If you had told me during that February of 2022 when I was covering the Freedom Convoy protest for a couple of my US media outlets that Chris Barber and Tamara Lich would be serving house arrest four-and-a-half years later and preparing for ANOTHER trial, I would have said it couldn’t happen – not in Canada.

But this isn’t Canada anymore. I thought it was bad in the twilight years of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. But it’s gotten worse under his successor, Mark Carney. Censorship and corruption have intensified under Carney, who has failed to deliver on any of his promises of affordable housing and a trade deal with the US but has succeeded in putting the interests of Brookfield Asset Management above those of Canada and turning this country into a censorship and surveillance state.

And all the while, Carney has maintained a popularity, especially among older Canadians, that is profoundly inexplicable given his lack of success.

So was the Freedom Convoy the last gasp of a free Canada? Was it the last demonstration of the old Canada that believed in freedom and human dignity? I not only enjoyed writing about this seminal moment in Canadian history, I enjoyed the experience – the people, the dancing, the celebration, the exhilaration, the feeling that we were free again, if only for a moment. It was a transformational political experience for me as I was always an establishment conservative who had served in the Canadian Armed Forces, worked on Parliament Hill for MPs and written for mainstream media. But after the Freedom Convoy, I never trusted government again. I had gotten the Covid vaccine twice because I believed in following the rules and trusting the authorities to protect my safety. Hadn’t they done that while I served as an Air Force officer?

But I realized the social contract between the government and the people was a distant memory and the Freedom Convoy transformed me into a populist who no longer saw the elites as conserving democracy and preserving freedom but as undermining both.

I am privileged, indeed blessed, to call Chris Barber and Tamara Lich my friends, to know that I need only call them up and they will be available for an interview. They are two of the nicest people I know and also two of the most dedicated to the cause of freedom and the principle of liberty. Nothing on this earth will shut them down or their determination to fight for what is right.

William F. Buckley, Jr., who defined my political beliefs as a young man, once said that he would rather be governed by the first 100 names int the New York City phone book than by a similar number listed from the Harvard University faculty.

That’s populism.

That’s what the Freedom Convoy was all about and that’s what Chris and Tamara represent.

And I would rather be governed by the truckers who came out to save Canadian lives by scrapping the Covid mandates than any of the outstanding mediocrities who dominate Mark Carney’s cabinet and caucus.

But the political persecution for Chris and Tamara isn’t over yet. The Ontario Crown was never happy with the pair only getting house arrest when they were convicted of mischief in the longest trial of its kind in Canadian history. There should never have been a trial, never have been a conviction, never have been any sentence – but to go to jail for seven or eight years for peaceful protest? That was and is ridiculous.

Barber says the decision on whether the will be retried will only come after both have finished serving their current sentence. “We were given so given 12 months of 24 hour curfew at home, so that 24-hour curfew will end October 7th of 2026, and then we go on to a six-month curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. which means I have to be home every night at 10 p.m. Unless I’m trucking,” Barber notes, saying he has to report all of his time spent working to his probation officer.

“But then, it was just a week or so ago that the Crown announced … we’ll possibly have a trial date for a retrial, an appeal hearing with the three judge panel in the Appeals Court of Toronto, in the Spring of 2027. So we’ll [have] completed our sentence, and then we’ll face the possibility of a retrial,” Barber says, insisting that the Crown is determined to see the duo incarcerated.

“They asked for 10 years right off the bat, then they dropped it to eight. I’m assuming they’re going to ask for five now … You know, the process is the punishment,” Barber says.

“I spoke to a retired RCMP officer yesterday. I was parked in a little town in Saskatchewan, you know, for the night, and the door knocked, and it was a retired RCMP member, and he said, ‘You know, I got out of the force because of the reasons of why the system is just kind of corrupt.’. But he encouraged me to stand proud.”

But doesn’t this look like double jeopardy? “Well, you’re exactly right, and that’s one of the crazy things about this situation,” Tamara told me. “My sentence will be served January 21 st of 2027 … so my sentence will already be served before we even get to request leave to appeal. As you know, I am appealing my conviction. The crown prosecutor is appealing the acquittals on the two intimidation charges as well as my sentence. So you know, when all is said and done, let’s say, for example, let’s say they win, and there’s another trial. I mean, we’re still looking two-and-a-half years probably down the road before that could even happen,” she says.

“It’s frustrating for Chris and I; you know, we’ve been convicted. We’re serving our sentences. That’s fine. We’re being held accountable, appealing that decision, obviously. But we still have a federal government that illegally, unlawfully, and unconstitutionally invoked the Emergencies Act, and they have yet to be held accountable for their most egregious act against Canadian citizens.”

The Crown continues to play hardball with Chris and Tamara, treating them like they had committed the most egregious of crimes instead of merely demanding justice from the incompetent Trudeau government. Barber says the Crown has appointed Emily Marrocco to argue for a retrial. “She’s a Crown counsel for the Crown’s Law Office, and she’s normally a criminal lawyer and she specializes in the appeal process.”

“So usually Emily, she prosecutes a range of offenses, including homicides, human trafficking, firearms, drug trafficking, internet child exploitation, sexual violence, and youth criminal organization offenses … and I fit into this category allegedly. So does Tamara, where the government has to have a lawyer that usually prosecutes all those things that I just listed and now they’re going to drop down to the worst case of all – mischief.”

Tamara was just subject to a week of hostile media and social media bile for attending the US Ambassador’s Reception in Ottawa. Peter Hoekstra invited Lich as a “media personality.”

“There’s a lot of people that are big, big mad over my appearance there. But I mean, you need to understand that I cannot leave my house. I cannot walk off of my sidewalk at my residence without permission from my probation officer and Medicine Hat Community Corrections. Every single thing I do has to be completely documented from the route I’m taking to the flight I’m on to where I’m stopping for a bathroom break to where I’m going to stop and get fuel. Every single thing has to be 100% documented and approved,” she says.

Tamara doubts the Left is really concerned that she is somehow violating her house arrest by attending a reception in Ottawa. “The reason that they’re losing their minds so much is because I am not miserable, I am not broken, I am not suffering and I am not demoralized. I am just that kind of person that will make the most out of every situation. This is what it is … But it’s still quite funny to watch … the tolerant inclusive groups that are bullying me essentially.”

Barber says he longs for the Canada of his childhood and youth and not the one Trudeau and Carney have created.

He describes the loss of freedom in Canada like “a dog being chained to a tree and the government removes a link off the chain every day. The dog doesn’t realize that he’s slowly losing his freedom until it’s too late, and that’s exactly where we are right now. There’s maybe two feet of chain left, Canada and you’re you’re giving that up. Unfortunately, we need somebody to come in with a cutting torch and hack that chain in half and and let people live again because the government right now, they control every aspect of your life,” Barber notes.

“No, this is definitely not the Canada that we grew up in.”

Chris says if he and Tamara have to go on trial again, he hopes at least there will be more opportunity to hear from sympathetic witnesses who told them that the Freedom Convoy protest was a transcendental moment in Canadian history and that by fighting against Covid mandates, they saved the lives of countless Canadians – given that we now know the vax was neither safe nor effective and was actually toxic and responsible for the deaths of millions.

Including family members of mine.

The only witnesses heard at the trial were from the cloistered elite with high-end clothing stores in the Ottawa Market.

“Like you said earlier, you know the feelings of the people that were so hurt in downtown Ottawa, how dare these blue collar Canadians, these working class people come to our entitled city, and how dare they throw a protest that might inconvenience me? I mean, you listen to some of the testimony from, what, the seven citizens of Ottawa that testified. One guy’s complaint was he had to walk his child with skates on down a sidewalk to get to the rink because he couldn’t drive there. I had a car there. We rented a car, so it was easier to drive around in certain places, and you could access every part of the city. There wasn’t a gridlock like what legacy media government tries to make it seem like” says Chris.

Did the conviction and sentencing of Chris and Tamara, along with the brutal imposition of Trudeau and Carney’s Emergencies Act, provide a chill against protesting Liberal government policies?

“The government has done this to send a message to anyone else who has the audacity to stand up to the, you know, the rule of law in this country or the government. You look back at the dates. I hear the arguments on my social media feeds, and they’re like, “Well, the government was actually ending the mandates anyway, so you guys were pointless. No, they weren’t. You know, [former Public Safety Minister] Marco Mendicino was talking about interprovincial check stops and establishing them. The U the Canadian government, was in implementing the cross-border mandates for commercial vehicle drivers. They weren’t stopping with the mandates. That was a fallacy in people’s minds if they want to stop and think about it for two seconds. The government wasn’t stopping their control. All the other governments around the world were relaxing Covid mandates,” says Chris.

“If people took the time to research how many people are hurt right now, how many people are died? It’s unbelievable. The amount of sudden deaths right now in young Canadian adults is staggering. The amount of people with neurological diseases or issues right now that are are they don’t have they can’t work anymore. They are literally and the government. What are they doing? They’re trying to implement new programs to try and help them, but it’s a fight, no, no different than any other government fight. It’s sickening to see how this government continues to act with no accountability for what they did to Canadian citizens during the scandemic.”

Tamara agrees.

“You know, I think it absolutely has [sent a chill]. And I’ve had people, you know, come up and say that to me. There was a rally being held in Saskatchewan in Regina, and I was told this story about a woman and her friend that were on their way from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to Regina to go to this rally, and they were stopped by the RCMP along the way and basically told, you know, you shouldn’t go there. You’re going to get ‘Chris and Tamerad.’ So I think there is definitely a chill out there. People are certainly, you know, afraid of having the heavy hand of the Canadian legal system thrust down upon them,” she says.

“But, but that said, there’s nothing to be afraid of, and I think that’s one of the things that angers them the most about Chris and I too. I mean, they don’t scare me. You know what we do? Put me in jail? Been there, done that. Like I got the T-shirt. So you know they have no power over me, and I mean, just because a judge can prevent me, you know, from moving around freely, that doesn’t grant me freedom. God gives me my freedom, so you know I don’t feel I don’t feel like I’m suffering. If that makes sense, there’s well, I just won’t let them. I just refuse to let them”

Both Chris and Tamara have remained staunch supporters of Katie Pasitney and Karen Espersen of Universal Ostrich Farms, who saw their property invade and occupied by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) before these government thugs slaughtered hundreds of healthy ostriches.

“We had the opportunity to go out to the ostrich farm a couple times last summer before we were sentenced. Katie and Karen are just such lovely people. They had a great gathering, a great group of people out there, you know, supporting them, obviously. And I supported them. And you’re absolutely right. I mean, regardless of how you feel about the avian bird flu and everything that was going on, you know, we can’t have government agencies completely taking over your property and telling you what you can’t do with your own land. I mean, then it’s not your land. So, you know, they’ve been through so much. They’ve been absolutely traumatized, and now to be told that they can’t even clean up their own farm eight months later is absolutely ridiculous. The CFIA is not going to come in and do anything. But imagine if the roles were reversed. If you went and made a mess at the CFIA, you’re going to have to clean it up, or you’re going to get charged or fined or what have you. So I mean, the hypocrisy, the double standards, the two -ier system. It’s not very democratic,” says Tamara.

“I can’t believe what happened to Katie and her family in BC over the CFIA’s actions there. That was thuggery. That was 1930s German death squad activity ish. Imagine to be those officers standing on top of those bales, shooting down into you know living beings with 20-two caliber rifles. It’s sickening to see the power that the CFIA has in this country. It’s disgusting to to watch their actions, and especially the RCMP that were behind them and the enforcement on that farm, and exactly what the family went through and continues to go through today, … And now if they go to clean up the mess the CFIA made, they’re going to get fined again,” says Chris.

“This country is authoritarian, disgusting. I’m going to leave my language right there because I don’t think I’ve been so more irked in my life than I have been witnessing the CFIA do the the draconian measures that they did to Katie and her family last year. That was absolutely appalling and disgusting. And if you’re supporting a government agency acting like the CFIA did, you’re just as bad as they are when you can’t open your eyes and see what’s going on around you,” he continues.

Tamara is supporting Alberta independence largely because she says Canada has deserted the values that it once possessed.

“So you know, we’ve sort of reached a precipice where our values are not aligned. You know, most Albertans don’t agree with MAiD [Medical Assistance in Dying], or at least with how they’re.-- I’m not going to say forcing MAiD on people, but they’re definitely pressuring. There’s people that have been pressured for MAiD, and you’ve had some of them on your show, from veterans to vaccine injured to somebody with a you know a sore leg. So I mean, those aren’t our values. We’re not aligned anymore. As you know. Alberta’s sort of moving away from all the DEI nonsense …. So it’s more than money. It’s more than a pipeline. It has to do with our values and you know how we want to raise our families and the kind of world we want our children and our grandchildren to live in, and Canada just right now is it’s a clown show. It is an absolute clown show,” she says.

Tamara can’t resist castigating the cast of characters who populate the cabinet of Mark Carney. “We have all these liberal ministers in there that don’t have a hot clue what they’re doing, from Melanie Joly to Evan Solomon. Like, tell me what Evan Solomon knows about computing and AI. I’ll tell you nothing … ”

“Our values are not the same. Canada used to be a country that cared for its most vulnerable people, from our senior citizens to our war veterans to anyone, our sick, our terminally ill, and now they’re just being, you know, well, you know, you can have this glorious, this glorious death, and they try to make it sound like it’s so lovely and wonderful.”

Would you believe that Universal Ostrich Farms is still under quarantine eight months after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) left it looking like a warzone?

It’s true. And there is still no end in sight.

The lives of Katie Pasitney and Karen Espersen were changed forever during the night that stretched from Nov. 6 to 7. After weeks of their farm being first invaded and occupied by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the mother and daughter had learned that the Supreme Court would not hear their case to save their beloved ostriches from a completely unnecessary “cull” – as the killers in their Hazmat suits called it, insisting the birds were in the throes of avian influenza. The CFIA moved in as darkness fell over Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, BC. The so-called “marksmen” shot at the birds all night long and into the early morning hours of the next day, killing hundreds, maybe 300 – it was never determined how many birds were actually killed on site and how many had already been spirited away, dead or alive, during multiple periods of weird activity in the wee small hours of the morning.

On that grisly, terrible morning, some of the ostriches were still alive, writhing in pain and clinging to life. The killers finished them off with a bullet to their heads.

And that should tell you a lot about just how sick and awful this experience was.

It was the most traumatic experience of Katie’s and Karen’s lives – and probably also for the dozens of supporters who had gathered on the site and decided to remain to show their undying loyalty to the farm and these courageous women. The CFIA’s massacre was so reckless that it endangered the lives of those who chose to stay. The shooters expended their rifle shells in every direction in what was termed a “kill pen.” But just as the CFIA goons had been careless and cruel throughout their occupation of the farm, they weren’t exactly prudent in their firing. But, by the time the sun rose in the morning, there were lifeless birds lying all around the pen where they had once frolicked and danced and delighted not just the owners but thousands of visitors to the farm.

Katie was left not just distraught but emotionally decapitated. She could barely function as fall became winter and Christmas arrived. The family was not and still is not allowed to clean up the disaster that the CFIA left behind them, spent shell casings all over the yard, blood-soaked hay, garbage left behind. I did some interviews with Katie and encouraged her and her mom to sue the CFIA and the Liberal government. But the day came when Katie just didn’t want to talk anymore. She had endured the merciless online assaults of hate groups and morons who were convinced Katie and her mom had somehow pulled off an elaborate con; that they had really wanted things to end up like this, even if that end was financially and emotionally catastrophic. They decided to participate in a CBC fifth estate documentary called “The Ostrich Con” that was one of the most vicious and atrocious pieces of journalistic excesses in Canadian history. It is insufficiently accurate to say the “documentary” was a hit job. It was an exercise in myopic, tendentious, politically-motivated reporting that never asked any of the real questions that had always been pertinent to the ostrich farm calamity.

Such as why the CFIA had never tested the birds for the H5N1 avian influenza that had provoked the cull order in the beginning. The birds had obviously developed herd immunity and were healthy

Instead, the CBC came for the family, just as the CFIA had come for the ostriches. It was a monstrous example of character assassination.

Well, this week, Katie came back. I spoke with her for the first time in months and we were joined by an old friend, former Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Gerry Ritz, who has been outstandingly supportive of Katie and her mom while being both a knowledgeable and severe critic of the CFIA’s “thuggery” as he consistently called the bad behavior of this off-the-rails government agency. It is perhaps unnecessary to say that Ritz doesn’t have to get involved in politics anymore; that’s he’s fought the good fight and served Canada. But Gerry can’t help himself because he’s a good man who cares about people and especially about farmers.

Here’s the result of our recent conversation.

It’s so nice to have Katie back.

But believe it or not, the farm is still in quarantine and will be so for an indefinite time. Maybe forever. But probably not if we can continue to fight this para-military squad with the same intensity and dedication that Katie and Karen have exhibited.

I asked Katie why the CFIA was continuing to stop the cleanup at the farm and threatening to charge anyone who dared ignore their edict. Anyone who does eventually volunteer to assist in carting away the CFIA’s mess will have to register.

The official reason for keeping the farm under quarantine is because these are “fallow days,” meaning the temperature is above four degrees Celsius.

Of course, it’s all just more rubbish from a government agency that dispenses mendacity and trash – both real and verbal – at an alarming rate.

“They have not been on our farm since they left. There has been no more testing. I guess it could bring us all back to the scientific question, when we were begging for the ostriches to be tested to use science over speculation, especially if we’re handling such a severe virus and something that could be a potential risk to humanity. Why aren’t we testing the soil? Why are we not testing the straw out in the field? Why haven’t they been back on site to test the water to see what is happening with the evolving virus? Is it already destroyed by weather? Is there any more virus left? Why are we going off speculatory old data of 180 fallow days?” Katie asks.

She isn’t expecting any answers even they’ve “found live ammunition in this straw. We don’t know how much live ammunition is under it, and there’s so much potential hazard and risk sitting out there yet. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency just walked away from it.”

Pasitney says the farm’s supporters are not keen on surrendering their personal information to the CFIA, especially since some are farmers and therefore subject to the vicious whims of this out of control government agency.

“A lot of people said, ‘No way.’ I mean, here we have just a bunch of Good Samaritans that want to see this trauma put behind us, so that we continue to move forward, and we can create, hopefully, some hope and change, and come up with better policies that are going to affect Canadians in a more positive way and they’re being – it’s almost a threat, right? It’s just like the facial recognition or retinal scanning, or it’s all … invasive,” Katie continues.

