission: Feb. 27–March 2, 2026

• Conflict Analysis High Mission showcased pensions + nuclear; Brookfield/Cameco Westinghouse ownership and green hydrogen/data-centre deals gain from bilateral nuclear & infrastructure push

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagement:

On March 2, 2026, during Carney’s visit to India, a $2.6 billion uranium supply agreement with Cameco, a Saskatchewan based company, and India’s Department of Atomic Energy.

Brookfield holds a controlling 51% ownership interest in Westinghouse Electric Company with Cameco owning the remaining 49%, a structure in place since November 2023. Cameco and Brookfield are partnered in many similar deals, including Ukraine. So, essentially Carney was in India announcing a deal for his partners that will definitely benefit his own stock portfolio held in blind trust that is managed by his chief of staff.

On the same day, Carney highlighted $100 billion already invested by Canadian pension funds in India from their $2 trillion capital base, noting their status as some of the largest foreign investors with significant growth potential in infrastructure. Carney emphasized the scale of Canadian pension capital and existing investments during joint remarks with Prime Minister Modi.

This major green energy news preceded the Carney trip, with energy/nuclear alignment during the visit (including the $2.6 billion uranium deal with Cameco and pension fund highlights of $100 billion already invested in India from the $2 trillion capital base).

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: INDIA

Brookfield is one of the largest foreign investors in India, with a diversified portfolio well beyond these two announcements. Its overall goal is to scale significantly from the current ~$30+ billion base.

In India, the trade mission to India and Brookfield recently focused on nuclear energy.

March 2, 2026: Cameco, which is a partner with Brookfield in the ownership of Westinghouse that sells and manages nuclear reactors internationally, announced a $2.6 billion deal with India where the Cameco will supply to India nearly 22 million pounds of uranium ore between 2027 and 2035.

The deal was Cameco’s but Carney tied it to a broader Canada-India Strategic Energy Partnership. While this is a Cameco deal, at the same time Brookfield gains because a stronger Cameco as fuel supplier in India, makes Westinghouse, their joint reactor partnership, more competitive in India’s growing nuclear market, increasing the overall value and opportunities for their jointly owned business.

• Nov. 14–15, 2025: $12 billion Andhra Pradesh green energy MoU announced at CII Summit. Jan. 21, 2026: Reaffirmation at Davos. December 2025, Connor Teskey, President, Brookfield Asset Management– announced $12 billion investment commitment in green energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, including renewables, green hydrogen, and a clean energy-powered data center.

  

• Nov. 4, 2025, Brookfield $1.5 billion crore India Real Estate Trust (BIRET) – EcoWorld Acquisition (announced November 2025). India’s only 100% institutionally managed office REIT. BIRET (Brookfield’s listed office REIT in India) signed a deal to acquire the EcoWorld 7.7 million sq ft Grade-A office campus in Bengaluru.

• Sept. 22–25, 2025: Brookfield-GIC $1 billion office partnership pan-India office partnership. A source told an Indian publication: “⁠Brookfield has contributed its 100 per cent owned asset Equinox to seed this alliance while GIC has brought in their 100 per cent owned assets, Bengaluru’s Bhartiya City and Hyderabad’s Aquila. The Canadian investor will manage these investments and the properties going forward.”

6. Qatar Trade Mission: January 17–18, 2026

• Conflict Analysis High Mission emphasized AI/energy investment; Brookfield’s $20B Qatar AI data-centre JV directly overlaps with pension/infrastructure goals

• Sovereign wealth fund invested in Brookfield. $20 billion invested including emerging markets transition funds.

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

Carney travelled to Doha, Qatar, he met with the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to forge a new Canada-Qatar Strategic Partnership focused on increasing two-way trade, investment, infrastructure development, defence and security cooperation and collaboration in emerging technologies.

There were commitments to conclude a Canada-Qatar Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) by summer 2026, accelerate co-investments in artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, energy, agriculture, and agri-food, expand air services, and explore a double-taxation agreement.

Qatar also signaled interest in making significant strategic investments in Canadian nation-building projects, including infrastructure and energy. The visit built on a preparatory trade mission led by Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu earlier in January 2026.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: QATAR

In Qatar, the timing for Brookfield activities included the launch of a $100 billion global AI infrastructure program on Nov. 19, 2025, followed by a $20 billion AI partnership tied to the Qatari sovereign wealth fund entity and broader historical ties to the Qatar Investment Authority on Dec. 9, 2025.

The conflict and overlap of activities were very strong when Carney led a Canadian trade mission arriving Jan. 17 and 18, 2026, he arrived in Doha to deepen cooperation in AI, energy, and investment — the same sectors.

The gap between Brookfield’s Qatar deal and Carney’s arrival was just over one month.

• Dec. 9, 2025 — Bruce Flatt (CEO, Brookfield Corporation) publicly led and commented on the announcement.
  Brookfield and Qai (Qatar Investment Authority subsidiary) announced a $20 billion strategic joint venture for AI infrastructure development in Qatar and select international markets. The JV will build integrated compute centers and AI facilities, with Brookfield investing through its Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund. Bruce Flatt stated it was Brookfield’s “inaugural AI infrastructure investment in the Middle East” and highlighted the combination of Qatar’s strategic vision with Brookfield’s global expertise in mission-critical infrastructure.

Bruce Flatt (CEO, Brookfield Corporation) met with the Governor of Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, along with an accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed global finance and investment developments (this preceded the major AI JV announcement).

• Oct. 21, 2025 – Doha, Qatar, Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management (at the time; later transitioned to Chair) met with the Governor of the Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), HE Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani. Built on Brookfield’s long-standing relationship with QIA and preceded the major AI infrastructure partnership.

• Dec. 9, 2025 – Announced in New York and Doha (virtual or coordinated announcement), Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management, $20 billion strategic partnership and joint venture was formally announced and launched on December 9, 2025. It represents Brookfield’s inaugural AI infrastructure investment in the Middle East and leverages the firm’s long-standing ties with QIA (including prior investments in Brookfield Property Partners dating back to 2014).

• March 2026 - New CEO Connor Teskey publicly reaffirmed Brookfield’s commitment to the $20 billion Qatar AI joint venture in media interviews (e.g., Bloomberg Television), stating that regional tensions (including the Iran conflict) would not impact the project. He described the Middle East as an “incredible” region for long-term investment. This was a general statement, not tied to a physical visit to Qatar or a new deal.