“We have to understand, as Canadians, that this — when your animals are destroyed and the damage is done — doesn’t just end in our fields and it doesn’t end in our barns, and it doesn’t end in our pastures. It follows into our homes … it follows into our children who’ve watched your family break and lose everything and then it just doesn’t stop with their children. It follows into my children. It’s a generational pain. It’s a generational trauma that is created every time we do this and the generations that are watching this are learning not to trust our government; they’re learning not to trust our RCMP,” she observes.

“We need to come together as Canadians, united, and we have to find a better way. How do we protect our country? How do we protect our agricultural sector? How do we stop this from being a generational curse?”

Katie reveals that despite the land supposedly still being unfit for farming, the CFIA just walked away and didn’t start paying attention again until Katie and her mom talked about cleaning up the warzone. Mark Kelly, primary journalist for the CBC’s “fifth estate” and that program’s hatchet job on the farm — that really has to be seen to be believed because it is so toxic and mean — came to the farm and just walked around the supposedly contaminated kill pen like he was inspecting a local park. That reminded me of how the CFIA officers did not bother to wear Hazmat suits for days after their occupation of the farm. How strange. But if you’re in on the big lie then you don’t even have to bother to look like you’re taking any of this very seriously.

“It wasn’t until they saw that we were going to start to clean it up and expose that there’s live ammunition and expose the pain once again, [that] it was going to come to light that they piped up and said, “Oh, no, no, no, no, no, you can’t touch it. There’re fallow days that have to be followed above four degrees Celsius.”

Gerry Ritz finds it all ridiculous but pretty much typical for today’s CFIA, an organization he used to command as the minister responsible.

“The old adage, ‘[adding] insult to injury,’ pops to mind, but doesn’t begin to cover the egregious behavior of these CFIA thugs,” he says. “You know, the whole mandate of CFIA is one based on science. It is to support food safety and trade corridors, so that our products can still go … domestically and internationally. They’ve gone way beyond that with what they’ve done here. I can’t, for the life of me, understand the powers that would be allowing this to happen. We’ve got a rogue element within CFIA. There’s still some really good people there.”

Ritz used to work with the current president of the CFIA, Dr. Harpreet Kochhar, and he promises to Katie to contact him and ask him what he thinks of what has happened and what is still happening at Universal Ostrich Farms.

“I mean, I found him to be a very thoughtful, science-based gentleman and I’m more than happy to contact him on your behalf and see just where his thoughts are on this. He really would respond to me. He should, being a former minister, and as a former friend, I would like to think he would. I do have his contacts, but I wanted to check with you first, Katie, before I went that route at the end of the day,” Ritz offers.

“CFIA is all about containment. They’ve done more than that here. And what I can’t understand is these fallow days don’t mean squat, as far as I’m concerned. I mean, there’s migratory birds, there’s animals coming through that all the time. That’s not containment. What you guys wanted to do was clean up that and actually extend that containment, so that the soil was cleansed, and they’re not allowing you to do that. That, to me, is the lack of science. It’s the antithesis of science. This is a cover-up. It continues to be just that,” Gerry insists, remembering how the CFIA claimed to “deep bury” all of the ostriches but really brought a truckload to Surrey and “rotted on the spot,” which, Ritz says continues “to destroy the credibility of the CFIA.”

Katie and Karen held up the CFIA’s lack of credibility for the world to see by meticulously documenting the cruelty and medical incompetence demonstrated by the agents who used to enjoy lassoing the ostriches and tormenting them.

“Everyone in Canada should wake up and look at what happened at our farm, and if that can happen at our farm, I think the question needs to be, ‘Are you next?’ Who’s next? And how is this going to affect the future of Canadians and our families? I am still shocked. Yeah, we are still fighting,” Katie says.

And, at long last, “There is going to be a lawsuit. This, it’s very important. It’s taken a lot of time, because … we’ve been in a healing bubble … but every day is just so consumed with this, this feeling of that nobody got [charged], says Katie. She says she continues to get messages from supporters and well-wishers who ask, “You’re still fighting, right?”

“I think we just need to come up with a solution. I really want to see us all come forward with a solution that’s going to be a better way, that’s going to have an agency that’s going to have more to answer to, to have accountability. There’s the accountability word; but we need an agency that has to answer to the people that they’re supposed to be serving and this has been a very long, wild ride,” Katie reveals.

Gerry is convinced that the CFIA could well come up with another excuse to keep the farm under quarantine once they run out of fallow days. “But if they’re even concerned about containment of this virulent virus, they would have cleaned it up themselves. In fact, that’s part of their original mandate. If they take over a farm, they do the cleanup, and I haven’t seen that happen here. They didn’t take care of the ostriches … everything was beyond the pale, and you know, nobody forgets, and nor should we.”

We get to the fifth estate piece. Katie says the title itself – “The Ostrich Con” provided every indication that this “documentary” was going to be a cruel, ad hominem, character assassination.

“The only con that was happening here was the Canadian Food Inspection Agency blindly trying to blindfold the public, saying ‘This is a virus, this is a virus.’ So we were not the con. The con, [in] the title was, I think, it was one of the worst things. Just felt like a punch to the gut.”

Katie says what made it even worse is that there are still a lot of Canadians who really believe the CBC produces reputable journalism and is not just state media for their favorite Liberal governments that continue to dispense $1.5 billion a year to keep the operation going.

“When they came, they were coming to actually just interview the hate group in Edgewood that had been created, they were never going to interview us, and then at the very last minute he said, ‘With or without you, this is going out,’ because my mom and I were not going to put our face up to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.”

“We weren’t going to put our faces to it, we said absolutely not, but then we just said ‘No, we have nothing to hide, we have everything to show, and we’re going to answer the hard questions and we’re going to come on, and we’re going to — yeah — we’ll answer our questions.”

“So, to see how it ended up turning out was really, really sad,” says Katie, remarking that Mark Kelly had the unmitigated nerve to ask her if she was embarrassed for reaching out to sympathetic Americans like Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. “And I said, ‘Well, if our country would have listened, and we would have had any true leadership that would have taken the time to understand what we were trying to fight for, I wouldn’t have had to go out of country,’ and the only reason I went out of country was because I was involving one of our largest trading partners, who they kept saying it had to do a trade.”

I reminded Katie how we used to talk in the aftermath of the tragedy and plan for the creation of a group that would fight for farmers. Katie would be “a voice for farmers. I remembered how the last time Katie, Gerry and I were on my broadcast together, Gerry had called Katie “our Joan of Arc.”

“And I said that’s that was so beautiful, and I said it was just so touching, and I think it’s just so appropriate, and I know you’ve been through - I won’t say literal hell, but the next worst thing to it in the last six months and it’s been a terrible time for you and I know there have been times you just haven’t been able to talk, and you haven’t been able to do interviews, and I totally understand that.”

I asked Katie if she thought there might be “a time when you can enter the ring again, be our Joan of Arc, fight for farmers, be that voice that you have been such an articulate voice for all during this time … Whenever you do an interview, you always get the point across in a way that few others that I know, certainly in the agricultural sector, do as well as you do. So, I hope and I pray you’re able to get involved,” I said.

Katie accepted the compliment, or more accurately, acknowledged the truth.

“I never asked for this position when I decided to stand by my mom’s side last year. It was about protecting our family, and it very quickly evolved into something more. And I’m proud to say to kids and people who’ve reached out to me and said, you and your mom are heroes for saying no and just taking the fight on at the afterwards, it was like hitting a brick wall … because for over 300 days we were just on a mission, taking every phone call, every interview, to make sure that we could get … the message across to all Canadians and people across the world, that we could unite people, and that the ostriches were not going to die in vain,” says Katie.

“I am back. I’m ready to speak more about this. There’re great opportunities coming,” she says.

“They’ve tried their damnedest to push you down, but they will never ever push you out,” Gerry interjects.

“Nope, they will not. Thanks, Jerry, and my mom too. If you have never met such a warrior, and that’s where I got it from, my mom; she is a force to be reckoned with. She is still at home. She’s caring for my dad on top of all of this, and so we’ve just — we’ve both just been kind of bouncing off each other, but we’re both ready to get back in the ring.”

And as resistance leader Victor Lazlo says to a resurgent Rick Blaine in the immortal film Casablanca, “Welcome back to the fight.”

I first listened to the wisdom of Col. (Ret.) Douglas Macgregor when he was a regular guest on Tucker Carlson’s last show on Fox News. Macgregor had a completely different analysis of the war in Ukraine: insisting the war did not start in 2022 when Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine but years earlier when Ukraine began killing ethnic Russians in the Donbass region; stating that Ukraine could not become another member of NATO given its geographic proximity and historic relationship to Russia; and arguing that the Russian armed forces were quite capable of winning this war and did not constitute an incompetent military formation.

By that I was sick of listening to the propaganda, talking points and patent absurdity of Gen. (Ret.) Jack Keane, who was Fox News’ regular go-to military expert. It was – and is – difficult to take Keane seriously, despite his credentials as a former vice chief of staff of the US Army. Keane was an advocate of forever wars whether he was in or out of uniform and he has advised presidents to keep those wars going. People at this rank level may leave the military but they never stray far from the Military Industrial Complex that President Dwight Eisenhower famously – or perhaps infamously – described in this last public address as president to the American people in 1961. Ike did not become enmeshed in the sinister synchronicity between the military and industry but most retired generals routinely do. They join the boards of directors of companies like Boeing and Raytheon, heavily invest in the armaments industry and make a lot of money. Obviously, the best way to keep the cash flowing and maintain the value of the stocks in these companies is to constantly keep the US at war or preparing for war.

That’s why these clowns are hired as talking heads and military experts by cable news: to maintain a status quo that works very well for the elites.

What separates Macgregor from these paid political generals is his personal honesty, obvious integrity and enormous sense of history. Macgregor does not assess the present in a vacuum but with a thorough comprehension of where America and the world has been for the last century and beyond. Whether he’s talking about the US Civil War or the implementation of the Marshall Plan, Macgregor knows how we got from then to now.

He is a decorated veteran, has taught at West Point and was a senior advisor to the last defense secretary in President Donald Trump’s first term of office.

I always enjoy my conversations with Doug and this is an excerpt from my last interview with him.

I asked Col. Macgregor if he thought there was any hope of enforcing the current peace treaty with Iran.

“I would say the following: President Trump’s decision to sign that memorandum and begin negotiations with Iran demonstrated his business sense, if you will. He, I think, concluded privately that this wasn’t going to work, this military operation and he didn’t want to reinforce failure. So, I think that has to be said. On the other hand, does President Trump fully grasp that the United States has lost its war to subjugate Iran, and does he understand that he tried to do it with air and naval power, which together almost never work and did he understand that the mission to wrest control of the Strait of Hormuz from Iran unnecessarily exposed the limits of American military power? These are limits that were until now effectively concealed from the public, and I think the answer to those questions are no, no, and no,” Macgregor says.

“I don’t think he gets it yet, and I think that’s a huge problem, because I don’t think he understands he is not in a position to dictate anything. Iran has unambiguously triumphed in this conflict. Iran dominates the Gulf, and we can’t change that now. I suppose someone out there will say, well, if we nuke them, blah blah blah, but that’s a very stupid remark. And my last personal experience with him made it very clear, President Trump does not want anything to do with nuclear weapons under any circumstances and certainly does not want to use them; so I think he just has to come to grips with that now,” Macgregor continues.

Doug suggested “the other problem” that Trump is experiencing are his “obligations” to the “billionaire Zionists who funded him, who have helped to enrich him since he came back to the White House.”

Macgregor wonders why Trump left the White House in 2021 with he and his family poorer after the experience but they certainly appear to have been enriched during the second go around.

He believes Trump’s backers feverishly wanted a war with Iran as a payback during his second term and he has somewhat reluctantly complied.

“He did not do that the first time he had an opportunity during his first four years, because he didn’t want it. He really never did. He made that pretty clear to me privately. This is not somebody who wants war with anybody, and least of all with Iran, but this time around he had no choice. And as you recollect, we did not initiate the war, we followed the Israelis down the path to war. They were the first ones that struck against Iran, and then we went and followed after them.”

Macgregor unapologetically says the US lost the war with Iran because “we didn’t have the capability to overcome Iran’s defense” but only entered the war because Israel insisted. “For Israel, this is existential. Israel embarked on a campaign of mass murder and expulsion in Gaza. It has now extended that campaign into Lebanon, and the Israeli plan was for us to do the same thing, effectively, to Iran. We knew we could never kill all of those people, but we could certainly destroy the country. That’s what Israel thought and that’s what they wanted us to do. We were supposed to do to Iran what the goal was to do to Russia, that is, cause it disintegrate, cause it to break up, to fragment into smaller pieces that could then be kept in a state of almost constant chaos, and then fully exploited and raped.”

He says that was what was intended for Russia but that “has failed miserably in Ukraine … but the notion that you’re going to get an agreement that the Israelis are going to respect or honor or support is absurd, because Israel’s in a position now where it must either win or face potential extinction, or I would say almost certain extinction. That means you’ve got to kill everybody in Lebanon, effectively finish the job in Gaza, and get us back into the war in Iran, if they cannot do those things, Israel’s finished.”

The retired colonel notes that Israel is extremely vulnerable to a nuclear bomb because of the size of its country. It simply cannot contain a nuclear blast without risking complete annihilation. The diminutive size of Israel has become an argument for the expansion of Israel and that’s the root of the Great Israel Project that seems to be embraced by so many members of Congress who have been bought and paid for by the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). “I don’t think we can fix that, but I don’t think that President Trump, even if he wanted to, could persuade Congress to completely cut off the Israelis [from military aid].”

Macgregor is seriously concerned about the life and safety of the president. He says the Israeli-controlled media outlets are “feeding in material to attack anybody that doesn’t unconditionally support whatever the Israelis want to do; so yes, Trump is under attack by those people. They have enough money and enough influence and enough people that they could threaten the life of the president of the United States. Now, are they doing that? I don’t know. I don’t have any access to intelligence that would suggest that, and that’s a question that you’d have to ask people in the Secret Service, who would probably have some answers for you. They may not be truthful with you and give you the answers, but they might know. But it’s just my gut feeling. I mean, this man, there are a few people who have tried to kill him on more than one occasion, correct?”

Even though the war with Iran has been transformational, perhaps ending the age of the aircraft as relatively cheap missiles and drones can take these enormously expensive weapons out of service, Macgregor thinks that lesson may have been lost on America’s military leadership.

“You have two problems. One is something we call presentism, and that is where whatever happens, it’s new, you try to persuade everybody that what you’ve already got on hand is really the answer after all, and this really doesn’t change much. So that’s problem number one. Problem number two is you don’t understand at all, and as a result, you take the position, ‘Well, we’re the best, we’re the biggest, there’s nobody that can challenge us and until somebody uses it against us and proves it. I’m not changing anything.’”

Doug agreed with me that the US doesn’t need an empire and probably never did; that empire ran contrary to everything the United States was supposed to be about and slowly eroded America’s principals and economic freedom.

“So you’re absolutely right, this business of empire is a disaster. We don’t want to be in any of these places. Then came the Cold War that became an excuse to stay all over the world, and it became a business, and all you have to do is walk around London. I’m sure you have something similar in Ottawa, or, or, you know, Paris, or Washington. Look at all these think tanks. What are they all about? All the Atlantic Council, NATO … the friends of NATO, and God knows what else.”

“But I would change the word empire to a different word. It’s not the end of an American empire, because that’s effectively gone. It’s the end of American military hegemony. That’s over, and that’s very important, because first of all, it’s bankrupting us, we don’t need it. Okay, you don’t need global military hegemony to defend your country, that’s nonsense. And then secondly, it’s provoked the rest of the world, you know, we have enemies all over the world now, there’s only one country in the world that is more widely hated and despised than us – Israel.”

Is there any silver lining to this? Doug points to public opinion in America and says there might be. “If you look at the latest polling data right now, the war in the Persian Gulf is even less popular than the Vietnam War was – stop and think about that, that means below 32% support in the population. He has the popular support of the American people to say that’s it, we’re out, we’re going home. Has anybody ever gone back and revisited Vietnam and said, ‘You know, we made a big mistake, we should have stayed longer.’ No, only idiots, only fools. We had no business ever being there to begin with.”

Macgregor continues to believe the war in Ukraine needs to be wrapped up as quickly as possible because of the ongoing potential for the conflict spiraling out of control and because of the sheer carnage in loss of life it has caused. Interestingly, he notes that Ukrainian-Canadians have been instrumental in Canada’s continued support for the war. He is completely correct here. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress is a powerful political organization that has demanded Canada send tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine and continue fanning the flames of the fantasy that Ukraine is ultimately going to win the war. Both Liberals and Conservatives in Canada are afraid of the Ukrainian vote turning against their parties. But Prime Minister Mark Carney has other reasons for passionately insisting Canada continue dispensing money to the corrupt government in Kyiv. As usual, Brookfield Asset Management has its tentacles deeply embedded in Ukraine through the provision of nuclear energy to reactors there and the company is third in line to benefit from the “reconstruction” of Ukraine if the Russians don’t decide otherwise.

Macgregor returns to one of his most familiar themes: mass migration.

“The problem with Donald Trump is that he has bungled badly the whole problem with migration. I really hate that word, migration, because it’s wrong. We were simply invaded by millions of people, and that was by design. Anybody, preferably, who is not a European, was herded through the openings in the, in the border, herded through airports and dumped in the country. They were viewed by the left as future voters that could always be counted on to vote against white people, and the left in the United States has become very racist and very anti-white, and you’ve had now at least a generation or more of people that have been taught in school that everything that our predecessors did … to build civilization, and and the real empire, which is North America, was evil and wrong … ”

“So that’s one problem. So we’re not as far along as they are in Britain, but we’re on a similar path now.” That’s why Macgregor believes “the two-party system is dead … The same billionaires really control most of what happens in both parties. They were formally very supportive of Biden, and the only reason they walked away from Biden is that they extracted a promise, and that promise was to go to war with Iran.”

“I just don’t see anybody on the horizon yet is going to be any better, and I think that’s what you’re going to see in England. I don’t see any evidence that this new gentleman is going to go in there and radically change anything.”