7. France Trade Mission (multiple visits, including Jan. 5–6, 2026 and March 16–18, 2025)

• Conflict Analysis Moderate–High Mission focused on AI & clean tech; Brookfield’s €20 billion French AI initiative and Neoen renewables (including French assets) align with Carney’s ecological transition talks

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

From March 16–18, 2025, Carney made his first official overseas trip as prime minister, visiting Paris, France (along with London, UK, and later Iqaluit, Nunavut). In Paris, he held bilateral meetings with President Emmanuel Macron, focusing on strengthening economic, commercial, and defence ties. Discussions centered on building upon the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), promoting fair trade, advancing cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), ecological transition, new technologies, intelligence, security, and support for Ukraine. The visit was framed as reinforcing ties with reliable allies amid global trade tensions.

A second notable visit occurred on Jan. 5–6, 2026, when Prime Minister Carney travelled to Paris to participate in meetings of the Coalition of the Willing on peace negotiations and security guarantees for Ukraine. This included engagements with other leaders, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, with discussions on accelerating a negotiated peace for Ukraine supported by strong security guarantees, while also addressing broader transatlantic security and stability.

These visits reinforced long-standing Canada-France and Canada-EU partnerships, including a later Canada-EU Security and Defence Partnership and efforts toward deeper economic and defence cooperation.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: FRANCE

On May 30, 2024, entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a controlling stake in Neoen, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy developers.

On December 3, 2024, it publicly committed to expanding investment in France.

Jan. 31, 2025 — Bruce Flatt (CEO, Brookfield Asset Management) reportedly was also in Paris to directly to work on the deal with French President Emmanuel Macron which will invest 20 billion euros ($21 billion) by 2030 from Brookfield to help build data centers crucial to artificial intelligence development in France, a source close to the deal told AFP on Saturday.

Then on Feb. 10, 2025, while Carney was running for the Liberal leadership Brookfield and the French government unveiled a €20 billion AI and data center initiative.

Macron said in the joint Brookfield/ France news release:

“The €20 billion investment by Brookfield notably through Data4 will allow France to remain in the race alongside major AI players. This investment demonstrates France’s attractiveness. We have the knowledge, the talents, and the decarbonized energy needed to accelerate in AI. We must not slow down, the world is accelerating. This is a battle for independence.”

March 19, 2025 Brookfield Renewable Holdings bought Neoen, a big French company that builds and operates renewable energy projects like solar farms, wind turbines, and battery storage.

Less than a year later, Carney was in Paris on Jan. 5–6, 2026, meeting at the highest levels on energy and investment — again the same sectors and the same country.

In addition to this, Brookfield Asset Management (through its prior leadership involvement by Carney and ownership stakes) has significant exposure to the global nuclear sector via its controlling interest in Westinghouse Electric Company (acquired in partnership with Cameco). Westinghouse provides nuclear technology, reactors, and services worldwide, including advanced reactor designs and fuel solutions. While no direct, high-profile Westinghouse decommissioning or operational contracts in France (which relies heavily on its own state-owned nuclear fleet operated by EDF) are prominently tied to these specific visits, broader Canada-France discussions on clean energy transition, ecological projects, and new technologies align with nuclear as a low-carbon energy source. Brookfield-linked nuclear expertise could indirectly relate to any future bilateral or EU-level clean tech/energy cooperation, especially as Canada promotes its nuclear capabilities (e.g., CANDU and Westinghouse technologies) in international forums.

France maintains one of the world’s largest nuclear power programs, with ongoing needs in reactor maintenance, modernization, small modular reactors (SMRs), and potential international partnerships for export or technology collaboration. Brookfield’s stake in Westinghouse creates indirect exposure for Canadian interests in any expanded Canada-France or Canada-EU cooperation on clean energy, critical minerals supply chains for nuclear, or defence-related technologies. Carney’s past role at Brookfield and public promotion of nuclear (including Westinghouse) during leadership debates have raised questions about potential conflicts in energy policy discussions, though he has stated he would recuse himself from direct conflicts. Any deepening of bilateral clean tech or defence ties could intersect with these corporate links, particularly in the context of diversifying away from U.S. dependency and advancing transatlantic energy security.

8. Ukraine Reconstruction and Aid Mission: Dec. 27, 2025 and Aug. 24, 2025(with cumulative commitments exceeding $25.5 billion)

• Conflict Analysis Very High Mission funded energy stabilization; Brookfield’s 51% Westinghouse stake in multiple Ukrainian nuclear plants benefits from reconstruction and aid commitments

• In a breaking story on May 3, 2026, the Kyiv Independent explained how Ukraine’s largest corruption investigation under Zelenskyy — involving a $100 million kickback scheme (codenamed “Operation Midas”) — is one step closer to directly connecting to Zelenskyy. Very interesting to note is that Energoatom, the Ukraine state nuclear monopoly which the kickbacks are related to, now under the corruption investigation, has extensive, long-standing partnerships with Westinghouse which is majority-owned by Brookfield 51% (majority/controlling interest) and Cameco: 49%. Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

By February 2026 (the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion), Canada’s total military and aid to Ukraine exceeded $25.8 billion including $8.5 billion in military assistance.

There are two huge areas of conflict of interest for Carney and Ukraine that includes Brookfield reconstruction contracts and Brookfield nuclear reactors that keep the Canadian taxpayer money flowing to Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

THE LATEST CANADIAN FUNDING TO UKRAINE

More money was announced for Ukraine on:

• May 4, 2026 $270 million

• April 3, 2026 over $51 million

• PLUS, April 24, 2026 $ 8 million to continue to fix up Chornobyl

The Prime Minister’s Office in August 2025 and also in Armenia May 2026 that Canada is “the largest per capita financial contributor among G7 countries.” This is being noted as a patriotic point of pride — how much money Canada is giving to Ukraine with no checks or balances, or audits of where the money is going.

The decision to fund more money to Ukraine is likely due to Carney participating in the European summit and also that the United States as of May 2026 has now excluded Ukraine in its military aid budget, probably because it cannot realistically afford to wage war against Iran and continue to prop up the corrupt regime in Kyiv. There is nothing left for Ukraine.

• New Trump 2027 Budget Proposal Excludes Ukraine Military Aid (May 1, 2026)

If you look at the timing of this Canada seems to be giving Ukraine now roughly either biennial or perhaps speeding this up to quarterly payments of over $2 billion per period:

• February 2026 over $2 billion

• December 2026 $2.5 billion

• August 2025 $2 billion

As you will note, the Ukraine Canadian risk of conflict is flagged as being very high due to close timing between major Brookfield business moves and Carney’s diplomatic engagements or aid announcements with matching sectors—nuclear/energy reconstruction.

By April/May 2026 Canada’s total military and aid to Ukraine have exceeded $25.8 billion since 2022.

Since Mark Carney became Prime Minister, he met with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy several times to give him money:

• May 4, 2026 8th (Meeting in European Political Community Summit in Armenia May 3 to 4, 2026 where he provided $270M more funding to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukraine.)

  • Other money that did not receive much fanfare include April 3 over $51 million to Ukraine and $8 million to continue to fix up Chornobyl April 24, 2026.

• Dec. 27, 2025 (Meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia): Amount announced: $2.5 billion in aid and military equipment during Zelenskyy’s visit to Halifax. Carney announcement included loan guarantees to the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, IMF financing facilitation, and debt suspension measures—explicitly tied to reconstruction and energy stabilization.

• Aug. 24, 2025 (Meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian Independence Day): Amount announced: $2 billion CAD in military assistance while Carney was in Kyiv committing Canada to continued military, technical and reconstruction support under the 2024 security agreement.

This aid model mirrors U.S. efforts to mobilize private capital (including through blended finance and guarantees) for a projected $400 billion+ reconstruction effort focused on energy, infrastructure, and economic stabilization. Brookfield is a major beneficiary for both nuclear plants already constructed in Ukraine and for reconstruction efforts, which we will show you later in this section.

Canada has also put into place a 35% tariff on virtually all Russian goods, including nitrogen fertilizers and later expanded full import prohibitions (as of mid-2025) on fertilizers and related goods. No commercial shipments have occurred since mid-2022 in spite of Canada being the only G7 nation that is penalizing its own farmers with this tariff." This is a sanction that impacts Canadian farmers who buy Russian fertilizer, making fertilizer more expensive for Canadian farmers.

In contrast, the United States chose to NOT sanction fertilizer from Russian during an ongoing food crisis. Canada even ignored the United Nations not to impose barriers on the fertilizer trade when the global food supply is threatened — in this case by the war in the Middle East.

And even though many reports are predicting “The coming global food crisis” due to 20% of the fertilizer stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, this Canadian or “Ukraine First” policy preventing the free flow of much needed fertilizer still stands in Canada to this day.

Some, such as Mario Nawfal who posted on X that this sort of past and current policy environment in Canada goes beyond “standard sanctions” and should be called out as “Ukraine First” not Canada first.

Nawful explains:

“Now that Freeland has officially resigned her seat, she literally works directly for Kyiv. The "Freeland Doctrine" looks less like an alliance strategy and more like a plan to put a foreign agenda above North American economic security, causing instability in energy markets and rare earths supply chains in Eastern Europe and the CIS that everyday Americans are paying for.

”She was the one who advanced the high-stakes freezing of Russia’s central bank assets, a move that ignored traditional caution and reshaped the global financial system overnight. On a micro level, she wantonly imposed sanctions on American companies for sheer involvement in Russia decades ago, all likely under the direction of Ukraine.”

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: UKRAINE

But the crux of today’s Canada’s “Ukraine First” policy with obscene amounts of money referenced above still being sent to Ukraine, even though Freeland is no longer officially in Canadian government, can now be tracked back to Mark Carney’s stock portfolio within his so called “blind trust.” Brookfield is the majority shareholder in many nuclear reactors in Ukraine. Brookfield and Cameco own Westinghouse where one or more of its nuclear plants may fall within the Russian occupied section of Ukraine. If Ukraine stops fighting Brookfield and Carney lose control of the future ownership of that nuclear energy plant to Russia. A summary of Brookfield activities and Carney conflicts are as follows:

On July 10, 2025, at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2025) in Rome, Italy, three senior Westinghouse executives attended and participated in key agreements with Ukraine’s state nuclear company Energoatom: Dan Lipman — Westinghouse President; Aziz Dag — Westinghouse Senior Vice President; and Katie Strangis — Westinghouse representative. This nuclear infrastructure work that Brookfield is involved in directly aligns with Carney’s aid announcements focused on energy stabilization and reconstruction.

There are two huge areas of conflict of interest for Carney and Ukraine, both involve Brookfield.

1) On Apr. 30, 2025, the United States and Ukraine formalized an agreement to rebuild Ukraine’s war-torn economy through a U.S.–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. On this list Brookfield is listed as number 3 BFG Wealth Management so Brookfield will be significantly benefitting when the war comes to an end. Carney is actually invested in seven out of the nine companies that will benefit from the Ukraine construction including: BlackRock funding Inc.-related, JP Morgan Chase, Brookfield, Citigroup, Aon, Honeywell, and GE-related entities. The only companies on this list that Carney is NOT invested in are ArcelorMittal and Vestas Wind Systems.

These facts that are in evidence and publicly declared, do indicate that Carney is taking war profiteering in Ukraine to a whole new level.

2) However, Brookfield/ Westinghouse supplies and provides the technology for a significant number of nuclear reactors already built in Ukraine before the reconstruction even begins. Ukraine’s nuclear fuel supply and technology is tied to Westinghouse contracts while Energoatom, the Ukraine state nuclear monopoly owns the nuclear plants themselves.

According to the World Nuclear News, “Ukraine has 15 operable reactors including the six at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which has been under Russian military control since early March 2022.”

These three plants Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and South Ukraine continue to generate a large portion of Ukraine’s electricity often 50–60% of the country’s supply. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southeastern Ukraine, that is under Russian control, has been shut down since 2022.

Analysis shows that Brookfield is seeking energy dominance in Ukraine in several ways by securing fuel supply contracts, leading new reactor construction projects, and leveraging geopolitical reconstruction support. The nuclear reactors give Brookfield a strategic edge in Ukraine.