Macregor observes that some believe a changing of the guard in the UK will salvage things.

One commentator even said, “Rome is saved.”

“People are so pathetic,” Macgregor notes.

But maybe they can begin to believe again. Certainly Douglas Macgregor is a vital part of that process.

One of my favorite people, and easily one of my favorite politicians, is Pickering Councilor Lisa Robinson. She was seemingly elected to shine a light on just how corrupt and captive municipal governments have become in Canada. Lisa has been absolutely indefatigable in her defence of free speech and her insistence that municipal government focus on actually providing the services that voters need and not pandering to the LGBTQ agenda and attempting to indoctrinate the city into woke, left-wing causes that are reinforced with costly and downright stupid events. For standing up for the average citizen in her city, Lisa has been docked a full two years pay and sanctioned nine times by the mayor and council. I spoke with Lisa recently about her decision to run for mayor. If she wins – and she could – Lisa will not only shake up Pickering, her victory will rock the Ford government in Toronto and the Carney government in Ottawa.

It seems completely appropriate that the late President Ronald Reagan has been an inspiration for Lisa. Reagan remains an inspiration for me as well, a man who pushed back on the basic assumptions of the welfare state and dared to say that government was not always on our side, not usually on our side. He framed the future of the Republican Party when he introduced the GOP’s presidential candidate at its 1964 leadership convention. Sen. Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) would lose that year to President Lyndon Johnson but people, and the grassroots of the party, would remember that speech and they would remember Reagan in 1980 when America was looking for a hero.

Reagan turned out to be such a hero that he ended the Cold War. A vociferous anti-communist throughout his whole career, Reagan began to question the insanity of the arms race and had the political and moral courage to sit down with Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev and prepare a series of seminal and comprehensive cuts to the nuclear arsenal.

In the ideologically confused era in which we live, when we find it difficult to even define a conservative; arduous to know what Make America Great Again means anymore; and can’t decide whether President Donald Trump is an adherent of either, many of us yearn for Reagan and an era when we all understood that conservatism stood for free enterprise, anti-communism and traditional family values.

Yes it was that simple.

Lisa began our conversation with a reference to the Gipper.

“Well, you know, Ronald Reagan once said that government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem, and I can honestly now say that I agree with that statement 100%. So I’m running for mayor to return city hall back to the people. As you know, during my tenure of being a city councilor, I’ve witnessed so many things - I’ve witnessed first-hand extortion, corruption, lying rules ‘for thee but not for me’ attitude, a lot of wasteful spending of …the taxpayers dollars,” Robinson says.

When she was first elected, Robinson says she was told by a top municipal official to just get used to that kind of thing now that she was told that she was no longer “an outsider looking in.” Or she was now part of the local establishment and had just better play the game and cooperate with the powers.

“You know what, that really stuck with me. I guess they just figured that I was going to just follow along with the status quo and just … go along with everything that they said, no questions asked. And it’s kind of like a group think mentality over there and the moment that you start asking questions, that you start going, on your own … anytime that you start to push back against the establishment, then you know you’re going to get the reception that I have received over the last four years of docking my pay,” Robinson says.

“I haven’t been paid for almost a full two years from the city of Pickering, because they use that as a punishment against me and they say that I haven’t learned my lesson yet, so it’s high time that … I have to return city hall back to the people, and when I’m mayor, I want to create like a utopia here, you know, stop the rising taxes, protect the people, protect their properties, give children the ability to thrive here in Pickering,” she continues.

Incumbent mayor Kevin Ashe is running again “and there’s actually two other people who have actually joined the race as of this past week, so before it was just the two of us in the race, and now there’s four of us that are in the race.” Lisa isn’t sure why one of her opponents – who shares just about all of her values and policy positions, had decided to enter the race, since his candidacy is almost certain to split the small c conservative vote to some extent.

Lisa emphasizes that she not only advances strong common sense policies, she’s been punished for doing so. “I’ve been living it for four years, I’ve been standing up for … the privacy, and in bathrooms for, for women … that every man, woman, boy, and girl should have the right to choose between using a biological bathroom, or they could choose to use the universal change room, which is inclusive of all genders and families and … he’s like using everything that I’ve done over the last four years of standing up, and that’s what he’s talking about, right? So he’s taking my talking points and everything that I’ve stood for, like nothing original has come from him as of yet,” she says.

Robinson reminds us how she has done all of the heavy lifting in Pickering on these issues. She has done so much heavy lifting that she has become an icon to conservative and libertarian activists across Canada.

“You know, stuff that I’ve been fighting for for four years and lost pay for … standing my ground. So, you know, I don’t think he’s very serious candidate in my opinion, just for those reasons alone; because he’s just regurgitating stuff that I’ve lost my pay for, and what I stand very, very true to my heart, and what I’ve been fighting for at city hall.”

Robinson is convinced she can win. “I honestly, in my heart of hearts, believe that if the election was tomorrow, I would win hands down. So, you know, everywhere I go, I get support in every single store I’m in, you know, whether online or in person. I get support just about everywhere I go, and everybody wants to see things change here, like they don’t like the way that it’s going.”

She is hearing widespread rejection of the city’s obsession with woke ideology and “the draconian measures that have been in place. There’s so much censorship here in the city of Pickering, and it’s happening in other municipalities too. It’s just not us, but … we seem to be the leader of it. Like, for example, in our own council … delegates could come and speak for 10 minutes .. that time has been dropped down to five minutes. And I mean, these are … some pretty extensive topics that people need to speak on … and as you know, five minutes is not a lot of time for somebody to tell … their whole entire story,” says Lisa.

Robinson notes that council meetings cannot be recorded by members of the public or “you will be kicked out of council chambers, and you will be given a trespass notice if the media comes in, and if they want to report, they also cannot just go ahead and report; they actually have to have … a seconder, and get two- thirds of the council to vote to say that.”

“And that’s what’s happening. Even got rid of the question and answer period … It seems like we don’t care about the people. It’s all about control, right now, and that’s how, and it’s turning that way in a lot of municipalities as well. They follow along.

Lisa says her high point as a city councilor “would have to be just standing my ground, staying with my morals and my integrity, you know, fighting as hard as I can for the people, even if I’m not successful. I know that I have done everything that I can thus far to help the people. You know, I give them my personal cell phone numbers, you know, they’re constantly calling me. We email, we text, we do everything, and you know [if] they want help with something, I will help them right away.”

She even had a dumpster moved at a townhouse complex because it was situated near “a couple of restaurants” and the smell of the garbage was overpowering and prevented people from enjoying their meals.

Lisa returns to her inspiration: “we have to get the government out of our lives, just like … Ronald Reagan said: the government is the problem, right? So I want to become the solution, and it’s extremely important at this time that, like, you know, we, we have those fulsome debates … and you know, we haven’t been able to do that. You know, I keep on bringing forward all of these motions forward at the council, and I swear I have brought forward over 30 motions that nobody will even second because they don’t want to have the debate,” she says.

The mayor and council refuse to examine the toxic effects of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies. “I tried to bring forward a notice of motion, so … we could go over and look and see how this DEI has been working for us, like how much wasteful dollars have we spent on DEI, because honestly, in my personal opinion … you don’t hire someone based on the color of their skin or their sexual preference, right?”

Lisa has a national platform and is very concerned that the Liberal government of Prime Minister Mark Carney is also trying to silence her with a slew of legislation aimed to limit and eliminate free speech in Canada as well as surveillance bills that will control the population.

“I’m extremely concerned about that and that’s why I’ve been so fighting so hard for many, many years to try and put a stop to this … I’m a city councilor … I’m at the lowest bottom of the totem pole, right, and hopefully … by October I’ll be mayor, so I’ll be a little bit up the totem pole. But mean I need to get to the top … if I was the prime minister … if I was in [Premier] Doug Ford’s position … none of this would be happening,” she says.

“Free speech is something … that nobody should take away from us … a lot of conservatives are very quiet, they’re they’re afraid to … speak up if somebody starts calling them racist, or they don’t want to speak up in fear of somebody calling them a racist or saying that it’s hate speech,” Lisa says.

“It’s like a lot of people say, ‘Councilor Robinson, I’m behind you 100% but you know what, I can’t back you on social media, I’m not sure if I want to put a sign up on your property, because I’m afraid of what my neighbors think.’”

“That is what these bills, these censorship bills, are going to do. They’re going to make people afraid to speak their mind, afraid to speak their truth and they’re just going to become little shells of themselves, keep their head down, and you know it’s, it’s going to be devastating for society.”

Neil Oliver is one of the first people I ever watched on YouTube. And it had nothing or little to do with politics because his shows were all about archeology and that’s what Neil is most celebrated for. But Neil became more political during the Covid pandemic and governments around the world imposed those tortuous, authoritarian and ultimately unreasonable and completely unscientific mandates.

I consider Neil to be the finest political commentator in the world today and it is an honor to speak with him on a regular basis and to share my thoughts with him on his media and for him to join me on my channel.

So here are some highlights from my interview this week with Neil. You can click on the video at the bottom to watch the whole conversation, which, I promise, you will find very worthwhile.

I spoke to Neil Oliver literally within minutes of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announcing his decision to resign from his office – largely due, he claimed, to the tremendous pushback he was getting from caucus. Neil was amazed that President Donald Trump had actually announced Starmer’s departure about 24 full hours before Starmer had walked out of the front door of his official residence at 10 Downing St. to confirm the rampant rumors. Oliver called that “unprecedented” and demonstrating “arrogance.”

“It was being telegraphed for, you know, hours and days beforehand, that yes, the time had finally come. Well, so it appears Keir Starmer, British Prime Minister, has announced that he’ll be stepping down, that there will be candidates to replace him from, I think, the second week in July the process, the familiar process now of replacing one leader with another will grind into action once again. When you see the big question, how to interpret it, it’s so difficult because my I turned on terrestrial television just to see how the old guard were presenting the news, and my first reaction to that was, it was, you know, the show must go on, you know, that kind of feeling you get when … a production is going on in the middle of an air raid during World War Two, and the actors are all on stage, pluckily delivering their lines and going through the motions, because no matter what, even if the theatre’s on fire, even if the roof has blown off — the show must go on,” Oliver says.

Starmer is the seventh UK prime minister to resign in 10 years – and that’s unprecedented too in a country where leaders usually stay for two elections. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was in power for 11 years even though she was unpopular during her last few. That’s one reason that Oliver maintains it is anything but “business as usual” in Great Britain.

“I think when the Conservative Party lost the last general election, it was more than just a general election. It felt like that political movement had been demolished, had been undone, and I feel as if the credibility now of the labor movement has been undone ... A state media may grind into motion to say, ‘Yes, here we go, another leader, terribly exciting,’ but I think for more and more of the population there’s a sense that … the same groups and interest groups that were behind Keir Starmer … just grind into place behind the next sock puppet. ‘Here’s, here’s what we’re offering: you get with it, you know, get with a program,’ but I think my hunch is that for the for a growing portion of the population, there’s a sense that the political class is just in free-fall, and that it’s no longer up to them. That clearly, we can see more and more of us can see that they are just the actors on the stage, playing, delivering the lines, going through the motions, it’s a very, very interesting time in which to live.”

“Keir Starmer will tell you that he is the quote, ‘the most unpopular, or the least popular British prime minister in modern political history, maybe in political history,’ full stop,” Oliver says, noting that Starmer made himself unpopular very early in his term by terminating the “cold weather subsidy for seniors … turning off the fires of the of granny and grandpa in the depths of winter. If you want to make yourself unpopular, that would be move number one.”

“I used to think, God, what must it be like to wake up in the morning and realize that you’re Keir Starmer before you’ve had so much as a cup of coffee or a cup of tea, you’ve got to confront the reality that I am Keir Starmer,” Oliver quips.

It was always a mystery to me why it was “Sir” Keir Starmer. What did this pudgy prosecutor ever do to earn a knighthood? Neil reminds me that as head of the Crown Prosecution Service, Starmer has given Sir Jimmy Saville, career sexual predator and pedophile, a pass.

Then Oliver encapsulates the whole bloody, murderous, globalist elites in one pithy, powerful proclamation.

“It’s a disaster. I mean, it’s a disaster, David. It’s a disaster looked at in the round, as we say … how could it possibly have happened organically? The decline and fall of the political class here, all across Europe, in the United States of America, in Canada, all at the same time, you know, largely off the back of whoever is prominent in the spotlight, adhering to and pushing the same ruinous policies, be it net zero or Agenda 2030 or trans or Covid pandemic or war in Ukraine or support for Israel as it commits genocide. You know they’ve all fallen, that the sword that they’ve fallen onto looks like a damn skewer for a kebab. They’re all just on it as well as roasted lumps of meat.”

Keir Starmer will be remembered as “Two-tier Kier” because of the two-tiered justice system and policing that proliferated under his two year reign of terror and people will long note that he literally released murderers and rapists from British prisons so he could find room for all those “keyboard warriors” who got five to six years incarceration for daring to disagree on their social media accounts with Starmer’s mass migration policies.

Oliver says the police have changed.

“I would invite your audience to contemplate the fall of the British police service. You know, it was once upon a time a police service that, and the police were understood by the public and it appeared on the face of it that they themselves understood that they were, that they were acting in the service of the people, at the will of the people. And then this, this weird metamorphosis has taken place, whereby they have become a police force. You know, the United States of America has always had a police force, and force is a laden word, but we always believed, as British citizens, that we had a police service, which is, you know, philosophically and conceptually a different animal,” says Oliver.

“It has now become a general statement that the police are the enemy. Now, in the Britain that I grew up in, that would have been unthinkable.”

And the police were unleashed to limit and freeze freedom of speech.

“You mentioned the thing about people coming out of jail seemingly to make space for social media misbehaviors in prison … you’ll see a figure like 12,000 people investigated or charged every year, and you know, you can analyze … and present the numbers, but it is nonetheless demonstrably the case that there are examples of people having been put in jail for longer for something they’ve put on social media than people charged and convicted at the same time in a different court of taking part in the gang rape of children. Now that’s a fact that people have been handed longer jail sentences for social media misbehavior of whatever sort than people who took part in the gang rape of children,” says Oliver.

Neil maintains that Starmer’s government encouraged division in the UK – I always like to say the United Kingdom is anything but united these days – even though he relished calling his critics and the protesters in the streets names like racist or extremist.

He describes “a wider policy of making the people of Britain enraged about everything, and when it, when it comes to focusing their anger, they are deliberately invited to focus their anger on Muslims or brown people or or gay people or you know that the people are set one one group against another when when in reality the problem I would say is the people, the invisible people above, who like puppeteers are pulling all the strings to make all of this happen.”

Oliver continues: “People are rightly disgusted and furious, and demanding blood for the, for the rape gangs, the grooming gangs. They’re demanding … action be taken here, there, and everywhere. They’re grossly offended by the Israel genocide in Gaza and what’s happening in Lebanon. They’re furious about the war in Ukraine, but the pantomime invites them to place the blame on their neighbors, or people living in that street over there, or people who are that color, or people who go to that place to worship their God.”

Oliver is furious over how “Sophie from Dundee,” the little girl from Scotland who defended herself and her sister from a Bulgarian migrant, has been “used.” She was so afraid to walk the streets that she wielded a an axe and knife and threatened to use these weapons against her attacker.

“She was just used by it, by everyone, really. But I would say that she’s illustrative of what happens. She goes to that question that I’m asking, that if people really put it all together and think, well, you can do that, and the police won’t touch you if you’re, if you’re of that class, if you’re of the Epstein class, if you’re of the whatever, the establishment political class, you can do appalling thing and … you’ll be helped out, you’ll be covered up for,” says Oliver.

“So, once people put it together for themselves that actually the law is not the law, it’s just a stick with which the rich and powerful can arbitrarily beat whoever it is they don’t like at any given moment, for whatever reason, then chaos awaits,” he says.

“What happens in a society when otherwise law-abiding people that just want to go about their business draw the conclusion that if they and their children and their property are to be protected, it’ll have to be by they themselves with, you know, samurai swords?

“That’s not a society.”

Oliver is convinced that whomever replaces Starmer will continue to “lead” the country in the same direction.

“The mechanisms are being put in place to pre-tie the hands of whomever succeeds Keir Starmer to tie that person’s hands to Project Ukraine. All possible bluffs are being attempted to make it appear that whomever occupies 10 Downing Street next will have no option but to continue to seek war with Russia, like even if Ukraine is no longer in the picture, whatever happens to Ukraine and whatever happens with that particular conflict, that Europe is determined to perpetuate war with Russia,” he says.

“We know it’s because the economies are having nothing to fall back on but perpetual war … especially the United States of America … the EU [European Union], which is bankrupt, needs to be on a war footing with somebody in order to print its money and and perpetuate its various Ponzi schemes, and you know, so that all the usual suspects make the usual money. It’s they need a war with someone, and it’s what’s been nominated is war with is war with Russia.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is embattled and – as much as I loathe using cliches – is between a rock and a hard place. Smith is trying to appease federalist voters at the same time as she is trying to satisfy Albertans who want independence for their province. The latter group just happens to comprise a sizable majority of the membership and voters of her United Conservative Party.

So when I last interviewed her, of course I asked about that contradiction – leading a federalist party that is now dominated by separatists – but I also wanted to know if she was still a true believer in her memorandum of understanding with Prime Minister Mark Carney. Does she really believe a pipeline will result from this incredible political and personal gamble she is making on trusting a man that for most Conservatives is no better than former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Because if the pipeline doesn’t emerge from this agreement, there might be little other political capital to gain from this exchange. Jeff Rath, the legal counsel for the Alberta Prosperity Project, had some interesting news for me when I last interviewed him – that Carney’s industrial carbon tax is adding $10 to the price of Alberta oil and is already costing the province energy projects.

Although Smith clearly believes the pipeline is not just a pipe dream, as Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre has called it, she is definitely emphasizing other aspects of her contract with Carney and even suggesting it has stopped “the woke agenda” of Trudeau and his extremist environment minister, Steven Guilbeault, who first resigned from the Carney cabinet and then announced he was leaving politics.

And as much as I want this to work out for Danielle because I think she’s the best damn premier in Canada and she has done some outstanding work to advance the conservative cause — not the least of which is her commitment to protect children from genital mutilation and to take the “Pride” flag out of the classrooms of Alberta — I think she is wrong in her contract with Carney, whom I believe cannot be trusted and is actually a worse prime minister than Trudeau.

“I know everyone is focused on the single pipeline, but that wasn’t the full extent of what the MOU is about. The MOU was to address nine terrible policies from the Trudeau/Guilbeault/NDP era. Remember the NDP were propping up the Liberals and pushing this agenda to keep it in the ground, right along with them, all of the woke agenda, all the direction that we’ve gone on in the last 10 years of safe supply and revolving a door of criminals going through our justice system and the keep it in the ground narrative – all of that has come from that that partnership, so I’m glad to see Guilbeault is gone – and that should tell you something, that he determined that we were unwinding a lot of his legacy, and I’m very proud to say that we had a very large role in that, because I think he did the most to damage unity of any politician,” Smith told me.

But Jeff Rath says the MOU has already done damage to the Alberta energy sector that most people are not even aware of.

“Well, I want to thank you first of all for doing that interview and basically creating so many static targets for us to fire on … I went through it for the second time and took notes. I mean, there’s so many things that [Smith] said that were just patently false, completely untrue things that she knew were outright lies. And I’ll go through them in detail. I mean, one of the big whoppers, right off the bat, is she’s talking about her vision of Alberta sovereignty within a united Canada, right? And you know that she’s going to stop Canada - this is an exact quote - ‘bossing Alberta around.’ Well, how is telling Alberta that there are quote unquote ‘preconditions for a West Coast pipeline’ [not bossing Alberta around]? And you know, telling Alberta that they’re going to have to raise their carbon tax, 600% forcing Alberta industry to invest in decarbonization. You know, how is that not bossing Alberta around within our own areas of jurisdiction?” Rath said.

“So there’s Danielle pretending that somehow or other she’s standing up for Alberta, when really she just completely capitulated, and people in the oil and gas industry, who I speak with on a regular basis are livid over how badly she was played, how badly she was out-negotiated and how badly she has screwed the oil and gas industry in Alberta,” Rath continued.

“And I’ll give you an example. Recently … they were looking at a $10 billion Pearl Lake mine expansion. Okay, so what ends up happening? They are told that, ‘okay, well, if you want to do a $10 billion mine expansion, you’re also going to have to invest $10 billion into decarbonization.’”

Rath says the management took one look at that and said, “[We’d] like to expand our mine [but if] you’re just going to arbitrarily double our capital expenditure costs, we’re not doing it. So they quietly shoved the project.”

“They were trying to get an expansion done to link their two main mine sites. All of the red tape with the federal government major projects office, all of the rules that GBO put in place, they’re still there. Nobody can do a major mine expansion in Alberta because of all of the red tape and the regulations and now on top of it, if they do a major expansion, they’re literally having to match their capex on the mine development dollar for dollar with decarbonization costs through the pathway project,” said Rath.

“It’s really, really confusing to a lot of us that is [Smith] really that naive, or … completely advised by people that are complete idiots and I actually suspect that it’s the latter. Like, a couple weeks ago … I get a call from a guy by the name of Larry Kaumeyer — he’s the deputy minister of energy for Alberta, and I didn’t recognize the number on my phone.

Rath explained that the caller identified himself as Larry Kaumeyer and that he indicated his position with the province. He then said that an X post that Rath had written about the MOU adding $10 a barrel to the cost of production in Alberta was wrong.

Rath responded that he had he had obtained “those numbers directly from a CEO who got them directly from his production accountants, and you know this guy’s a pretty good operator, so I think he knows his numbers.”

Rath said that Kaumeyer indicated the cost would be lower.

“So, I said, ‘Well, I’ll tell you what. Why don’t you send me your numbers, right? I’ll send them to the CEO that I was talking to, and then he can contact you, and the two of you can talk.’ And I said, ‘I’m sure you know him, right? So, you guys just talk and work it out.’ But I said nobody I’ve spoken to in the business, any company – and I’ve spoken to three or four different CEOs – nobody thinks that the MOU is not going to add at least $10 a barrel to the cost of production in Alberta.”

Rath says he then learned from an oil executive that Kaumeyer’s background was “not even an oil and gas guy … He used to be the executive director of Ducks Unlimited … and [Smith] made him the deputy minister of energy.”

I confirmed the veracity of that observation.

Rath maintained that “people in the industry are going like, ‘What the hell? Like, you negotiated a deal that has literally 500 billion to a trillion dollars in economic implications for Alberta in terms of the overhang over our industry, and now you’re telling us you didn’t know what you signed.”

The lawyer said the irony of the MOU is that even though it promises a pipeline for Alberta, the crushing government burdens in the agreement are working against the reification of that goal.

“So, I mean, people in Alberta that I know on the oil and gas side are livid over this … West Coast pipeline thing: like there’s no way in hell anybody’s going to even invest in pipeline design as long as the West Coast tanker ban’s in place, right? I mean, why would you spend five or $10 million designing a pipeline or a pipeline route when you can’t offload the oil at the other end, because it’s against federal law?”

That’s a very good question, Jeff.

And it makes me think that Danielle might have been conned by Carney.

After all, Carney always likes to say that he understands “the real world.”

Unfortunately that world is not the best world for Alberta or its energy sector.

Even if Steven Guilbeault has left the building.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has done it again. He’s out there promising Canadians that artificial intelligence (AI) won’t make your job vanish. Throw a steak into den of ravenous lions and it will disappear as fast as jobs will when AI proceeds along the course it has been designed for: to replace humanity. But we’re talking about this dystopic phenomenon as if it’s something that will someday occur — when it’s already happening. Right now. Today. Before our eyes.

Actually, it’s the latest wave in the war on agriculture and the Carney government’s desire to expropriate private property for the “public good.”

It’s evil.

So don’t be a fool and believe Carney when he tells you that AI will only make your life better and employment won’t be affected. Even when AI advocates admit that some trades will be affected by the growth of AI, they suggest that there will be other jobs. Really? As janitors at the data collection centers (DCC) that are gobbling up farm land, devouring energy and sucking up water?

Carney needs to admit the truth: AI is going to displace a lot of people. Then he can start selling the concept of a guaranteed annual income that will be enough to keep the population inert, placid and stoned while society marches on without them. And Carney will expect you to thank him for the Brave New World he has helped create.

Carney said:

“It’s not just what we build, it’s how we build. We’ll build sustainably, linking new data center development with expanding clean energy and robust environmental standards. We’ll build inclusively in full partnership with indigenous peoples. As I said, we’ll support Indigenous led AI research leveraging programs from Canadian Heritage, the National Research Council, and industry partners. And we will build in solidarity with Canadian workers, unions, and post-secondary institutions.”

Sounds so simple, doesn’t it? Listen to Carney talk about building these centers operating “sustainably,” in “full partnership with Indigenous peoples,” and “in solidarity with Canadian workers and unions.” Absolute nonsense. Unions won’t have real say. Most Indigenous communities won’t either. This is the same script every time: sound caring, push the agenda anyway. They don’t care about consultation or your rights.

He’s lying like a cheating husband.

It’s a steamroller and it’s coming down.

As YouTuber Matt Ross recently explained, it seems like “Everything in Canada is a ripoff. It doesn’t matter if it comes to housing prices or rent, the cost of food, taxes, the education that you’re given, the degrees that you get, all ripoffs.”

The AI data collection centers (DCC) seem to be just one more ripoff.

It’s the next wave of the war on agriculture. It’s the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on steroids.

DCC house rows of servers for storing, processing, and transmitting vast amounts of information. They feature heavy security, minimal windows, and enormous cooling needs.

The United States’ International Energy Agency reports that a single large facility can consume electricity equivalent to powering 400,000 electric vehicles. Tech giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have announced plans to tap nuclear energy, wind, and solar farms, yet most facilities today in both the United States and also Canada still rely heavily on fossil fuel-powered grids.

The super DCC being built will require in an insatiable amount of water and energy. YOU are not a mere observer in this, you and your family are actually competitors for these same resources.

It brings to mind the Matrix movie, doesn’t it?

DATA CENTERS IN YOUR BACKYARD?

Carney wants these massive DCC popping up from BC to Quebec, right in people’s backyards. He swears there’s no environmental risk — that since his government is proposing it they are and will be “sustainable.”

That’s pure BS. These things are being rushed through without proper assessments, sucking up insane amounts of electricity, energy, and water. They’re taking over huge swaths of agricultural land because Carney and his globalist friends say it’s good for us.

Remember how environmental assessments used to be in Canada? You couldn’t build a bridge if a single endangered fish was affected. Now we’re waving through these monsters like it’s nothing. Carney and the other green globalists must surely be roaring with laughter as they suddenly declare that the environment doesn’t matter that much. This isn’t about progress — it’s a corporate takeover of Canada. The big tech companies worth hundreds of billions get richer, and we the taxpayers foot the bill while they collect our data and hand it over to government and police whenever they ask.

They’re playing us for fools in every way possible. In Canada, up until now, it has been climate change hysteria — wildfires every summer, cut your emissions, stop driving, stop flying.

Billionaires and governments that once preached climate catastrophe now fast-track resource-devouring projects. Defence advocates warn of China while erecting domestic surveillance infrastructure that could be used to surveil us, just like they do in China. So the irony is that while we are supposedly building more DCC to keep pace with China, we are becoming more like China.

And we in the West are way ahead of China in the number of these centers constructed or planned for construction. But more about that later.

Now the UN scientists (2.2.2. Quote (context on scenarios and modeling for AR7) have quietly admitted it’s not catastrophic (GB News) after all, and suddenly the panic disappears.

Why?

Because they’ve moved on to the next phase: DCC everywhere. Former so-called global warming catastrophe has been put to the side because of REAL global warming that will be caused by all these mega data collection centers if they proceed.

Don’t worry about the environment anymore. Just hand over your land, your power, and your privacy.

Even Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew is asking the right questions: Where’s the benefit for the people? Now you might criticize me for endorsing the position of a New Democratic Party premier but I’ll point to that well-worn aphorism that even a broken clock is right twice a day.

This is not based on right and left politics; it is being driven by the Uniparty that lately seems delusional pushing pure propaganda more aligned with George Orwell’s 1984 fiction then any sort of reality.

How do we afford this? How do we power it when we already struggle? How do we allow these super DCC to take and pollute our water at an unheard-of scale.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — this is the globalist agenda in full swing. Carney, the big tech crowd, and plenty of others don’t give a damn about your autonomy or human rights. They’ll do anything to advance their control and make another billion.

We’re being played. The question is whether enough Canadians and Americans will wake up before the steamroller flattens everything in its path.

I’m not holding my breath, but I’m sure as hell going to keep calling it out.

Once you begin the research on these DCC you will find that we don’t have the energy resources to make this work.

We’re going to have burnouts in the summer and we’re going to have loss of heat in the winter because these structures are going to demand so much energy.

INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH BACKS THE SKEPTICISM REGARDING THE MEGA DATA COLLECTION CENTER TOLL ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Authoritative studies paint a sobering picture:

• Lawrence Berkeley National Lab projects data centers could consume up to 12% of all U.S. electricity by 2028.

• MIT found that 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing” (Fortune, August 18, 2025) after $30–40 billion in spending on generative AI, 95% of organizations saw “no measurable return on investment.”

• UC Riverside and Caltech researchers warned “without new water efficiencies, U.S. data centers could require 697 million to 1.45 billion gallons of additional peak water capacity per day by 2030 — roughly equal to New York City’s typical daily water supply of about 1 billion gallons. “Data center water spikes could cost billions. Study recommends technology companies expand water capacity to offset their use and preserve community supplies”

Yet governments across the western world, including Canada are demanding more mammoth DCC march forward without public consultation and environmental assessments. When asked why, politicians and the data collection center billionaires generally move to the old Cold War “China, China, China” talking points.

It’s happening. We’re in a cold war arms race again.

THE AI ARMS RACE MYTH

Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, recently highlighted how worried he and his billionaire oligarchs are about the DCC being protected after they are built.

“Now because of drone warfare, we have to relook at all forms of security... one of my concerns is could it be domestic terrorism using a $3,000 drone? So all of these things are actually opportunities not problems.”

“We have to relook at everything because of the role of drone warfare.”

He links this to a local domestic threat, not foreign.

The DCC and AI have become so unpopular that college grads were all simultaneously booing anyone how brought up AI at their graduation ceremonies this spring.

According to Goldman Sachs in March 2026 AI is projected to displace or significantly disrupt hundreds of millions of jobs globally and in the United States.

Tucker Carlson recently interviewed the Wonder Valley data center investor Kevin O’Leary on the disappearing jobs: “What are those millions of new jobs?”

Proponents promise construction jobs and tech maintenance roles. Critics see something darker. AI threatens white-collar professions—lawyers, financial planners—while gains concentrate among elites at firms like BlackRock and Palantir and Brookfield.

Jobs on the chopping block are anticipated to include: software engineers / coders, car and truck drivers, research analysts, paralegals, factory or warehouse workers, financial traders, graphic designers and much, much more.

AI could realistically reduced the population of the world to servitude.

Research shows that currently they are hiring gig workers to input large amount of plagiarized data into the AI to “teach” it to do the things humans now do. A lot of construction jobs are temporarily created to build the DCC and after they are built there will be many maintenance or janitorial jobs will abound after the DCC are complete to take care of miles and miles of computer data machines.

Charming.

Yet, it was a mystery to the commencement speakers, two of which you can watch below, why students, who are now thousands of dollars in debt after paying for diplomas, would be upset about having no job prospects thanks to AI?

Fink also made clear who would fund and control much of this buildout, that pensions, savings and retirement funds would be used:

“If we don’t invest in it, China will be the global leader in this, and so to me, it’s not whether it, this is a must, and if you think about how that translates, it translates into a more dynamic economy. We need the United States economy to grow it over over 2% we need the US economy to grow at 3% especially with the growing deficits the federal government has, and so much of this money, not just the projects, is going to be coming from the private sector, from savings accounts, from pension accounts, from insurance companies, on and on and on. The whole world is in need of improving the infrastructure.”

And through it all is the yearning for a new arms race with the language of Cold War propaganda pitting us against communist China. But just like there was no “missile gap” with the Soviet Union in 1960, the West is way ahead of China in the production of DCC.

Hakeem Anwar founder and CEO Above Phone, a privacy-first technology company that develops devices and communication services aimed at enhancing user privacy, who recently appeared on Redacted agrees this is a new Cold War. Anwar says:

“We’re living through another cold war. It’s not just Kevin [O’Leary] saying this, it’s also Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, who has said, “Hey, China is only eight months behind us in Frontier AI and Anthropic.”

The numbers, however, don’t lie. The United States is way ahead, Germany second, UK third, then China — who has less than one-tenth of America’s DCC— and Canada trailing just behind that. China’s even backing away because most of theirs are sitting idle.

Canada is already, before the NEW Carney AI collection center build outs announcement, within the top 5 of countries with the most physical data centers.

At this point in time, here is the Top 10 countries by number of data centers above, we have researched and found. Canada is within the top 5, immediately following China.

1. United States: 5,381

2. Germany: 521

3. United Kingdom: 514

4. China: 449

5. Canada: 336

France and other countries in Europe and even Russia are reportedly below Canada in data center build outs.

Here is another graph of the same thing showing from Statista and Cloudscene that clearly shows the United States currently has 83% more DCC than China. If you add the data collection center numbers up from the other four countries within the top 5, including China — 1,838 — THEY do not equal the number of DCC the USA currently has before new builds.

This is an arms race built on fiction. Just like the last one.

Hakeem Anwar explains how putting all our resources into AI is a fool’s game, because he says China’s AI boom has already gone bust. He says:

“It’s very, very shortsighted. China has already gone through this boom. They’ve tried to build their data centers, and now in 2025 local Chinese outlets are reporting that 80% of the data centers in China.

“They are sitting completely idle, they don’t even have a customer, so how do we expect in America that we’re going to fill these data centers when more people in China are using AI and robotics [than the USA]?”

Evidence of the China having over built their DCC and their centers now being empty is available everywhere (Half of AI data centers are delayed and canceled, desperate for Chinese electrical gear and China massively overbuilds empty AI data centers)

This isn’t about beating China.

It’s about control and expropriating land from regular Canadians. We will prove this with receipts.

THE RISE OF AI SURVEILLANCE CENTER: BIG TECH’S LAND GRAB AND THE THREAT TO FREEDOM

So, welcome to the new era of what proponents call data collection centers but what many increasingly view as surveillance hubs—facilities that consume staggering amounts of energy, water, and land while promising to power artificial intelligence and economic growth. More on that later.

This is also obviously about making people at BlackRock, Palantir OpenAI, Anthropic, and Mark Carney’s former company, Brookfield, richer than they ever imagined. Turning billionaires into trillionaires. And, as I write this, Elon Musk, the ideologically mercurial owners of SpaceX, X and Tesla has just become the world’s first trillionaire.

Is this just a pump and dump scheme with circular financing using taxes in Canada and the United States to push the AI and data collection center stocks even higher?

And through this DCC over build we’re actually watching the military industrial complex be replaced by a surveillance industrial complex — right before our very eyes?

THE CANADIAN BILLIONAIRE’S UTAH DESERT DREAM

Kevin O’Leary’s proposed data collection center in Utah is a desert dream. Billionaire O’Leary convinced three Utah county officials to unanimously approve his Wonder Valley massive 9-gigawatt AI DCC—larger than the state’s entire electricity demand—by warning that the Chinese will beat us if they didn’t build it (disinformation campaign disproved with numbers above).

There was no public environmental impact study, no independent engineering review, and no completed water plan before the vote. Hundreds of residents packed the room shouting “shame” and “people over profits,” turning the approval into what felt like a public revolt.

O’Leary — better known as “Mr. Wonderful” from Shark Tank and “Mr. Disappointment” from his failed Conservative Party of Canada leadership bid —pushed this project which is so large it would stretch half a mile wide, some claim the size of the Utah DCC is comparable in scale to the distance from Seattle to Portland.

When county commissioners approved it 3-0, the townhall meeting erupted. Officials told attendees to “grow up” before retreating to a private room to finalize the deal while citizens watched via livestream.

O’Leary claims the opposition to his Utah DCC center is coming from China, but this is obviously not true when you see the locals who are protesting. The two young local organizers O’Leary claims are Chinese made a video that went viral on social media where they made fun of the billionaire’s flip-flop footwear.