Brookfield holds a controlling 51% ownership interest in Westinghouse Electric Company with Cameco owning the remaining 49%, a structure in place since November 2023. Several of these nuclear reactors are in the Ukraine — Russia borderlands and they are currently either in the Russian controlled regions or extremely close to the Russian controlled areas. If the borders remain based on Russian controlled territory it means the Brookfield/Cameco/Westinghouse loses the future contracts for at least one, perhaps more, nuclear reactor(s). So, is this a key motivating factor for Carney to continue to use our taxes to fund the Ukraine war?

It’s definitely another conflict.

9. Sweden Royal State Visit to Canada: Nov. 18–20, 2025

• Conflict Analysis High Mission highlighted nuclear cooperation; Brookfield/Cameco-owned Swedish fuel facility supplies Ukraine/Europe reactors, tying directly to Carney’s energy-security agenda

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagement:

This visit, hosted by Governor General Mary Simon (with Chief Justice Richard Wagner acting as deputy due to health issues), was the third Swedish state visit to Canada and featured the largest-ever Swedish business delegation (“Team Sweden,” approximately 30 companies, agencies, and organizations). It focused on strengthening bilateral relations through the new Canada–Sweden Strategic Partnership, with emphasis on defence and security cooperation (both NATO allies), innovation, trade, investment, electrification, advanced technology, AI, and clean energy. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia led the delegation, participating in official ceremonies, meetings with Canadian leaders, innovation events (including Sweden–Canada Innovation Days), cultural activities, site visits (e.g., Ericsson’s Ottawa R&D labs and Bombardier facilities), and a state dinner. Key Swedish government representatives included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Business and Industry Ebba Busch, and Minister for Defence Pål Jonson.

Carney was actively involved on Nov. 18, 2025, the first full day: he welcomed Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia in Ottawa, met with the king and queen along with Ebba Busch for a bilateral meeting after lunch, and participated in discussions that included the signing of the Canada–Sweden Strategic Partnership. He also engaged with the Swedish business delegation. Later that same day (Nov. 18), Carney departed for the United Arab Emirates to begin his bilateral visit.

Events on Nov. 18 included joint appearances with Canadian officials such as Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand, Ebba Busch, Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden, and Minister for Energy, Business and Industry highlighted how Sweden uses Brookfield subsidiary — Westinghouse — for nuclear energy.

She stated:

“…actually Westinghouse nuclear fuel facility in Sweden in the city of Västerås, now owned jointly by the Canadian companies Brookfield and Cameco. Today, this plant supplies fuel to every former Soviet reactor in Europe and in Ukraine. Together, we are strengthening Europe’s energy security …”

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: SWEDEN

Brookfield, jointly with Cameco, owns the Westinghouse nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Västerås, Sweden. This plant supplies nuclear fuel to former Soviet reactors across Europe and Ukraine, directly linking Canadian corporate interests to Sweden’s nuclear capabilities and broader Europe as this facility plays a key role in supplying fuel for reactors in Europe and Ukraine.

10. United Arab Emirates Trade Mission: Nov. 18–24, 2025

• Conflict Analysis Very High Mission promoted pension capital into UAE energy/infrastructure; Brookfield’s $1B JV and high-level Crown Prince meeting occurred days before Carney’s visit

On November 21, Carney announced that Canada’s pension funds—with $2 trillion in capital—would send a delegation to the UAE early the following year to deepen existing partnerships and develop new investment opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and AI.

The Brookfield delegation discussed potential strategic partnerships in digital transformation, clean energy, infrastructure, and asset management.

Mark Carney’s trade mission, from Nov. 18-24, occurred only one week after Brookfield meeting with the UAE President where Carney also met President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the same people about the same sectors, promoting $2 trillion in Canadian public pensions as “capital.”

11. Singapore Trade Mission: October 28–29, 2025

• Dec. 15, 2025: Andrew Burych (Managing Partner and Head of East Asia Real Estate) publicly commented on the transaction as Brookfield agreed to acquire a portfolio of eight logistics and industrial properties from ESR-REIT for $262 million (USD). 12. Malaysia (ASEAN) Trade Mission: Oct. 25–28, 2025

The gap between the Brookfield announcement and Carney’s meeting was only a month.

13. South Korea Trade Mission: Oct. 24–Nov. 1, 2025

The trip occurred amid concerns over potential U.S. tariffs and aimed to position Canada as a reliable partner in North America.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025-2026: MEXICO

• Neoen (via Brookfield Renewable): This remains the primary and only active major holding in Mexican renewables. The French-headquartered company’s key Mexican asset is the El Llano solar plant (375 MWp, one of the world’s most competitive large-scale solar facilities at the time). Brookfield gained near-full control of Neoen in early 2025 (deal closed after regulatory approvals, including in Mexico), and operates it as a standalone portfolio company. No new Mexican solar, wind, or storage projects under Neoen were announced or completed in 2025–early 2026.

This is why Brookfield’s Mexico exposure in clean technology/renewables is referenced through Neoen — even though Neoen itself remains a Paris-headquartered French entity.

Clarification on Neoen and the El Llano Solar Plant

• Neoen is a French company, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Paris, France. It develops, finances, builds, and operates renewable energy projects (primarily solar, wind, and battery storage) across multiple continents.

• The El Llano solar plant (375 MWp) is one of Neoen’s flagship assets and is physically located in Aguascalientes, Mexico (specifically, about 20 km east of the city of Aguascalientes in central Mexico). It covers roughly 800 hectares and was one of the most competitively priced large-scale solar projects in the world when developed. It is not in France.

Neoen does have major solar projects in France as well — most notably the Cestas solar farm (300 MWp), which was Europe’s most powerful solar plant at the time of commissioning and remains a key French asset.

Los Ramones natural gas pipelines: Brookfield Infrastructure Partners fully exited its stakes (Ramones II Norte and Sur) in January 2025 through a sale to Macquarie Asset Management and partners (≈US$500 million for Brookfield’s portion). Carney’s longstanding professional and financial ties to Brookfield (including past compensation in stock/options) are managed through an ethics screen and recusal framework.

However, high-level diplomatic efforts to expand trade and investment in these exact areas create clear perception risks that government advocacy could indirectly enhance the value or positioning of Brookfield-linked assets. No evidence of direct improper benefit from this specific mission has been reported, but the thematic overlap contributes to ongoing broader scrutiny of Carney’s Brookfield connections in energy and infrastructure diplomacy.