Developers for the Utah Wonder Valley proposal claim the project would use less water than ranching with closed-loop cooling. With statements like this O’Leary paints a rosy picture: private landowners willingly sell or lease 40,000 acres (twice Manhattan’s size) for projects like the one eyed in Utah’s Box Elder County they claim will create 2,000 jobs and on TV he claimed the energy is coming from solar, wind, and batteries even though the official agreement specifies 100% natural gas.

At one time, O’Leary would have acknowledged that solar and wind energy cannot power a modern industrial economy.

The contradictions are glaring.

THE LOCAL REBELLION IN UTAH BASED ON REAL FACTS

O’Leary pitched Wonder Valley as Utah’s biggest project since the transcontinental railroad.

But local physicist Dr. Robert Davies, a NASA-experienced atmospheric scientist, ran the numbers from the developer’s own filings. Davies called the Wonder Valley’s proposal physically impossible—97% more efficient than the world’s best natural gas plant. Nearly 2,300 residents filed formal protests. Three days after approval, the developer withdrew the water application.

Davies stated: ”This is the energy output of two and a half New York cities poured into a single confined desert basin in a watershed that’s already in crisis.” His analysis, reviewed by a Brigham Young University ecology professor, predicted daytime temperatures rising 2–5°F and nighttime jumps of 8–12°F permanently, fundamentally altering the local microclimate.

The DCC, plus its on-site natural gas plant, would dump continuous heat into a closed desert valley—equivalent to “23 Hiroshima bombs” of thermal energy every single day for 30 years.

THE GLOBALIST THREAD: BILL GATES, BROOKFIELD, AND CARNEY

Bill Gates’ extensive farmland purchases across the US raise further questions. While promoting insect-based diets for the masses, Gates secures prime agricultural land. He has purchased 275,000 acres of farmland across the United States according to the Land Report.

The tech and globalist oligarchs now need the land for these data collection centers.

Brookfield also owns a very large real estate portfolio around the world.

Is this just a gargantuan coincidence?

Is there a connection between these billionaires and private equity entities thirst for land acquisitions and these DCC?

The data collection centers in many ways should be viewed as the next wave of a globalist takeover following climate alarmism, pandemic overreach (which continue with Ebola, the bird flu and hantavirus), never ending wars, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) war on farmers that became acutely obvious in the bitter tragedy at Universal Ostrich Farms.

The current Canadian government fits seamlessly into the pattern. Brookfield’s deep involvement, pension fund participation, and the surveillance align with the broader control ambitions.

IT’S HAPPENING IN CANADA TOO

The data collection centers march on in Canada too.

Even before the prime minister’s announcement pushing a new DCC construction bonanza, Canada already had more than 291 DCC, with aggressive expansion planned in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec.

And of course there is a Brookfield connection.

For any priority that Carney is touting, there will always be a Brookfield connection — Canada’s version of Blackrock, now headquartered in the USA, where Carney was chairman of the board until deciding to go into politics just over a year ago. Much of his investments, held in an eyes wide open “blind trust” are believed to be imbedded in Brookfield.

Brookfield Asset Management has a $3 billion-plus North American DCC expansion plan that funnels pension money into these projects through its Compass Data Centers (co-owned with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan), sits at the center. Reportedly Compass and Brookfield have 4 DCC operating or being expanded in Toronto, Montreal, and Alberta areas.

Brookfield reports:

“Brookfield develops and operates data centers on multiple continents through several major platforms, including Compass [Canada] and Data4 [France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Greece]. Together, these businesses support more than 1.6 GW of contracted capacity and over 3.5 GW of development potential.”

MOOSE JAW’S SNOWBIRDS CANCELLED, NEW DATA CENTERS MARCHING FORWARD

One example of where a new DCC build is going up is in Moose Jaw, SK — home of 15 Wing and the famous Snowbirds aerobatic team — 431 Air Demonstration Squadron. The community has been chosen as the site of the $485 million Carper Valley “wellness centers” project, marketed as merging AI, care, and sustainability right beside the military base.

Moosejaw is apparently not big enough for a DCC and the Snowbirds squadron because the Carney government recently announced it was grounding the team until at least the early 2030s. Don’t expect to see them fly again, at least under a Liberal regime.

The Department of National Defence claims the decision is based on the retirement of the Tutor jet that the Snowbirds fly. But a replacement aircraft could easily be procured tomorrow if the federal government really wanted to keep this symbol of Canada in the air and continuing to delight crowds of aviation enthusiasts around the world.

Energy realities remain stark in Saskatchewan for this proposed build as it lacks nuclear reactors and hydro.

Where are they going to get the extra power?

Yet, like Moose Jaw, an alarming number of more DCC projects continue to march forward with little apparent concern for obvious water scarcity or electrical grid capacity. Many times environmental assessments and normal processes such as townhall meetings with the public are being sidestepped.

PROPOSED DATA CENTER EXPANSIONS IN CANADA

In the segment above, we have captured the DCC they exist and the new expansions we could find. MORE new data centers are going up in Canada than are on this list. Now that Carney has announced an incentive program we can expect the grift to escalate quickly.

GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA PROPOSED DATA CENTER

Wonder Valley (O’Leary Ventures) data collection center’s $70 billion development proposal is located in the Municipal District of Greenview (Greenview Industrial Gateway), northwestern Alberta. 25 miles south of Grande Prairie. The surrounding Municipal District of Greenview itself is very rural with only about 9,500 residents spread over a huge area

When announced a year-and-a-half ago alongside municipal and provincial representatives, company representatives described the project as “the world’s largest AI Data Center Industrial Park.” It is a massive AI DCC up to up to 7.5 to 9 GW is planned to be phased in over 5-10 years); massive AI park with natural gas/geothermal on thousands of acres. Again, the claim is it will be off grid using natural gas and geothermal resources. Phase 1 includes building of a $2 billion power plant.

The Wonder Valley proponents estimate the facility will use about 24 million cubic meters of water annually — the equivalent of roughly 460,000 people’s lifetime consumption. That’s roughly seven times the amount of electricity generated by the Site C dam in northern BC.

The aggressive schedule is now significantly behind even though the Alberta Conservative government scrapped environmental assessments for O’Leary’s proposal in 2026 based on it being “not a mandatory activity for the purposes of environmental assessment” because the project plans to use “standard proven power and water systems” already common in Alberta.

Only in June did they have a consultation. At the recent event, Gloria Jaycox, a longtime Grande Prairie resident, was disappointed saying there was little to no opportunity for questions. She told CBC she would have preferred a traditional town hall format with speakers and opportunities for questions to be answered in front of a full audience. “I thought they did the event for their benefit, not the community,” Jaycox told CBC News.

OLDS, ALBERTA PROPOSED DATA CENTER

In rural Alberta, there is also a $10 billion Synapse DCC being proposed for the Olds area, a massive $10-billion AI DCC in Olds with a population of 9,700). The proposed DCC consisting of ten 100 MW buildings on farmland site near residential areas and Olds College that will include a 1.4 GW natural gas power plant (the second largest in Alberta) to supply all electricity — equivalent to the entire daily power demand of the city of Edmonton.

The Narwahl in February reported that the residents of Olds, Alta., had questions about air and water pollution. They first learned of the proposal in late January. At the time of the article residents told the Narwahl that “Many of those questions remain unanswered, even as the company races towards its goal to get permits in place and begin construction in March.”

The project still today in June remains in the proposed/regulatory approval stage, so things are not moving forward as fast as they wanted.

The initial application to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) for the 1.4 GW natural gas power plant was rejected in early March 2026 due to significant deficiencies (including inadequate public consultation). Synapse resubmitted a revised application in early April 2026.

As of the latest updates, the project is still awaiting full regulatory approvals from the AUC, Alberta Environment, and other bodies.

• A $10-billion AI data center races ahead in a rural Alberta town, population 9,679 — The Narwhal.

VULCAN, ALBERTA PROPOSED DATA CENTER

The Vulcan Palliser Grid proposed data collection center is smaller than projects like Wonder Valley or Olds but has also generated local debate over farmland loss, water use, and community impacts. It allegedly is being proposed by local farmer Eric Steeves through Palliser Grid where they are promoting the project as “low-carbon AI, owned by Alberta farmers.” The plan will use 850 acres rezoning it from rural general to rural industrial starting with an initial 400 MW AI DCC with potential to scale to 800–1,000 MW.

There was a scheduled zoning meeting June 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Champion Community Hall, 106 2nd Street North, Champion, Alberta.

The area they are looking to re-zone is right by Little Bow river. It is a re recreational area with year-round residents and a beautiful lake. The DCC will encroach on the lake as well as some protected land. It will draw water from Travers Reservoir. Concerns are being raised by nearby Little Bow Resort residents about noise, traffic, electricity reliability, and impacts on the quiet cottage community.

WINIPEG, MANITOBA PROPOSED DATA CENTER

The Winnipeg, Manitoba DCC experience has been very different. This is one place where these facilities have NOT marched on — for now.

Currently, according to recent media reports it has been cancelled by Premier Kinew and it provides a template of how citizens can stand up and have a say in the construction of these DCC in their neighborhoods.

The proposed Winnipeg large hyperscale AI DCC center on 350-acre site,10 miles south of Winnipeg, farmland north of Île-des-Chênes (IDC) in the rural municipality of Ritchot, south of Winnipeg.

The massive hyperscale proposed DCC there was led by Jet.AI out of Las Vegas-based which are partnered with Vancouver-based Consensus Core. Convergence Compute was created with a mandate to develop at least two major AI DCC in Canada. The project was described as “a large-scale development designed to meet rising North American demand for AI and high-density compute.”

Interest in these Canadian DCC they say is coming in from hyperscale tenants looking for space in which to produce AI-related services on a massive scale.

Kinew rejected the project on June 4, 2026, citing minimal long-term economic benefits, while impacting people, environment, doubting the sustainability of these mammoth DCC.

The energy source they planned to tap into was from the low-cost energy connections from Manitoba Hydro substation and the TC Energy pipeline running beneath the ground just south.

A local resident, Christie Little started a petition on change.org to stop the Manitoba DCC. The online petition ballooned to 13,000 signatures. Little says about the premier’s decision to stop the project:

“I was completely shocked and I mean, a very happy shocked. I was surprised that it had happened so quickly and that he had said no.”

Jet.AI and Vancouver-based Consensus Core, however, have not given up. According to reports Consensus Core CEO Wayne Lloyd said they plan to continue with “robust engagement” with Ile des Chênes and the province to ensure their plan eventually goes forward.

THE AI DATA CENTER BOOM DEFIES PHYSICS: WATER CLAIMS THAT DON’T ADD UP

Jovan Een, an electronics engineer who is on YouTube explains how the DCC build outs are not based on reality of resources and supplies actually available.

“The AI data center boom does not survive basic physics. What’s being pitched right now, not just by Kevin O’Leary, but by every hyperscale in the country, is delusional on a scale that most people do not quite understand.

“The physics doesn’t survive the timeline that’s being sold to us.

“The [micro] chips don’t exist in the quantity the buildout requires.

“The financing is going in circles, and the moat that justifies the whole trillion dollar spin just got blown up by a Chinese company charging eight times less for the same exact thing.

“The strange part is that the people running the buildouts, the CEOs whose stock prices depend on it continuing, have already started quietly admitting most of that on record.”

Enter geologist and climate-change skeptic Tony Heller on the Jimmy Dore Show, who also isn’t buying the sales pitch. Heller, long a foe of climate alarmism, now warns people about actually threats to the climate. Whether these DCC are surveillance fortresses or just overbuilt vanity projects, one thing’s clear: the desert isn’t an infinite server farm, and pretending otherwise is less innovation than old-fashioned hubris dressed up in greenwashing.

Heller also calls the model fundamentally flawed from the start—centralized mega-centers in arid zones destined to flop against China’s approach of distributed computing fed by a massive fiber network and excess electricity from hundreds of new coal plants (plus nuclear).

“There’s been studies done of existing DCC that are much smaller than this one and they show that there’s a heat island effect which affects about 1° C at 10 km and about 10° C at 1 kilometer,” he notes, arguing promoters are understating the local impacts, especially near towns like Cheyenne.

On water rights in the midst of historic Western drought, with Lake Mead drying and 1922 compacts based on fantasy hydrology, Heller says those rights “may have water rights now [but] doesn’t mean that these water rights are going to be theirs six months from now.”

Regarding on-site power generation Heller agrees with other experts. He says:

“That’s a total ruse. First of all, the fact that they’re generating the power on site greatly increases the amount of heat which they’re creating... they’re creating pollution with all these on-site gas turbines... when they hugely increase the amount of power being used, that means they’re making a lot of competition for natural gas, which is going to raise everybody’s energy prices.”

LAND GRABS AND LOCAL RESISTANCE IN THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES

Like Canada, these DCC are going up all over the USA with many rural citizens now fighting eminent domain and expropriation by the DCC and power companies.

Maps of existing and proposed U.S. DCC show heavy concentration in southern and southwestern states—Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, and beyond. More than 1,500 centers currently operate or are in development, with plans for nearly 1,000 more. Rural communities bear the brunt.

The USA is a year or two further into the DCC boom than Canada. In Georgia, residents watched homes bulldozed under eminent domain for power lines feeding DCC.

Residents living beside these facilities feel powerless. One Georgia woman posted her plight on social media stating: “You really feel like you are up against this huge wall that you can’t penetrate. There’s nothing that you can do and they don’t care.

Rachel Mask from Georgia shared her story:

“This is my porch and this is my backyard and this is the site of the new Georgia Power Transmission line. They will be taking a third of our 2-acre property... It directly connects to the data center... Yet they continue to tell us that this project is for the public good.”

Beverly Morris lives 400 yards from Meta’s DCC in Newton County, Georgia. In the video she shows brown sludge sediment-filled water from her faucet filling storage tanks used to flush toilets, saying:

“So you can see the sediment from the data center. Wow and that’s just from the water coming out of your faucet.”

Projects like Stargate in Texas ($500B) and Meta’s Hyperion in Louisiana are pushing total commitments toward $1.5 trillion in just a few years—far outpacing historical megaprojects like the Apollo space program that took humanity to the moon or the USA’s interstate highway system which is now like all western democracies falling into disrepair.

The AI DCC builds march on even as the AI supply chains are breaking: gas turbines have multi-year backlogs, advanced chip packaging is sold out through 2026, and high-bandwidth memory supply can’t keep up. Many DCC are already resorting to truck-mounted generators and repurposed ship turbines as stopgaps.

IS THE AI BUBBLE ABOUT TO BURST?

Even the tech bro leaders driving the boom are raising red flags.

• “When bubbles happen, smart people get overexcited about a kernel of truth...

  • Are we in a phase where investors as a whole are overexcited about AI? My opinion is yes.” -Sam Altman, Open AI

• OpenAI’s own CFO reportedly urged Altman to slow down because revenue can’t support over $1.4 trillion in infrastructure commitments.

• ”This is kind of an industrial bubble.” - Jeff Bezos, Amazon

• Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon warned that “a lot of capital... will turn out to not deliver returns and “people won’t feel good” when stocks fall.

Over the last week, reports predicting the AI bust are escalating, “the AI boom showed signs of a bubble about to burst,” according to Markets Today.

Add to the mix Elon Musk taking his SpaceX company public in coming weeks which is expected to ignite a “massive selling event triggering big price dislocations across the stock market as investors dump shares to buy SPCX” in order to “raise cash to buy shares could unleash a wave of selling that ripples through the stock market.” The two biggest AI companies, OpenAI and Anthropic are expected to follow Musk in going public in the near future. This plus the oil stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, had the Dow Jones fall 86 points. But Elon Musk is now a trillionaire thanks to this Initial Public Offering (IPO (Elon Musk Will Become the World’s First Trillionaire on June 12th).

But if you look deeper, there are many who are warning that the entire AI and DCC wave has been a grift, racket and a scam.

There are many reports of DCCs in North America being cancelled. According to many stock reports on YouTube, “Data Centers are Being Cancelled, Nvidia is getting cold feet on OPEN AI: The Start of the AI Collapse”, and “50% of AI Data Centers have been Queitly Cancelled or Delayed,”

Many of the DCC in China today are sitting empty. According to Emarketer in May 2025, DCC builds were out of control in China after COVID, but they are now no longer building them at the same rate. “China’s local governments, state-backed firms, and real estate speculators launched over 500 AI DCCs in 2023 and 2024, with over 150 now operational. But reports indicate up to 80% of these newly built computing resources remain unused, per the MIT Technology Review.”

So, the DCC over builds marching forward, is all of this just plain and simple incompetence? Or is this one gigantic stock market manipulation and “rug pull” as many crypto currency scams have been.

Ed Zitron a British American author, journalist, podcaster is one of the most prominent critics of Silicone Valley’s Big Tech, particularly the AI industry and the AI boom. Zitron writes the technology newsletter called “Where’s Your Ed At” is known for sharp, often critical commentary on tech and business.

He claims that “generative AI does not have a business model.” Zitron says the primary AI companies and CEOs like OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Anthropic’s Dario Amodei are “grifting the economy and he believes these Silicone Valley tech bros are “exploiting the ignorance and desperation of a software industry on the decline and it will suck for our markets and our economy. But I think this era is necessary to wash out an era of rot.”

He points out how AI companies like Anthropic and OpenAI have NEVER achieved full-year profitability as of 2026. Both remain heavily unprofitable despite explosive revenue growth as both of these companies push forward to go public.

Zitron further explains how there is no real plan to make these companies profitable, describing them as having no measurable Return on Investment, like any other company. Zitron, a contrarian that could be right, describes this sector colluding with governments and media to prop up their incompetence, boosting stock prices.

Zitron says:

“I have this theory, the era of the business idiot theory. The people running these companies don’t do any work. They have no connection to product, productivity, or production themselves.

“All they know how to do is hire people, fire people, spend money, go to lunch and read emails. That’s really all they do.

“So, they think, “Oh, more AI is good. I don’t do any real work. When I pissed around with it, well, I made an app kind of come out of it.”

“So, if a software engineer uses this more, even more big good.

“These people do not have nuance thought or planning. We’ve got this supposed AI boom that’s mostly coming out of executive incompetence.”

Zitron explains that the corporate media are “incapable of meeting this moment” of what is taking place because they cannot fathom how “someone like [Larry Ellison’s] Oracle, a decades old company, with their first contract was with the CIA…an esteemed entity… could collapse. But the problem is they feel that way, too.”

His critical analysis of Silicone Valley is that they are in a mad sort of growth spree, not based on reality or any balance sheet, with no substance behind it.

“They can’t imagine their own collapse. So, they just think drill baby drill. We’ll just build a bazillion data centers and money will come out…They talk about being innovative and disruptive, but really since like 2018, the tech industry has been stagnant. Software companies are stagnant. Oracle is stagnant. They’ve missed on earnings a ton of times they’re pumping money into AI and selling things cheap as well. Selling compute cheap.”

He warns that normal businesses are already turning their backs on the AI because the more they use the more the technology is not as promised, and the AI price is unaffordable, so now the big AI companies are all reducing their token prices in a sort of fire sale as they sprint to the finish line to take their companies public.

Software startups take a while to pay Zitron explains, but normal businesses don’t work that way, “So what will happen to these DCC projects will be dictated when Oracle stops paying builders … you stop paying a builder, they fold their arms and they’ll stand there and stare at you until one of you dies.”

“Builders won’t work for free.”

ARE DATA CENTERS ALREADY OBSOLETE?

If the AI bubble does burst, then what will companies like Brookfield and Blackrock, governments like the USA under Trump and Canada under Carney do? What will become of our pensions and savings and taxes these private equity companies and governments have foolishly given away without any proof of return on investment?

Reports are now coming out that Jensen Huang the co-founder and CEO of Nvidia claims has developed the new Jetson Nano Super which even runs large language models. The Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit with a software update reportedly delivers better AI performance and only costs $249. It does 70 trillion AI operations per second and apparently does not need these huge DCC, it runs on your own computer.

Above Phone’s Hakeem Anwar explained on the Jimmy Dore Show:

“What you’re seeing right now is why data centers are largely obsolete and we’re not going to need them anymore. But the thing is that people don’t realize is you can start using AI right now. It can run on your local device. It can run on our phones and laptops, too.”

Anwar explains, “This is exactly what China has already learned. Because of all of the limitations and export controls that the US put on China, they had to learn how to be very efficient.”

And so, in China, 600 million people are already using AI with these micro super computers from their homes.

“More people use AI in China than use the internet in the United States, and they do it through local AI services. They’re running AI on their computers, whatever they have around the house. So, absolutely, new products like these are going to replace our reliance for these cloud services.”

In addition to these doubts from critics regarding the actual capabilities of the AI and the compute abilities are now available in our own homes, the technology is also now being outed as too expensive.

What is the true cost of the AI and is it ironically more than the wages for human beings?

“The cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees,” says one headline. Nvidia, the microchip company that is partnered with OpenAI, was even complaining that “AI is more expensive than paying human workers.” Reportedly, Nvidia and Uber blew through their 2026 AI budget in a few short months due to “token usage”. There is also no clear productivity gains through the usage of the AI over humans, which is meaning these big companies are going through a broader rethink among executives about AI as a full replacement for humans.

The big company CEOs are increasingly realizing that their plan to replace employees with AI agents has serious flaws. Once the company is forced to move off their subscription model onto using tokens, they can no longer afford the service. When tokens are depleted, the AI simply stops working with no continuity or adaptability, unlike employees who could troubleshoot issues. Also, companies need to give up all privacy and proprietary confidentiality in order to use the AI.

Shockingly, an unnamed company allegedly spent a half billion dollars on the AI in a single month because there were no limits on employees’ AI usage, resulting in a $500 million bill.

So, if this is not working out the way people thought, and this is a sort of a scam, this AI and the DCC madness will all slow down, right?

The answer is maybe. Maybe not.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and the White House are reportedly in talks about a possible government equity stake in the company and talks are heating up prior to OpenAI going public. The proposal is that OpenAI could donate a portion of its shares to help seed a “Public Wealth Fund.” President Donald Trump on Airforce One described this new sort of economic arrangement like this:

“There are concepts where pieces could be given to the American public, where the American public essentially becomes a partner. The president said he is meeting with AI companies “in the very short, very near future.”

Trump even praised independent socialist Bernie Sanders who came up with this idea first, “As far as economics is concerned, we have certain things that aren’t that far apart,” Trump said.

So, does this AI and DCC bubble march on because the tech bros have made this sort of madness “too big to fail”?

WHY ARE THE BILLIONARES & GOVERNMENTS DOING THIS?

Have our so-called free-market “democracies” become a command economy just like China, where nothing can be learnt from what has already happened, dooming our stock market and economy?

Why do these governments and these billionaires need all this compute power? Especially since the evidence is showing it is not actually needed for the public consumption and also shows the seizure of power and water to make this happen, will be incomparable in human history?

Some say that these massive new DCC which are now clearly being over built are largely a cover story to dramatically expand the surveillance state’s capabilities and cover up a stock market about to implode due to an upcoming rug pull for stock market and AI insiders.

American geopolitical analyst, national security commentator, Brandon Weichert, author, recently commented on Mario Nawfal’s podcast that he believes the AI and DCC push is really an expansion of the surveillance state, growing since 9/11 due to the invocation of the United States’ Patriot Act.

Many of the core USA’s surveillance operations and capabilities, exposed by Edward Snowden in 2013 for which he still remains in Russia for revealing due to ongoing arrest warrants, continue today at the Camp Williams, a Utah National Guard facility near Bluffdale, Utah, though with legal tweaks and modifications.

According to Wikipedia, the Utah Data Center (UDC), also known as the Intelligence Community Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative Data Center, is a data storage facility for the United States Intelligence Community that is designed to store data estimated to be on the order of exabytes or larger. This Utah Data Center—originally nicknamed the Darkstar in early media reports from 2013 after Edward Snowden revealed that phone calls and data of American citizens was being stored and monitored within the United States.

This Utah facility is also known as Bumblehive “stores vast amounts of domestic U.S. data, including incidental collection on Americans that is retained rather than deleted.”

Is this why Kevin O’Leary Wonder Valley America super DCC is REALLY proposed for Utah (allegedly the biggest one in the world)?

Weichert reports that the NSA is “sitting on mountains of data they couldn’t effectively analyze with human analysts, waiting for AI, quantum computing, and advanced cloud power to automatically build detailed digital profiles on every citizen.”

Weichert stated:

“In my view, the new facilities aren’t just for civilian AGI—they’re a backdoor to give the surveillance state the bandwidth and processing power it needs to sift through everything in real time.

“This is heading toward a Minority Report-style world of pre-crime monitoring based on metadata, and we’re already seeing dangerous early examples, like the AI-assisted strike on what turned out to be a school in Iran.

“Ultimately, this isn’t about protecting Americans—it’s about funneling more money to defense contractors and handing unconstitutional power to agencies and politicians in Washington who’ve stopped caring about the people they’re supposed to serve.”

Others like economist Richard Werner from Germany, a former World Economic Forum global leader, thinks the governments of the west are pushing these massive DCC over builds because it is part of the globalist plan to switch everything to digital currency.

Werner recently interviewed by Tucker Carlson explained how western financial systems are heading towards digital control systems, where we the people will no longer control over our liquid assets.

In his interview with Carlson, Werner predicted that only what the central planners allow you to use your money for activities that are approved through a sort of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). “If you’re in the wrong place, it’s not going to work, and if you’re buying the wrong book title, it’s not going to work. I mean, there’s no limit to how much you can fine tune and control.”

Similar to the Chinese system that currently exists.

Werner explains:

“This is what the drive to build all these hundreds, in fact, 1000s of data centers is about it is an organizational challenge to micromanage the world’s population through the new financial world order. But they’re working on solving that. AI is really about that.

Werner goes onto explain that if AI was about helping us to be more productive, as the governments and the promotors claim, then the principle would be decentralization. Not over centralization and over building where the demand is less than what they are building.

And more surveillance is marching forward, here in Canada through legislation on the books, and also in the United States. This is already kicking in with police arresting people for social media posts regarding the DCC upcoming protests — just like the United Kingdom.

A Wired report states that federal agencies in the USA are increasingly using terms like “anti-tech violent extremism” or “anti-tech extremism” in internal intelligence reports to describe opposition to AI and DCC for the public demanding environmental assessments and pointing out the very real DCC toll on human health and resources. Sam Altman the head of OpenAI had his house firebombed recently and Peter Thiel Palantir recently fled to Argentina, speculation as to the reason continues.

The Wired article headline states:

“US Law Enforcement Warns of ‘Anti-Tech Extremism’ as AI Hatred Grows. As Americans stew over the looming risk of job-stealing AI and data centers in their backyards, the feds are raising the alarm about a new category of threat, documents obtained by WIRED show.”

The USA authorities are now monitoring peaceful protests, town hall meetings about local DCC projects, online criticism, and community organizing against new facilities within the counter terrorism category.

A CALL TO RESIST

Although Canada risks swapping real sovereignty for techno feudal dependence on big tech and compliant politicians, resistance is not futile. We are not part of the borg — yet.

Facilities sold as engines of futuristic progress threaten the very energy stability modern society depends on. This is a clear and present existential threat to our freedom because they want to compile data on us and they want to suck up all the energy, take our houses away and make you a vassal of big tech.

The state is working in conjunction with big tech.

Canadians have yet to connect that this is not an abstract threat. It endangers property rights, energy security, food production, and privacy. A direct call went out:

If you are facing a data collection center being constructed in your backyard, if the government is telling you you have to move out of your house... let us know.”

We need to rally to protect Canadian farms, homes, liberty, and the right to a future not dictated by unaccountable elites.

Rural and urban Canadians will both feel the pain through higher costs, lost land, and eroded privacy.

The choice stands stark: submit quietly to the surveillance state or stand on guard by demanding your rights as a citizen.

What you can do if there is DCC going up in your area and you have concerns:

• Talk to your neighbors;

• Share this article that is fully referenced with those in your community;

• Demand from your local government and the proposed DCC a public townhall meeting where you and others can ask questions;

• Demand a full environmental impact assessment;

• Write letters to the local media and your political representatives;

• Start a petition (like Manitoba, link to it above) and make your local politicians aware of the petition;

• Use social media to express your questions and views and to organize; and

• Bell AI center: Six facilities -- Kamloops, Merritt PLUS five other non named locations; part of broader supercluster.

• IREN (Mackenzie): Bitcoin/AI-focused sites. Publicly traded company transitioning from Bitcoin mining to AI/HPC. Mackenzie is a small former lumber town (population ~4,000) that IREN chose for its access to low-cost hydroelectric power from BC Hydro. • eStructure CAL-3 (near Calgary): 90 MW, expected 2026.

• Brookfield/Compass (Keephills site, via TransAlta/CPP partnership): ~230 MW initial, potential scale-up to 1 GW data center campus (power from former coal site).

• Synapse Data Center Inc. (near Olds) is proposing a massive $10-billion AI data (population ~9,700). 1 GW data center consisting of ten 100 MW buildings on farmland site near residential areas and Olds College. 1.4 GW natural gas power plant (the second-largest in Alberta) to supply all electricity — equivalent to the entire daily power demand of the city of Edmonton.

• Palliser Grid AI Data Center (Vulcan County) is proposing an AI data center on ~850 acres of farmland in Vulcan County. Reportedly local farmers are involved in the project. The project would start at 400 MW (with potential to scale to 800–1,000 MW), drawing water from Travers Reservoir. It requires rezoning from rural to industrial use and is currently in the public hearing stage, with local concerns focused on noise, traffic, water use, and impacts on nearby residents and agriculture.

Saskatchewan

• Bell AI Fabric (Regina/Sherwood): 300 MW (Canada’s largest purpose-built AI center); construction starting 2026; tenants include CoreWeave and Cerebras; $1.7B investment.

• Carpere Valley Moore (Moose Jaw): Carpere Canada working with Sask power, 150 MW redevelopment. $485 million investment.

Manitoba

• Jet.AI (Ritchot, Manitoba): Las Vegas-based and Vancouver-based Consensus Core proposed a large hyperscale AI data center on 350-acre site,10 miles south of Winnipeg, farmland north of Île-des-Chênes in the Rural Municipality of Ritchot, south of Winnipeg. Premier Wab Kinew rejected the project on June 4, 2026, citing minimal long-term economic benefits, environmental risks, and doubts about the sustainability of massive hyperscale data centers.

• In addition to this there are 7–9 other data centers near Winnipeg (including Equinix WI1, Manitoba Hydro Telecom, Bell MTS, Les.net facilities, and others). There is 1 in Winkler. And a new Bell Canada AI data center (≈5.5 MW) is under construction in a former food processing plant in Rosser (near Winnipeg) — expected to be one of the larger ones once complete. These are reportedly more traditional facilities focused on storage, telecom, and colocation — not the massive natural-gas-powered hyperscale AI campuses like the rejected Jet.AI project.

Ontario (strong demand, especially Toronto/GTA)

• QScale Toronto Hyperscale: Multi-billion-dollar planned facility. QScale recently bought by Goldman Sachs Alternatives Infrastructure, with prior financing from Desjardins, Scotiabank, Export Development Canada, and others). $320 million financing.

• Yondr Toronto: 27 MW, ready mid-2026. Yondr Group is owned by DigitalBridge and La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) (acquired in July 2025), with a minority stake from Allianz. These large institutional investors provide the primary capital for Yondr’s global developments, including Toronto.

• Compass Data Centers (Brookfield/OTPP-backed): Brookfield Infrastructure Partners + Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (co-controlling owners since 2023 acquisition).4+ hyperscale sites focused in Toronto/GTA and Montreal (via ROOT acquisition); includes existing/expanded campuses (e.g., ~24 MW Toronto facility operational); aggressive growth for hyperscalers with large-scale, sustainable campuses.

• Hut 8: Crypto/AI-focused out of Miami Florida; sites like Iroquois Falls (large MW), Kingston. Hut 8 (publicly traded) in partnership with Macquarie Equipment Finance (via Far North Power Corp for power assets). Sale to TransAlta (announced Nov 17, 2025): The entire 310 MW portfolio was sold for $95 million

• Microsoft Azure (Toronto region): Multiple expansions (e.g., Markham/YTO14, Etobicoke). $19B AI Investment. multi-year, multi-site expansion of Microsoft’s Azure cloud and AI infrastructure across Canada.

• Compass Data Centers (Brookfield/OTPP-backed): Strong presence in Montreal (via ROOT); part of 4+ Canadian sites focused on hyperscale.

STANDING UP AND FIGHTING BACK

This Carney government is encroaching on our freedoms with a perniciousness, zeal and dedication that is truly horrifying in its scope and intensity. The Alto highspeed rail scandal is the most recent example of Carney’s continued war on farmers and landowners as it seeks to expropriate private property while Liberal insiders amass fortunes as they preside over this massive dispossession. We need to support the Ontario Landowners Association in their fight to stop the Alto project just as we stood by Universal Ostrich Farms in their struggle to resist the outrageous overreach of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. We will continue to say “no” to government tyranny — especially when we’re told it’s for our own good.

I’ve been a journalist long enough to know when something doesn’t pass the smell test. This entire Alto project reeks of government corruption.

On June 10, close to 1,000 participants came to Parliament Hill to express their disgust with this corruption. The crowd heard speeches from MPs and Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre.

It has been a while since Poilievre fully embraced conservative activism and protests. During the Freedom Convoy, he was the only prominent Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) MP to visit with the truckers and express his solidarity with their opposition to Covid mandates. After the rule of Liberal lite Erin O’Toole, it was inspiring and satisfying to see Poilievre break from the Red Tory establishment that had taken over the CPC.

Poilievre said at the event:

“We will cancel this $90 billion liberal white elephant, and we will use the savings to put the money back in the pockets of Canadians, so that they can afford food and homes and wonderful futures. That is our Conservative approach. Wouldn’t you rather just take tax off gas, so you can get where you’re going? Wouldn’t you rather reduce the insane inflationary liberal deficit? Wouldn’t you rather see the money go to our healthcare, so that our seniors can be cared for, and wouldn’t you rather keep your own land for yourself?”

It was clear that Poilievre understood what this protest was all about and that he understood the frustration of those who had gathered on the lawn.

ALTO: THE $90 BILLION BOONDOGGLE THAT WILL NEVER BE BUILT

The truly astounding thing about the Alto project is not the $90 billion price tag but that this figure is highly deceptive and not reflective of the final cost — that some estimate could really be double or triple that amount. Actually, this project is so cost prohibitive that it might never be built. The completion date of this railway is at least a decade in the future. Do you really think there won’t be massive cost overruns? This project will just outprice itself and be another “white elephant” government debacle like Mirabel in Montreal, the airport that was completely unnecessary and sits unused today as a testament to government waste.

You know, every once in a while, something comes along that just knocks me over. This Alto highspeed rail project is one of those things. Here we are, drowning in deficits, and the Liberals are dreaming up a $90 billion vanity project that’ll never get built, but will sure as hell expropriate a ton of private property along the way.

I’m telling you, the more people find out about Alto, the clearer it becomes this isn’t nation-building. It’s a land grab wrapped in a press release.

THE LIBERAL SALES PITCH AND THE REALITY CHECK

Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon (L-Gatineau) stood up and declared that this $90 million—sorry, $90 billion—highspeed rail venture “will change life as we know it.” He even acknowledged the service will be inaccessible to most Canadians but insisted it would create “new worlds of intercity travel for some Ontarians and Quebecers.”

Who exactly benefits? Friends of the Liberal Party, that’s who. Because this thing is never getting completed. Not in three years. Not in twelve. The cost overruns alone are going to turn this into a quarter-trillion-dollar punchline. “

A VOTE FOR TRANSPARENCY

MP Eric Duncan (CPC-Stormont—Dundas—Glengarry) has mastered this file and he nailed it in these recent remarks:

“One of the big issues I continue to hear about in our area is the opposition and growing opposition to the $90 billion boondoggle that is the high-speed rail project connecting Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto, circumventing stops in our part of rural eastern Ontario and dividing up land and communities…”

He gave full credit to the Township of North Glengarry, the City of Cornwall, the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, and all the mayors in Prescott-Russell who are standing up and refusing to play ball.

Then came the best part. The United Counties of Prescott Russell refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Eric quoted their strong stance:

“Major infrastructure projects must be transparent, accountable, and respectful of local communities from day one. Our residents deserve to know exactly what is being proposed, how it’s going to affect farmland, property owners, local roads, the environment, and taxpayers before decisions are made behind closed doors, namely expropriations.”