Conclusion

Are Carney’s trade missions and activities that overlap with Brookfield coincidences or are they a pay for play scheme taking place right before our eyes?

Canada has never had a transnational globalist banker for a prime minister with these sorts of investments: over 630 conflicts and 103 direct conflicts. It is unreal and surreal at the same time.

The timeline is now clear and difficult to dismiss. Across multiple continents and compressed windows, a consistent sequence repeats: Brookfield positions capital or secures strategic assets in key sectors — nuclear fuel, renewables, AI infrastructure, energy transition, and critical minerals — and Canadian government diplomacy under Carney soon follows in the exact same countries and sectors.

From the Westinghouse-controlled nuclear fuel plant in Sweden highlighted during the royal visit, to the major green energy commitments preceding the India mission, the $20 billion AI partnership in Qatar days before Carney’s arrival, the Neoen renewables acquisition overlapping French visits, and the ongoing Westinghouse decommissioning work in Norway coinciding with Carney’s Arctic security trip, the alignments are too frequent and too precise to be mere coincidence.

Carney has repeatedly used these missions to showcase Canada’s $2 trillion pension fund capital as a ready source of outbound investment, signing MOUs and promising delegations that channel public savings into the very markets and projects where Brookfield already holds significant stakes.

While each individual event can be explained as ordinary statecraft or business activity, the cumulative pattern — private capital first, public diplomacy immediately after, often in the same narrow window — raises legitimate and serious concerns about conflicts of interest.

Canadians are left asking the obvious question: when domestic economic conditions continue to deteriorate — with tens of thousands of jobs lost, rising costs, and stalled growth — whose interests are actually being advanced? Is this aggressive global outreach truly serving Canadian workers and taxpayers, or is it facilitating the expansion of a powerful financial network in which the prime minister retains substantial personal and performance-linked financial exposure?

When the same names, the same sectors, and the same timelines keep aligning while ordinary Canadians bear the cost at home, the system appears to be working far better for global capital than for the people it was elected to serve.

This is how the Liberals are hollowing out our Canadian economy into Bermuda offshore accounts that are found in bike shops, like Brookfield, and privatizing profits for their own companies again like Brookfield, while they socialize the risk of losses on us the citizens.

The question is no longer theoretical. It is a matter of public record, public money, and public trust. Canadians deserve straight answers.

Truthfully, with the number of conflicts and stock investments that Carney has in his possession (in his so-called blind trust), which he has refused to sell, it would be difficult for Carney to meet with anyone on a trade mission and NOT have a conflict.

The number of sovereign wealth funds in countries, which have placed their countries’ money, investing it in Brookfield, why are those countries top of the list for Carney’s Canadian trade missions is highly suspicious. Is Carney trying to keep Brookfield clients happy with his trade missions, offering Canadian deals as an inducement, similar to the inducements he has been offering MPs to cross the floor? And for the countries that have not yet invested their sovereign wealth funds in Brookfield, are they collaboratively chasing MORE sovereign wealth funds to invest in Brookfield? Is this why the trips overlap so closely? And why Brookfield had its best quarter to date Feb. 04, 2026.

These will be uncomfortable questions for many Canadians who have put their faith in Carney. But these questions need to be asked and more investigation into Brookfield’s profits needs to be done. Unfortunately, they will not be done by committees, as Carney shuts down democracy.

They will have to be done by citizen journalists and YOU the Canadian citizen!

In one French-language platoon, 83% were non-citizens … Carneyism has failed Canada and the Canadian Forces

Listen, as someone who spent over 12 years as a public affairs officer in the Canadian Air Force, I’ve seen my share of military sausage-making. But this latest story from Juno News? It’s not just a mess — it’s a full-on clown show, and I’m not laughing.

The document, from Lieut.-Col. M.R. Kieley at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruitment School in Saint-Jean, Quebec (yes, that cheerful penitentiary-like complex where recruits live in cell blocks and never see daylight), lays it all out.

It’s titled something bureaucratic like “Initial Observations: Impact of Changes to CAF Recruiting Policies at Basic Training Over 2025.” Translation: We lowered the bar to rock bottom, and now we’re shocked — shocked — that everything’s falling apart.

83% Non-Citizens in Basic Officer Training. What Could Go Wrong?

Picture this: A French-language platoon basic officer qualification course (BOTC in my day) where 83% of the trainees aren’t even Canadian citizens. Fresh off the plane, straight into leadership training. Because nothing says “defend Canada with your life” like someone who just got through customs and still thinks “eh” is a question.

Unsurprisingly, they weren’t exactly bonding over maple syrup and hockey. These recruits, mostly from various West African countries with long-standing grudges, spent more time fighting each other than learning how to fight for Canada. On top of that, there was “lack of respect towards women” — shocker, coming from places where female officers aren’t exactly the norm. In Canada, we have women in command positions, including the current Chief of the Defence Staff.

But apparently, that’s a cultural speed bump too big for some to handle.The report also notes “weak oral interactive abilities” (they don’t speak English or French very well) and older candidates clashing with younger hierarchies. In military speak: This was a disaster. Only 48% passed. And yes, some of those non-citizens still squeaked through. Brilliant.

Mark Carney’s “Stay the Course” is a Masterclass in Denial

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s response? Classic politician: full steam ahead on the same brilliant plan. He bragged about record recruitment numbers (highest in 30 years!) thanks to better pay, hitting 2% of GDP on defence (somewhere, somehow), and building partnerships with Nordic allies.

Translation: “Pay no attention to the cultural friction and bar fights behind the curtain. We’re growing the military!” Where’s the 2% in the Spring Economic Update, by the way? Funny how those detailed estimates mysteriously vanish when it’s time to actually show your work. Economic updates are great for vague cheerleading; budgets and estimates force you to get specific. Carney clearly prefers the former.

History’s Harsh Lessons — That We Are Ignoring

This isn’t new. Ancient Rome tried the same trick: Romans got soft, so they hired foreigners and mercenaries. Guess what? The army stopped being loyal to Rome and eventually turned on the empire. If we can’t learn from 2,000-year-old history, what’s the point of studying it? We can’t surrender control of our military to people who are not appropriately invested in Canada or in being Canadian. How can people with little comprehension of our heritage and democratic values be expected to defend a country they have little affinity with or comprehension of?