He called it exactly what it is: “This was not a vote against progress. It was a vote for transparency. It was a vote for local autonomy and responsible decision making… Nation building should not be community dividing.”

Godspeed, Eric Duncan. You’re doing the Lord’s work on this one.

THE HOUSE OF COMMONS CIRCUS

The hypocrisy reached peak absurdity in Question Period. Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne’s department actually hired an Alto executive to help write the Budget 2025 that he was in a conflict of interest.

When challenged, Government House McKinnon shot back:

“The honorable member … what he has put in place is a rigid and approved set of measures from the commissioner of ethics and he will always act with integrity.”

Opposition Member of Parliament Michael Barrett (CPC- Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands—Rideau Lakes) rightly called out the destruction:

“The expropriation of farms, homes, businesses, the destruction of environmentally sensitive land like the Frontenac Arch Biosphere with a program that will cost more than $90 billion while they let atrophy Canadian infrastructure and services like Via Rail which services the same communities that Alto will pass by while destroying…

“Classic Liberal decorum: insult the opposition, then proceed with the looting.”

Barrett explained his question in more detail:"

“My question is for the finance minister. At Committee of the Whole yesterday … the Department of Finance for preparing the budget speech and the budget presentation for the minister and the online open source resources show that the contractor that was used is an employee is an executive with Alto. Now there’s been lots of talk about Alto and why the implementing legislation for the High Speed Rail Network Act was included in the BIA in Bill C 15, because the finance minister had previously said that he believed he would be in a conflict of interest if he participated in that, but at the same time his department procured the services of an executive at Alto to write into a budget bill’s very specific transport legislation … Was the ethics commissioner consulted? Did this individual have a conflict screen? Were they involved in writing on Alto?”

PROPERTY EXPROPRIATION HIDDEN IN BUDGET 2025

This whole fiasco is part of a larger pattern. Budget 2025 quietly expands the federal government’s powers to expropriate private property under the guise of “nation-building” projects. They’re coming for farms, family homes, and rural land, all while Via Rail—the existing, functional service—gets left to atrophy.

I’m calling it what it is: a war on private property, a war on agriculture, and a war on rural Canada. Alto is just the latest spoke in that wheel, right alongside those monstrous data centers gobbling up farmland and energy.

THE BONUS BONANZA BEFORE THEY EVEN BUILD ANYTHING

And just when you thought it couldn’t get more insulting, we learned this week that 100% of Alto executives and employees received almost $2.8 million in bonuses—before a single inch of track has been laid.

That’s right. While farmers and rural homeowners are being strong-armed into NDAs and threatened with expropriation, the bureaucrats are cashing bonus cheques for the crime of showing up to meetings.

As former Opposition Leader Andrew Scheer (CPC-Regina—Qu'Appelle) rightly pointed out, Mark Carney’s government hasn’t turned a shovel, yet they’re handing out millions. It’s the ultimate boondoggle bonus—payment for failure, funded by you, the taxpayer.

According to Rebel News report, a new parliamentary response reveals that Crown corporation Alto poured over $1.59 million into advertising the consultation period between 2022 and April 15, 2026.

Every dollar spent was part of Alto’s broader public relations campaign to “inform the public about the consultation process in their region.”

But, according to local residents at a Landowners meeting in Ottawa May 30, 2026, we reported that there has been no actual consultation and mayors and town councils are being threatened and silenced with Alto non-disclosure agreements. Obviously Canadian taxpayers are paying for a Liberal public relations advertising exercise and grift not a real consultation.

CHAMPAGNE CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Champagne is clearly in a conflict of interest because his spouse, Anne-Marie Gaudet, is vice president of Environment at Alto. In her role, Gaudet oversees the company’s environmental strategy and compliance, regulatory approvals, impact assessments, and sustainability frameworks for the project. As a senior federal minister, Champagne’s position gives him influence over government approvals, funding, and the authority to expropriate private property for this initiative, while his wife holds a key executive position at the very company that stands to benefit. They plan the project, they approve it, and they benefit from it, while taxpayers foot the bill and property owners risk losing their land.

When asked about this Carney shrugged it off and the ethics commissioner will do nothing about it.

WHY THIS PROJECT IS DOOMED

Construction on this ill-starred venture is not even starting for three more years. Three years! In the meantime, executives collect fat salaries for doing precisely nothing. Best-case scenario this rail might be ready in 11 or 12 years—if it ever gets built at all. I predict it won’t. The cost overruns will kill it, just like every other Liberal megaproject.

This is less about transportation and more about control. Force farmers and landowners into NDAs. Threaten them with dispossession if they speak out. All while pretending it’s for the greater good.

When Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin truly unleashed his fury on his own people, he started with a collectivization program that forced farmers to work directly for the state while confiscating their bread. Is that what Carneyism is all about: forcing farmers and rural landowners to hand over their land and their livelihood to a ravenous state? In the Soviet Union, it was the Bolshevik elite who benefited. In Carney Canada it is the friends of the Liberal Party and the globalist elites who are enriched. The fat cat bureaucrats who make outrageous and unearned salaries to take away your freedom and your prosperity need to be retired. NOW.

CARNEY — MOST CORRUPT PRIME MINISTER IN CANADIAN HISTORY

Through an investigative series of articles, we are exposing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s areas of conflict related to the overlap of Brookfield Asset Management activities and his political role as Canada’s leader.

In Article 3, we examined 15 diplomatic and trade missions. We asked Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze the potential level of Carney’s conflict of interest that might arise from the Canadian trade and diplomatic missions and cross referenced this with Brookfield deals in the same countries. Out of Carney’s 15 trade missions, 9 were judged to be within a range of high to very high risk for conflict of interest. We did a Ukraine deep dive into Carney and Brookfield conflicts in Ukraine, which A.I. found to be very high risk.

Other high risk and very high-risk conflict areas for Carney, according to the A.I. included Norway (High); Japan (High); Australia (High); India (High); Qatar (High); Ukraine (Very High); Sweden (High); and UAE (Very High). The conflict high risk for Canada’s Prime Minister Carney, also includes China.

TODAY, we are putting the Canada - China “strategic” partnership under the microscope. With Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney, sometimes it seems like we are watching a masterclass in diplomatic submission dressed up as sophisticated globalism.

In two news conferences held on May 27, Wiretap media captured the following regarding Canada’s “Strategic Partnership” with China and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) secret Memorandum in Understanding (MOU) with the communist police in China.

In an explosive statement Prime Minister Mark Carney finally responded to questions about why Canadians cannot see the secret RCMP MOU with China, calling it “standard procedure” (9:50 a.m.):

“I’ll answer the second part of the question first. We don’t make a habit of releasing security documents with, with other governments for reasons of operational security, that is standard practice for this government, previous governments as well. So, I don’t see a reason to change that in in this circumstance. So, thank you for that question, but that’s our policy.”

On the same day, on Parliament Hill, security expert Dan Stanton, retired senior Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) official warned (11:00 a.m.):

“My 32 years at CSIS, most of it was in counterintelligence. Canada’s resetting the relationship with China, and I think that’s good. They’re resetting with others. My only comment would be this should be done with eyes wide open. We learned with the Meng affair and the two Michael tragedy that Canada did not have a special relationship with China. We sometimes have these illusions that we have a certain leverage, or we have a special understood relationship we could use. The reality is often a lot blunter.”

This is a juxtaposition showing Canada’s vulnerability in our foreign policy and trade position currently with China.

Our eyes are NOT wide open.

As Canadian citizens, we are blindfolded by secret agreements and conflicts of interest that are hidden by the media not reporting them and by old ethics guidelines that have not been built for a transnational, World Economic Forum (WEF), Brookfield class Prime Minister with passports from three countries (United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada).

Carney and Xi: “Don’t Lecture Me in Public”

Recently while on an Australian trade mission (March 3–6, 2026) Mark Carney spoke about his first meeting as Prime Minister with President Xi Jinping at the APEC summit in November 2025. Here’s how he described it:

“The first time as prime minister that I met with President Xi which was at the APEC summit in November. He chose to spend the first 10 plus minutes discussing how he wanted the personal interaction to be. And if I were to summarize... no surprises if you really care about something be clear. Don’t tell me, don’t lecture me... Don’t lecture me in public. Bring issues to me directly.”

Really?

Xi basically gave Carney a tutorial on how to be a good little partner: keep the criticism behind closed doors, spare me the public scolding, and we’ll get along just fine.

This isn’t diplomacy — it’s a submission with a regime that doesn’t do “win-win.” It does “China wins, you comply.”

This sort of humiliation ritual plus a public scolding was provided to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2022, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, China’s Chairman Xi in the publicly dressed down Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The public exchange was caught on camera by Canada’s pool reporter taking place at the G20 where Xi up-braids Trudeau about a ‘leaked’ conversation saying it could have consequences.

“’We should have conservations in a respectful way. Otherwise, the results can’t be predicted,’ said Xi in Mandarin,” which some might think was a threat of some kind.

Trudeau Chief of Staff Katie Telford says PMJT went to the “washroom” at the end of the exchange.

This was an embarrassment for Canada and Trudeau not a successful foreign relations junket for Canada’s former Prime Minister, so undoubtedly Carney is obviously trying to avoid this or any other conflict.

This subservience, and the avoidance of any conflict with China when Canada needs someone to stand up for its citizens and economy, what does this cost Canada when it comes to our sovereignty?

It is time all of Canada faces uncomfortable truths that polite Ottawa society would rather ignore. While Canadians grapple with everything from collapsing property rights in British Columbia to the endless culture wars, one issue looms large on the foreign policy front: our government’s dangerously naive — or worse, deliberately deferential — relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.

We ask you to consider the following questions as we reveal to you the China - Brookfield - Carney connections and conflicts. To consider how this relates to Carney’s latest moves in China, moving Canada away from trade with our geopolitical ally in the United States, and how this affecting business, trade, and our very security and sovereignty in Canada for you and your family.

Is Canada embarking on a new future becoming a corporate neo-colonial state? Historically, this is part of our Canadian heritage under England and the Hudson Bay Company. Is this where Carney is taking us again?

Are Carney and his ‘New World Order” World Economic Forum (WEF) cronies using Brookfield, Blackrock, Blackstone etc. etc. as financial corporations to continue to enrich themselves, while using Canadian citizens pension funds and taxes as “capital”, as they dodge taxes, moving MORE funds offshore, while virtual signaling with “green grift” and the latest A.I. data center putsch?

At the same time, while they have played a significant part in of shoring our labor and commercial goods like furniture and cars to China, are they now further opening the door to China to try to further escalate their personal profits?

Is this why there is no actual or real strategy to bring home the manufacturing to Canada and North America? The only focus is to enrich themselves personally as time is running out.

The RCMP’s Dangerous Handshake with Beijing’s Enforcers: The Secret MOU that Won’t Go Away

Investigative reporter Terry Glavin in February 2026 pointed out, “The most alarming agreement Carney concluded in Beijing [during his China trade mission in January] was the restoration of the relationship between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and China’s dreaded Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

That agreement has its origins in a fairly straightforward police liaison arrangement that had evolved during the Harper years into a joint effort to target the Chinese Communist Party’s wealthy fraudsters and embezzlers who routinely found refuge in Canada. But it quickly turned out to be a cover for Beijing to target “political criminals,” often relying on coerced interrogations and blackmail.”

This secret China - RCMP Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the Carney curse that is not going away. It is on a constant cyclical news cycle. Most recently, Global News reported on May 21, 2026, that the “RCMP spokesperson Robin Percival said the memorandum of understanding signed in January “outlines specific forms of mutual collaboration” on policing, the exchange of information and investigative assistance, but did not give further details.”

She stated, “The RCMP says it won’t release the full agreement it signed with China’s Ministry of Public Security without Beijing agreeing to do so, despite demands from the federal Conservatives and NDP for answers on what it contains.

Percival said the memorandum of understanding signed in January “outlines specific forms of mutual collaboration” on policing, the exchange of information and investigative assistance.” Percival said:

“The RCMP will not unilaterally make public or share the contents of an MOU with a third party without the concurrence of the other party. As such, the RCMP is not releasing the contents of the MOU at this time.”

She claims this sort of agreement is standard stuff — just like agreements with the United States’ FBI, DEA, and CIA and the Five Eyes intelligence agencies that operate a close-knit network of intelligence agencies within Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States and Canada.

Except China’s Ministry of Public Security isn’t exactly the FBI.

Interestingly Percival is being tracked by Rise Media, “Chinese Canada's most high-quality all-media Chinese platform.”

The Chinese language media article does a deep dive exposing all the RCMP weaknesses readily apparent. It quotes Percival about their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) sort of polices and also extensively quotes the National Security and Intelligence Council (NSICOP) regarding very specific “loopholes” within Canada’s RCMP including a RCMP officer that was bribed related to “cryptophone company in British Columbia”, pointing out that the bribed officer “continued to obtain top-secret intelligence from the Five Eyes Alliance, which posed a great danger to Canada's national security.” It also notes the RCMP vacancy rate was high tracking the RCMP job vacancies in each province.

The article also quoted NSICOP report regarding

“Lack training in specialized skills such as money laundering, terrorism, espionage investigations, etc. Two years in remote areas is not enough to equip these officers with national case investigation experience, and Canada is in dire need of a force with modern criminal investigation capabilities to deal with a wide range of modern high-tech crimes.”

Nothing to see here folks.

Totally normal Canada-Chinese relations.

This secret RCMP-China security MOU was also questioned at the House of Commons committee recently, where RCMP official Bryan Larkin admitted how close the Canadian RCMP are to the Chinese authorities. When questioned about the secret agreement Larkin described it as a “re-enhancement” of the past memorandum of understanding.

“It’s really around how we share information. It’s how we actually disclose information. It’s how we actually do mutual investigations...”

Once again this is the communist country that does not have the same human rights as Canada. The Chinese Communist Party has a well-documented history of torture, harassment and forced confessions. We’re supposed to believe information-sharing with these folks is just routine policing?

Rebel News reported that in response to Conservative MP John Williamson’s Order Paper Question, the government confirmed that the RCMP 2026 MOU between the RCMP and China includes “exchange of information, investigative assistance, training and coordination with other domestic law enforcement agencies.”

The government’s reply in Parliament stated:

“The full text of the 2026 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the RCMP and China’s Ministry of Public Security will not be tabled in Parliament or released publicly because such international law enforcement agreements require confidentiality and cannot be disclosed without the consent of the other party.”

Opposition to Carney and the RCMP keeping the China police station MOU secret is growing on all sides. Both Conservative Part of Canada (CPC) public safety critic Frank Caputo and New Democratic Party (NDP) public safety critic Jenny Kwan have separately written letters to Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree calling for the secret MOU's release, saying the details deserve to be scrutinized by MPs and Canadians.

Kwan stated on X:

“I’m calling on Mark Carney govt to stop hiding RCMP-MPs MOU in Beijing. Reports that RCMP needs Beijing’s “permission” to show this MOU to Canadians are a threat to our sovereignty. Our diaspora communities deserve to know how this safety and rights are being protected.”

The federal government refuses to release the full text of this controversial agreement. Surprise, surprise.

Chinese Police Stations: Now You See Them, Now You Don’t

Remember when the RCMP insisted there were no Chinese overseas police stations in Canada? Then they said they closed them. Now, apparently, they’re operational again — or never really went away.

Quebec Chinese community members are demanding answers after yet another investigation was quietly shelved.

Hong Kong Watch and diaspora groups have also expressed “deep fear and anxiety” over this RCMP-Ministry of Public Security partnership calling for full transparency because there is real fear about the data that the RCMP is handing over to Beijing’s enforcers.

As one observer put it: these “stations” exist to harass, intimidate, and potentially kidnap Chinese Canadians who fled communist tyranny. And our government is helping with the paperwork.

And these Chinese police station intimidation strategies being perfected in Canada are now spreading to the United States, however, the USA is doing something about it: “I Exposed a Secret Chinese Spy Post in NYC — Then the Feds Took It Down.”

“Investigative reporter Isabel Vincent pulls back the curtain on a shocking operation allegedly hiding in plain sight in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown — and the federal case that followed. What began as a tip about secret Chinese “police stations” quickly spiraled into a years-long investigation involving surveillance, intimidation, dissidents living in fear, and an FBI raid that stunned New Yorkers.”

Dangerous Chinese Impacts on Canadians

We have tracked Carney’s and his former company Brookfield’s relationship with China today and in the recent past to tease out the pattern we are seeing where conflicts of interest are influencing Canadian foreign policy decisions, making life more dangerous for Canadians.

Here are some recent examples of how public safety is drastically deteriorating in Canada due to the China influence and interference.

1) In the trial of alleged double agent William Majcher the court documents revealed how 25 Canadian residents were targeted by Chinese police under an “anti-corruption program.” Some of them would have faced life imprisonment, or even a death sentence.

The 63-year-old Majcher, a former RCMP officer in British Columbia, is accused of illegally participating in an international anti-corruption campaign launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping called “Operation Fox Hunt,” which was later followed by a similar campaign known as “Operation SkyNet.”

The case stemmed from Majcher’s 2023 arrest and involved allegations tied to Chinese repatriation efforts, but it concluded with a full acquittal. No further proceedings are expected on this charge. For the most official updates, check B.C. court records or recent reports from CBC, Globe and Mail, or Vancouver Sun.

With the new policies and secret RCMP MOU negotiated in January, was Majcher REALLY a double agent or was he implementing what is now the official Carney China policy?

Officer Majcher was just a little ahead of the time.

It is no surprise then when on May 13, under this sort of backdrop, Justice Devlin delivered the not-guilty ruling. She expressed doubts about the nature/extent of Majcher’s actions and noted the evidence was insufficient to show specific intent to unlawfully assist Chinese authorities.

Chinese Canadians must be becoming increasingly nervous, and so should all of us, if the RCMP are giving our information to China as part of a secret MOU. The day before the RCMP alleged communist collaborator was let off, “human rights advocates sound alarm” because the court documents showed how much the Chinese police are harassing Chinese Canadian diaspora residents and how much information the RCMP is sharing with China.

In the old days, economists and politicians always said that by opening up trade with China they would become more like us. Instead, we lost our entire manufacturing sector and what is happening is we are losing our individual freedoms as our country and our leaders like Carney are adopting more and more of China’s authoritarian policies. We are becoming more LIKE THEM!