Carneyism as applied to national defence is also a boondoggle in waiting. Canada doesn’t have a defence industry capable of outfitting our forces properly. The idea of buying Canadian first really means that the military will not get the equipment it needs for operational effectiveness, but the equipment Carney says they can purchase from his friends. This is corporate cronyism as applied to capital acquisition, a process that is already unwieldy and politically tethered to politicized “industrial regional benefits” but that will only become more cumbersome and less efficacious when the Department of Defence is forced to buy from a politically favored group.

The “Canada Strong” plan — build, partner, buy — sounds great until you remember we couldn’t even build our own fighter jet (hello, cancelled Avro Arrow). Now we’re supposed to magically ramp up to 70% Canadian content while cozying up to Carney’s preferred friends in Europe. This isn’t strategy. It’s crony capitalism dressed up in camouflage.

The USA Was Also Considering Recruitment of Illegals

Under the administration of former President Joe Biden, the United States Department of Defense was also asked to consider recruiting illegals into its ranks. It was never clear just how keen Biden was about the idea but in his declining state it was difficult to know if he was driving any public policy or merely there as a figurehead. But the notion was enthusiastically embraced by the left-wing of the Democratic party and those members of the Biden cabinet who knowingly promoted the corrosive open border policies that saw millions of illegal immigrants’ stream into the United States. Why not enlist them into the armed forces?

The Stars and Stripes documented this in an article entitled Senate bill renews effort to enlist non-citizens in the military:

“Efforts to widen a pathway for non-citizens to join the U.S. military are being reignited with a new Senate bill aimed at easing recruitment troubles in the armed forces.”

Time to Wake UP!

If you’ve read any history of the Russian Revolutions of 1917, you probably understand two things. The Bolsheviks triumphed over Russian society because the vast majority of citizens underestimated just how determined, ruthless and savage they were. Canadians are near a tipping point with Carneyism. Too many of them want to believe that Carney really does want to work for the national good, despite the increasing evidence that he is only concerned with advancing his personal agenda and that of his corporate friends.

Somebody leaked this report because they’re fed up. Good for them. The Canadian Armed Forces shouldn’t be a social experiment or a jobs program for recent arrivals who don’t share our values, language, or loyalty. We need citizens who understand what Canada stands for — and are willing to defend it.Lowering standards to “grow the ranks” isn’t building a stronger military. It’s weakening it from within. And if we keep pretending this is working, we won’t just fail the next real test — we’ll deserve to.

The tip of the iceberg just hit the hull. Time to change course before the whole ship goes down.

When Glenn Beck exploded onto Fox News some 15 or 20 years ago, he was must-see TV for half a year straight. People tuned in the way they once watched car chases on live news—just to see what wild truth he’d drop next. Then the mainstream media shrugged and moved on. Beck didn’t vanish; he built Blaze Media, and today he anchors the network with the calm fury of a man who’s watched too many countries trade liberty for “safety.”

Recently he trained that gaze on Canada, calling what’s left of a once-great democracy “an oligarchy with the trappings of democracy.” As the host of a weekly Blaze Media show (and an occasional writer for the outlet), I sat down to watch. Beck’s segment on Canada losing its freedoms was sharp, but I kept thinking he was starting three steps too late. The real story begins with free speech—because once that’s gone, the rest of the Bill of Rights becomes decorative wallpaper.

We’re literally one Senate vote away from burying it under Bill C-9, Bill C-8, and the Online Harms Act (rebranded, I’d bet my maple-leaf pin, as the cuddly-sounding “Online Safety Act”). Parliament usually packs up the third week of June. Mark my words: the final nail in free speech’s coffin drops before summer recess.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has fulfilled none of the promises he made prior to the last federal election in Apr. 28, save one — his pledge to censor Canadians’ free speech.

The 10 Hallmarks of a Truly Free Nation

Before assessing Beck’s critique of freedom in Canada, let’s lay out what actually keeps a country free. Democracies are rare and historically fragile things. Here are the core pillars—straight from the transcript, with a few Canadian reality-check footnotes:

1. Rule of law, not rule of man — The law applies equally to citizens, leaders, and institutions. No one above it, no one beneath it.

2. Free, fair, and regular elections — Citizens must actually choose their leaders through transparent, competitive votes. Power transfers peacefully. (Note: the old Soviet Union held elections too. One party on the ballot. Very festive.)

3. Protection of individual rights — Some freedoms can never be voted away by majority rule: speech, religion, assembly, due process. This is the real foundation—lose it and everything else collapses. (I’d rank this #1. Canada clearly disagrees.)

4. Separation of powers — Legislature makes laws, executive enforces them, judiciary interprets them. Canada’s “responsible government” fuses the first two together like a bad marriage.

5. Independent judiciary — Courts must rule against the government without fear. Ours now openly brag about being “progressive.”

6. Free press and open information — Media that questions power, not one subsidized by it.

7. Civilian control of the military

8. Protection of minority rights

9. Economic freedom and property rights

10. A culture that values freedom

Beck’s segment walked through these and found Canada coming up short on almost everyone. The polite shrug that accompanies each new restriction is what makes it so chilling.

Accountability? What Accountability?

Beck opened with the jaw-dropping 2021 scandal: a scientist at Canada’s highest-security lab shipped live Ebola to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology and collaborated on bioweapons research with the Chinese military. Parliament ordered the documents four times. Liberals blocked it every single time, sued, stonewalled, and then called a snap election to kill the probe.

As Beck dryly observed, “That’s rule of law being violated and separation of powers being violated.” Three years later the auditor general found nearly $400 million in outright corruption. Parliament shut that down too.

Then Trudeau “resigned.” One-third of one percent of Canadians—the elite Liberal inner circle—handed the Prime Minister’s Office to Mark Carney in a leadership race that smelled like a script. Carney racked up a cartoonish 80 percent in every riding, including Chrystia Freeland’s own backyard. She somehow only managed to attract 20% of Liberal voters on her home turf.

Satirical gold: the party that once preached “sunny ways” now runs on North Korean turnout numbers and zero raised eyebrows.

Elections, Emergencies, and the Slow-Motion Coup

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) confirmed Chinese interference in the 2019 and 2021 elections. Trudeau was briefed. Nothing happened. One Liberal MP openly urged supporters to collect a Chinese Communist Party bounty on a Conservative candidate. No charges. Five MPs flipped to the Liberals in five convenient months, handing them a two-seat majority. Meanwhile the House of Commons simply stopped sitting for eight months—Canada governed by executive decree.

Beck asked what is really operating in Canada: “Democracy by design or democracy by manipulation?”

Then came the 2022 Freedom Convoy. Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, froze bank accounts of protesters and their supporters, and treated peaceful assembly like a national security threat. Two federal courts, including the Court of Appeal, ruled it unlawful and a Charter violation. The government is still appealing to the Supreme Court—because in Canada, judicial rulings are apparently suggestions.

Layer on the censorship bills: C-18 (Online News Act) that forced Google and Meta to pay for links (Meta just blocked news entirely); C-11 (Online Streaming Act) that put Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify under DEI and Canadian-content mandates; and the coming C-8, C-9, and Online Harms/Safety Act that will turn Scripture into hate literature. Beck didn’t need to raise his voice.

The facts did it for him.

Property Rights? Optional. MAiD? Canada’s Growth Industry

Property rights have been quietly torched too. In British Columbia, Aboriginal title claims have turfed homeowners. Ontario’s Bill 212 lets the province bulldoze highways and override municipal bylaws. In Waterloo, the government used secret NDAs and expropriation threats to snatch 770 acres of prime farmland. New Brunswick merged municipalities and jacked rural taxes 50–60 percent. Rural British Columbia now requires government permission to sell eggs or give riding lessons—or face $50,000-a-day fines.

Because of something called “aboriginal title,” imposed when the provincial government embraced the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) property rights have vanished in BC. Native chiefs — who are the only real winners in this land grab — are claiming huge swaths of the province because their ancestors might have claimed it or occupied it at some time in the past. This is literally no different than the race-based land laws of Nazi Germany, where people of “Aryan” descent could remove Jewish people from their homes and apartments because Jews weren’t considered citizens. But no matter what the racial yardstick at use, having unique rights or special status based on your ethnicity is blatantly racist and a flagrant violation of equality under the law — a concept that used to define Canada and all democratic countries.

And ask Katie Pasitney and Karen Espersen of Universal Ostrich Farms whether farmers really own their land or have any protection from the ravenous Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and its vicious “stamping out” policy. The CFIA invaded and occupied their farm and then massacred hundreds of ostriches because it merely suspected the birds of having H5N1 avian influenza. The government bureaucrats refused to test the birds and threatened anyone else who did with a $500,000 fine and six months in jail.

And then there’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Legalized in 2016 for terminal cases, the safeguards were dropped in 2021. In 2024 alone, 22,535 Canadians asked for it; 16,499 received it. That’s 5.1% of all deaths. From 2016 to 2024, over 76,000 killed by their own government’s healthcare system—now the fourth leading cause of death in adults. Doctors are offering MAiD for back pain and mental health.

As Beck’s segment implied with grim precision, when the state controls your healthcare and offers death as the fix for its own waitlists, you’re no longer a citizen. You’re a cost center.

The Cage Is Already Built

Beck closed with the line that still echoes: “The slide is gradual. The language is polite. The slogans might even make people feel good—until one day you realize the cage was built around you. You’re free to walk around … but not out.”

Canada still has the maple-leaf flag, the Parliament buildings, and the elections. The forms remain. The substance has been replaced by a managed oligarchy with democratic trappings. Power is consolidated. Dissent is “managed.” The individual now exists to serve the state.

Beck turned to the camera and spoke directly to Americans: “Look how far Canada has fallen. Now recognize America. This is your future.”

He’s right. The cage is polite, the guards speak softly, and the signage says “Equity, Inclusion, and Safety.” But once the door clicks shut, apologies won’t open it again.

Wake up Canada—maybe it’s time we stopped saying “sorry” and started saying “enough.”

It is time for the United States to leave NATO.

Clearly, President Donald Trump has known for years that this alliance no longer serves American interests just as it can no longer even continue to justify its existence.

Last week, Trump was continuing to question both the motives and efficacy of an alliance system that hasn’t done anything for the United States in decades but has proven itself very adept at using the United States and stealing its defense dollars.

“But I’m very disappointed in NATO,” Trump said. “They weren’t there for us. We pay trillions of dollars for NATO, and they weren’t there for us.”

“Now they want to come up, but there’s no real threat anymore,” he said.

It was just the latest indication that Trump is on the verge of withdrawing from NATO.

“The Ostrich Con” is arguably the most malignant hit piece in the history of Canadian journalism. That may be obvious. But why is it important?

It’s important because the CBC produced this documentary to cover the ass of the Mark Carney Liberal government and to completely distract your attention from what was really important in this Canadian tragedy. The fifth estate wants you to focus on personalities and the lies told about those personalities. It does not want you to ask questions about why the invasion, occupation and destruction of Universal Ostrich Farms (UFO) actually happened: to enforce tyrannical government legislation and to keep Big Pharm happy.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) came to kill the ostriches. The CBC came to destroy the family.

The CFIA invaded the farm on Sept. 22.

It murdered hundreds of ostriches on Nov. 6-7.

The CBC then invaded the farm and attempted to destroy, malign, defame and eviscerate farm spokeswoman Katie Pasitney and farm owner Karen Espersen.

The fifth estate [it’s not capitalized] piece, “The Ostrich Con,” that first aired on Friday Apr. 10, is perhaps the most despicable and atrocious piece of journalistic conjecture ever produced by Canada’s state broadcaster. It is a profound example of journalistic malpractice and devoid of any purpose except to reinforce the lies and deceit of the CFIA, the Carney government and the Big Pharma establishment. It fails to answer any of the questions or satisfy any of the concerns raised by UOF. It refuses to provide any of the accountability or justice rightfully demanded by Katie and Karen.

These state reporters scoured the local town of Edgewood, BC to find any backbiter or malcontent capable of issuing a groundless accusation or thoughtless suggestion that the farm was somehow not the victim of government overreach but was actually victimizing its supporters by seeking their financial assistance. The fifth estate even attempts to implicate Katie and Karen – without any evidence – to the assault of a local woman.