2) Michael Kovrig who is one of the “Two Michaels” — the Canadian former diplomat and geopolitical analyst who, along with Michael Spavor, was arbitrarily put in prison by China for 1,019 days (December 2018 to September 2021) in retaliation for Canada’s arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. Kovrig appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology (INDU) in May 2026 as founder of the Global Network for Strategic Effects.

Korvig spoke to human rights issues and also national security, economic issues related to importing Chinese EVs — including forced labor concerns in China, predatory CCP-linked industrial practices, sovereignty issues, and the dangers of deepening economic entanglement with China as a hedge against U.S. trade tensions.

Kovrig stated at committee:

“Concentrated sectoral economic dependence also constricts federal policy-making autonomy. The PRC weaponizes technology, supply chains and market access to coerce acquiescence to its geopolitical agenda. China’s ambassador just demonstrated this when he pressed Canada to weaken the long-standing policy on Taiwan. Importing Chinese EVs means importing predatory monopolistic behaviour that our companies can’t survive, labour conditions that our workers won’t tolerate and infringements of sovereignty that our nation shouldn’t accept.”

3) On March 26, 2026 Conservative floor crosser MP Michael Ma at the Industry Committee Liberal questioned expert witness Margaret McCuaig-Johnston (China Strategic Risks Institute/University of Ottawa) during a hearing focused on issues like electric vehicles, supply chains, and forced labor in China. Ma pressed her on whether she had personally witnessed forced labor (specifically referencing Shenzhen in some accounts, though the exchange touched on broader China/Xinjiang concerns), suggested her evidence might be “hearsay,” and cast doubt on reports from organizations like Human Rights Watch.

Ma finally gave a lukewarm apology for spreading his obvious disinformation, but he and Carney both could not condemn China’s “forced labor” or slave labor.

The best Carney could do is criticize it around the world, “There’s evidence and there’s existence I should say of child labor and forced labor around the world.”

Carney, long before he was prime minister, as the Brookfield chairman, also refused to admit there is problem with Chinese Uyghur slave labor in 2021 when pressed by Pierre Poilievre. This is because Brookfield buys solar panels from China.

And still today Carney continues to dodge these questions now that he is prime minister. Carney went onto later that week excuse Ma by praising his “Liberal and Canadian values,” at a Liberal fundraiser.

4) MP Chiang joking about China kidnapping his political opponent — Carney’s supportive comments supporting MP Ma, who obviously does not believe that China has any human rights issues, at the same time as minimizing China’s human rights issues, mirrors what he also said during the general election where he defended Liberal MP Michael Chiang who was caught promoting a $1 million HK China bounty on Chiang’s political opponent — Conservative candidate Joe Tay.

Carney at this time stated he had “complete confidence” in Chiang and allowed him to continue as the Liberal candidate, until Chiang withdrew on his own later that week after corporate media pressure continued to build.

Citing threats, police advised Tay to halt his political campaign, which the Conservative candidate apparently complied with.

Tay’s riding of Markham—Unionville, was ironically the riding Ma (the recent floor crosser) now represents as Tay and Ma switched their seats mid-election, according to our research.

Ma, after he crossed the floor to the Liberals a few weeks earlier, participated in the Canada, China trade mission in January where Carney proclaimed the “New World Order.”

So, we can expect a lot more of this sort of “willful blindness” as investigative reporter Sam Cooper calls it, and worse with this sort of third world level corruption becoming clearer, as Carney deepens Canada’s ties to China. This will undoubtedly further enrich Carney’s personal stock portfolio (held in blind trust) and also increase Brookfield’s profits in China.

Why Do The Liberals Love China So Much?

This isn’t incompetence. It’s a pattern.

Catherine Swift, representing the Coalition of Concerned of Manufacturers and Business of Canada points out the Liberals long legacy at cozying up to China.

She says

“Liberals make potfuls of money from dealings with China. Brookfield is in there like a dirty shirt, as we know, everywhere Carney goes, Brookfield is sure to follow, or maybe it’s the other way around. Brookfield is there first. There’s always a Brookfield connection to anything he does internationally, and that should be examined much more closely than it is being examined.”

Swift is not wrong with her assessment about Liberals and their preferential business dealings with China. This is in spite of the fact for Canada the trade comparison of China with the United States does not add up.

• Canadian merchandise exports to the United States in 2025: approximately $520–550 billion

• Canadian merchandise exports to China in 2025: C$33.48 billion (domestic exports; some reports round to $34.1 billion including minor adjustments).

Of course, imports are different, Canada brought in $90.62 billion in goods from China in 2025, as our political leaders have manufactured the world where most of our manufacturing for most of our commercial needs are now done in China Canadian merchandise imports from China in 2025: C$90.62 billion.

Facts show that the financial reward to Canada for Liberals chasing the red dragon does not provide what Canada needs for immediate trade relief. Canada needs the trade deal with the United States to facilitate those continued half trillion trade exports to the USA, the Canadian economy relies on, yet, as this article will show you, Carney’s focus has been on China, not a new trade deal with the United States.

Historically, Liberals have always admired China. Justin Trudeau even openly admired China’s “basic dictatorship” at a public event. In 2013 Justin Trudeau said at a “Ladies Night” political fundraiser:

“There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say, we need to go green as fast as we need to start investing in solar. There is a flexibility that I know [Prime Minister] Stephen Harper must dream about, of having a dictatorship that he could do everything he wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

Liberals have an almost legendary history of praising China’s communist dictatorship. This also goes back to Canada’s earlier Trudeau — Pierre Elliott Trudeau. In 1973, former Prime Minister Trudeau Sr. said of China:

“... their genius in creating a system that, in comparison with all previous Chinese social systems, is striving to provide human dignity and equality of opportunity for the Chinese people.”

Now that Trudeau Jr. has been pushed out of the way by Mark Carney, it appears that it is Carney who has become Trudeau’s eager successor as Beijing’s greatest western acolyte.

One has to wonder is it an ideological affinity, economic naivety, or as Swift says, something more transactional related to Carney’s and his cronies’ personal investments which could be influencing the thinking and Canada’s policy direction today.

One thing is for certain, in addition to declaring that the new world order is upon us while in China in January 2026, Carney has also praised the Chinese currency again and again and again saying he wants it to become the primary currency for world trade.

Here is what we tracked down where Carney is on the record praising China.

In March 2024, as the United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Change and co-chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), Carney actually expressed optimism that China could be a world leader on green energy and net zero.

"China has made a huge contribution to the fight against climate change, not only in terms of its massive investment in clean technologies and exporting them to other countries, but also in actively developing the financial system needed for the green transition.”

This is of course another bald-faced lie from Carney to suck up to China for financial reasons since China continues to add new coal plants to its energy grid all the time. According to the International Energy Agency: “In China, coal demand grew by 1.2% (43 Mtce) in 2024, reaching a new all-time high. The country now consumes nearly 40% more coal than the rest of the world combined.”

In March 2025 the 21st Century Business Herald, a Chinese publication, Carney said, “It is good that the Chinese currency has become the global reserve currency.” And he said that the “renminbi’s status as a reserve currency, expanding its international use will be one of the most important factors.”

Carney also praised China in this video (above) found by Canada Proud, which seems to have originated while Carney was the Bank of England governor. Carney said:

“In June, under my predecessor, the Bank of England signed such an agreement with the People’s Bank of China and this reflects the growing international role of the Renminbi. It dovetails with the possibility of establishing a Renminbi clearing bank here in London and it is also consistent with our broader policy of openness to hosting foreign wholesale banking activities, which could be extended to branches of Chinese banks.

“Now, helping internationalization of the Chinese currency is a global good consistent with London’s historic role.”

As the governor of the Bank of England, at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium in 2019 (organized by the United States Federal Reserve), Carney again praised China’s currency saying it should be the “reserve” currency and he criticized the USA:

“And the most likely candidate for true reserve currency status, the [Chinese] Renminbi (RMB), has a long way to go before it is ready to assume the mantle. The initial building blocks are there. Already, China is the world’s leading trading nation, overtaking the US at the start of this decade. And the Renminbi is now more common than sterling in oil future benchmarks, despite having no share in the market prior to 2018.”

These are all things Carney said before he became Prime Minister. During the 2025 leadership debate on national television, Carney was asked about who Canada’s biggest security threat is, Mark Carney replied:

“I think the biggest security threat to Canada is China.”

When Carney was asked by a reporter in 2026 if he still thought China was the biggest security threat to Canada since Carney was now negotiating with China and allowing Chinese EVs into Canada and negotiating secret RCMP MOUs with China etc. etc., Carney glibly answered with a smug smile:

“The security landscape continues to change, and in a world that’s more dangerous and divided, we face many threats. That’s the reality, and the job, my responsibilities as Prime Minister, the job of the government is to manage those threats.”

None of Mark Carney’s past speeches praising China and lobbying for the Chinese currency to become the world currency of trade have ever been questioned by anyone in the corporate bought and paid for Canadian media.

Even American Democrats Are Raising Eyebrows

The absurdity reached new heights when Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) expressed alarm at Canada’s willingness to roll out the red carpet for Chinese electric vehicles — the very same ones the US is trying to keep at arm’s length for national security reasons.

She highlighted the risks of cars complete with data packages “sending back 3D video and mapping and geolocation and can be hacked back to Beijing.” A former CIA officer himself, the senator called these “national security issues, not just economic security issues.”

Let that sink in. A Democrat from a border state is tougher on Chinese infiltration than our Liberal Prime Minister.

The same Mark Carney who lectures us about the “new world order” seems perfectly content letting potential Beijing surveillance devices roll onto Canadian roads.

Nothing says “strategic autonomy” like importing cars that phone home to the Ministry of State Security.

Are Canadians Interested in the China Takeover?

Polls show shockingly few — around 6% in some surveys — view Chinese (and Russian) interference as a top concern (Abacus).

That’s dangerous complacency.

People tune out.

But ignoring the dragon doesn’t make it disappear. It just gives it more room to roam through our institutions, our data, and our democracy.

We need transparency on these secret agreements. We need to scrap the dangerous EV experiment. And we need leaders who put Canadian sovereignty and citizen safety ahead of playing nice with authoritarians.

Because if China’s “don’t lecture me in public” is now our foreign policy doctrine, we’re not standing on guard for Canada — we’re standing down for China.

And that should worry every single one of us.

THE BROOKFIELD - CARNEY CHINA CONNECTIONS EXPOSED | PATTERNS IN POWER

We are examining these connections with China in this article and how these conflicts are affecting Canadian policy.

Key Carney Canadian Mission Engagements:

Analysis on the Chinese Trade Missions to China in a few short months indicate a lightening pace of speed for official Canadian diplomatic and trade engagements as well as Brookfield deals with continual overlap of the two. See the table at the bottom of article for comparison of dates.

One of the key overlaps is when Canada and its financiers and bankers including a Brookfield representative were included in the Apr. 3, 2026, mission led by Finance Minister Champagne, which included unrecorded meetings between these bankers and Chinese officials — all Carney cronies. More on this in the analysis below.

China Trade Mission 1: Jan. 13–17, 2026

Carney’s visit to Beijing marked the first by a Canadian PM since 2017. In January Carney met with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, forging a new Canada-China Strategic Partnership and securing agreements on agricultural market access (e.g., canola, lobster, peas) and broader trade/energy cooperation.

The timing aligned with Brookfield’s continued expansion in the very sectors (energy transition and infrastructure) that were central to the discussions. Carney said the infamous “New World Order” statement at this meeting to the seeming horror of Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan, who was sitting beside Carney, and just trying to get a simple trade deal for Saskatchewan and Canadian canola (and pork) producers.

“The new “strategic partnership” will slash tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and certain agricultural and food products – including Canadian canola, lobsters and crab” (What to know about the Canada-China trade deal on EVs and canola - The Globe and Mail)

CANADA GAVE CHINA

• EV access into Canada from China: The 100% surtax has been repealed. Eligible Chinese-made EVs including passenger vehicles and certain electric trucks can now enter under a country-specific annual quota of 49,000 vehicles at the tariff rate of 6.1%.

CANADA GOT FROM CHINA

• Canola to China: Canola seed: Previous 84–85% tariff NOW reduced to a combined applied rate of approximately 14.9–15%. This significantly improves market access for roughly $4 billion in annual Canadian exports; Canola meal: Previous: 100% tariffs NOW removed from March 1, 2026, until at least the end of 2026; Canola oil was not fully addressed in the initial deal and may still face restrictions or require further negotiations.

• Seafood to China: The 25% additional tariff has been removed until the end of 2026 For lobster the tariff is NOW approximately 7%; For snow crab: Similar removal of the 25% surcharge.

• Canadian Pork Exports to China: The 25% tariff on pork remains in place. Some progress was noted on related areas (e.g., resumption of Canadian porcine genetics and pet food protocols), but pork itself continues to face barriers. Further talks may address this in the future.

China Trade Mission 2: Apr. 3, 2026

Minister of Finance François-Philippe Champagne led a Canadian delegation who met with with China’s Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials Apr. 3, 2026.

Champagne claimed, “If you want to expand your trade, you need financial services. You need to be able to provide that kind of services to the exporters that want to do more in the Chinese market.”

But what is the real reason for a banker-focused trade mission to China that included Brookfield? And what about all the other trade missions/ photo ops, 15 of which we outline and track later on in this article.

Participating in the trade mission focusing on “financial services” included four government officials:

(1) Minister of Finance and National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne led the delegation; (2) Tiff Macklem — governor of the Bank of Canada; (3) Peter Routledge — superintendent of Financial Institutions; and (4) Jennifer May — Canada’s ambassador to China (hosted/greeted the group).

Also participating in the trade mission included 11 financiers including a representative of Brookfield:

(1) Daniel Cheng — managing partner and head of Greater China / Asia Pacific (Brookfield Asset Management, specifically in the Energy/Renewable Power & Transition group); (2) Scott Brison (former minister) — vice-chair, BMO Wealth Management (former Cabinet colleague of Champagne); (3) Phil Witherington — CEO, Manulife; (4) Kevin Strain — CEO, Sun Life; (5) Vivi Hou — CEO, Power Pacific (Power Corp. related); (6) Vincent Joli-Coeur — Asia-Pacific Chair, National Bank (Banque Nationale); (7) Alex Tam — CEO, CIBC Hong Kong; (8) Ran Liu — Managing Director, Global Public Affairs, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB); (9) Tina Qiu — Head, RBC Beijing Branch; (10) Ying Du — Asia lead, Mackenzie Investments; and (11) Scott Bao — China representative, TD Bank.

China Trade Mission 3: Apr. 12-14, 2026

International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu set to visit the People's Republic of China from April 12–14 to promote stronger economic ties and greater market access.

Brookfield Executive Trips & Deals 2025 to 2026: CHINA

Brookfield’s substantial exposure to Chinese renewables, infrastructure, real estate, and related transition assets creates direct overlap with the energy, clean technology, and trade pillars were advanced during the trade mission. This includes Brookfield’s historical financial ties (e.g., Bank of China loans secured during Carney’s Brookfield tenure) and the risk that strengthened bilateral ties and market access could indirectly enhance opportunities or valuations for the firm’s existing Chinese portfolio. Public and political scrutiny remains elevated given the scale of Brookfield’s China investments and Carney’s prior leadership role.

Before Carney’s Liberal Leadership Bid & General Election

• March 25, 2024: Carney met with Chinese President Xi Jinping as part of a select group of Western business leaders. The meeting was part of China’s efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties with the West. Discussions focused on trade, economic cooperation between China and North America, and investment opportunities (aligning with Brookfield’s interests in renewables, infrastructure, and real estate in China).

  

• Oct. 18 - 20, 2024: After Carney was appointed as the official economic advisor for the Liberal party of Canada, appointed by the Prime Minister as the “Chair Leader’s Task Force on Economic Growth” Carney attended China’s Annual Conference of the Financial Street Forum 2024 where he met with Beijing Mayor Yin Yong (also deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee) held at the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau headquarters.

  

  • Carney also participated in a “high-level dialogue session,” with Zhou Xiaochuan (former governor of the People’s Bank of China). and Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock, seen below in the picture with Ghislaine Maxwell and the Carneys.

• Blurring lines between Carney’s official position and his Brookfield business, at this time, he secured a loan for Brookfield from the Bank of China, refinancing Brookfield’s Shanghai commercial real estate holdings in the amount of $276 million (USD) $1.96 billion yuan for Brookfield. The deal was completed in November 2024.

After the Canadian General Election When Carney Became Prime Minister

• Apr. 3, 2026: Brookfield executive Daniel Cheng, who heads Greater China for Brookfield, participated in a trade mission with several banks and the governor of the Bank of Canada along with Champagne. Cheng on the Brookfield website Cheng tows the Brookfield highly lucrative party line when he says:

  “There are significant decarbonization trends in China driven by the private and public sectors as well as the regulatory environment that remains highly supportive of long-term energy transition.”

  

• The trip focused on “financial services” and Canadian “pensions.” Cheng who is headquartered in China, is listed among the participants in the mission alongside the other financial executives. participated in a Canadian trade mission with Champagne for a meeting with Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng and other senior Chinese officials.

• January 2025: China Life Insurance Interest in Brookfield’s Proposed China Green/Renewables Fund. Reported as a potential anchor investor commitment. Not a finalized, closed deal in public sources.

• November 2025: Brookfield Targeting $2 Billion (USD) Continuation Vehicle for China Renewables Portfolio In talks to raise the fund (target ~USD $2 billion equivalent, RMB-denominated) to roll over existing ~3 GW of operational wind and solar assets. Interest from Chinese LPs including state-backed insurers (e.g., China Life mentioned as potential participant). Not confirmed as closed/finalized in available reports.

• Aug. 14, 2025: David Levi, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield’s Global Client Group, Meeting with Vice Commerce Minister Ling Ji High-level meeting; the minister welcomed Brookfield to establish renewable energy funds and make long-term investments in China (an invitation rather than a binding agreement).

• March 23, 2025: Bruce Flatt, CEO, Meeting with Vice Premier He Lifeng (). Bilateral meeting during the China Development Forum period. Discussions on economic cooperation and foreign investment encouragement. No specific Brookfield deal announced or signed.