This is a wildly inaccurate but smugly mendacious piece of propaganda, care of Prime Minister Mark Carney and his agricultural terrorism squad, the CFIA. Its producers have the gall to call it an ostrich con but the fifth estate is guilty of the con with this contemptible assault on truth and dignity.

It suggests the farm had wild ideas about how ostriches might be used to fight H5N1 avian influenza because the birds had CLEARLY demonstrated herd immunity. Any idiot with the gift of sight would have noted so. Any idiot, that is, except the uber-idiots at the CBC.

The documentary relies on the reputation – if not the extensive testimony – over Dr. Angela Rasmussen, an “expert” virologist from the University of Saskatchewan. A US citizen, Rasmussen has received funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), an US government organization known for its dark and murky work that may or may not be in the interests of the citizens it supposedly serves. She continues to receive funding from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), the vaccine-crazy subsidiary of the US Health and Human Services Department The NIH was once led by the notorious Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose slavish devotion to Big Pharma is as well known as his tortuous attempts to deny the NIH’s active role in “gain of function” experimentation that may have produced the Covid virus.

Rasmussen attempts to dismiss any attempts by UOF to discover the secret of herd immunity by saying, “And I think calling it scientific work is quite generous … I would call it a scam.”

This highly politicized scientist, who routinely dismisses her opponents as proponents of “fascism,” is another absolute acolyte of the Covid vaccine and all mRNA vaccines, refusing to recognize or even acknowledge the massive and still growing weight of evidence that these toxic brews are killing millions of people around the world and were never “safe and effective.” If you wish to know just how deadly pharmaceutical companies knew the Covid vax was, see “The Pfizer Papers” from my friend Dr. Naomi Wolf.

Rasmussen never conducted a comprehensive inspection of the farm or its work and has never even visited the site. Yet she just seems to know in her very being that everything the farm produced was either deceitful or driven by avarice.

The Ostrich Con is a hit piece in every conceivable way, reporting hearsay evidence from dubious sources as if the information was unimpeachable and it relies completely on a classic ad hominem attack on Katie, Karen and past co-owner Dave Bilinksy. They accuse the farm of raising money under false pretenses because they had bills and debts to pay. What farm doesn’t?

The documentary repeats the lie – absolutely refuted by Katie in her Facebook posts – that the farm did not report the initial sickness on the farm to either a veterinarian or the CFIA. The state broadcasters accept the premise that the ostriches even had H5N1 influenza when even that assertion is subject to serious dispute.

But ultimately, all of these trappings are just a massive distraction intended to avoid addressing the principal question of the ostrich farm saga: why did the CFIA steadfastly refuse to test the ostriches for influenza and why did they threaten the farm with six months and jail and/or a $100,000 fine if they tested the birds themselves? That question never pops up in this propaganda piece for the federal government.

Why? Because the the CFIA’s case against the farm is entirely based on the assumption that the ostriches carried H5N1 and if that lie had been exposed, the entire house of cards would have collapsed.

Neither does fantasy documentary disclose how the CFIA never communicated in the mandated and appropriate way with the farm. On Feb. 6, 2026, the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal overturned a vicious $10,000 fine levied against the farm by the CFIA because UOF supposedly never told them about the sick ostriches. The tribunal ruled that the CFIA had relied exclusively on email to inform the farm of its arbitrary decisions and that this was a contravention of the Health of Animals Regulations.

That decision could still form the foundation of a lawsuit against the CFIA. And there is much to build upon that foundation with the CFIA other highly provocative actions at the farm during its invasion, occupation and evacuation.

The numerous acts of cruelty committed by the CFIA agents and documented by the farm and many journalists are not mentioned in this documentary. No one is curious about what the hell the CFIA and RCMP were up to at 2 a.m. in the morning as ostriches began to disappear on a weekly basis during the occupation. Local videographers kept track of this. It was that obvious.

And there are no questions about why so-called “expert marksmen” expended about 1,000 rounds to kill the ostriches, or why they chose such an inhumane method of execution, or why they ignored the safety of the dozens of supporters who watched the massacre take place. Bullets were flying everywhere and people could easily have been killed. It is almost surprising that some zealous CFIA “marksman” didn’t take out some of the onlookers accidently on purpose.

There was nothing said about the CFIA’s incompetent and unlawful evacuation of the farm, when they tasked RCMP members to act as farm hands and use pitch forks to disperse the piles of hay that were drenched in blood and ostrich debris. This material was supposed to be toxic, remember? Yet the cops wore no protective wear and did not even don gloves, despite supposedly being exposed to infected earth and hay. When the CFIA goons first arrived they seemingly forgot to get with the cover story because they didn’t put on their Hazmat suits for days. Did the fifth estate not find that detail comical or even pertinent to the story?

The firm that the CFIA contracted to remove the dead ostriches – the Super Save Group – was not authorized to transport toxic animal remains but they nonetheless overloaded their trucks with the corpses and drove to a landfill that was supposedly prepared for “deep burial.” The location of the funeral has never been disclosed by the CFIA but we know that other Super Save trucks drove all the way to the lower mainland with their loads, ostrich blood and fluids leaching out of the bottom of the trucks.

This was all illegal. And the CFIA then had the gall to refuse to clean up the farm or even allow Katie and Karen to do so – it was placed under quarantine and remains so to this day. Your federal government left this farm looking like a war zone, or, perhaps more accurately, like a shitpit.

This attack piece addresses none of these questions but finds a perverse joy in showing video clips of Katie crying and begging these CFIA monsters for mercy. This film demonstrates a pornographic dedication to displaying the misery, sadness, violation and deprivation of this family and the CBC – already a disreputable media agency dispensing scurrilous and highly tendentious journalism – should be scorned by all Canadians for even wanting to produce this travesty.

The fifth estate clearly had an objective in mind when it decided to produce this “documentary.” Clearly this work is not justifying why a federal government agency slaughtered hundreds of healthy ostriches and destroyed a farm. It utterly fails to do that, not even bothering to ask the question. It’s like they are describing a family that promoted and fundraised around a situation that never happened; like they raised all this money and all this consciousness and the feds didn’t end up doing anything at all!

This is a scandalous, horrible and contrived piece of work that deserves to be consigned to the dustbin of CBC history – and the state broadcaster needs to be sold off to the highest bidder so Canadian taxpayers will no longer be on the hook for its $1.4 billion annual funding.

Let truth prevail.
