As I look at the results from Monday night’s Alberta referendum, with about 75% of Albertans voting for option one, to stay in Canada, and about 25% of Albertans voting for option two, to have a referendum on Alberta independence at some point, it is obvious that this result is more than what it first appears to be. It is not a repudiation of Alberta independence, not a clarion call to follow Prime Minister Mark Carney and not a celebration of the status quo. It is a referendum fraught with irony and subtext.

There are three lessons and consequences of this referendum and these will be discussed below.

But before revealing the ramifications of the vote, it is necessary again to emphasize that this referendum had absolutely nothing to do with the breakup of Canada. This was not a referendum on independence, not a referendum on separation, not a referendum on Alberta leaving Canada. It was merely a referendum on a referendum. That’s something we said from the very beginning and it remains true now. This was not a referendum that was going to have immediate consequences for Albertans. It was an opportunity to send a message to Ottawa, but more than that, it was an opportunity for Alberta and Albertans to send a message to exercise their leverage against the Mark Carney government. With Albertans voting for option one, this was a lost opportunity. Alberta has lost the leverage it might have had in pushing back against Mark Carney because the only language he understands is one in which Alberta threatens to separate at some point in the future.

Imagine for a minute Quebec having a similar type of referendum: at least 80% of Quebecers would be voting in favor of having the right to have a future referendum. And Carney would not be popping up in Montreal to declare that the sky is falling. Absolutely not.

Most Albertans obviously did not get this. The fence sitters, the soft federalists, the soft independence people never seemed to comprehend that they had nothing to lose in this referendum. Nothing at all. There were no grave consequences economically, or socially. But there was an abundance of potential opportunity.

There would not have any massive economic dislocation in Alberta if option 2 had triumphed It was all fearmongering from the usual suspects, the federalists like Mark Carney, Conservative Party of Canada leader Peter Poilievre Alberta Premier Daniel Smith, and former Prime Minister Stephen Harper — all brazen fearmongering to try to instill dread into the hearts of Albertans. But the irony of this vote could well be the end of Canada and the beginning of a real, and bona fide, and and strong separatist movement in Alberta.

Because Albertans threw away their chance to exercise leverage, Mark Carney will exploit this moment in time. He will exploit his opportunity to further harness Alberta’s economic might. He will be almost unstoppable now because Alberta did not stand up for its provincial rights when it had the duty and obligation to do so. Carney will read that as a offer, as an opportunity to make Alberta even more of a vassal of Ottawa than it ever has been. That will make more Albertans realize what was really at stake in this referendum, and have some buyer’s remorse, but also fight for another opportunity to vote for independence.

So independence is not dead with this vote. In fact, it will be stimulated more than ever. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon. And in a very powerful, visceral way, it will be augmented, not diminished. That is the irony of this vote. Instead of ending the question of Alberta independence, instead of making Canada forever in charge of Alberta, it will ultimately make the independence movement more powerful as an increasing number of Albertans realize they have again been duped by the magical attraction of the status quo.

The second irony concerns the political future of Premier Daniel Smith. This was a huge electoral triumph the for Smith, who has twisted herself into a pretzel over the years trying to be both a staunch federalist and an independence sympathizer. She invested a lot of time, energy and political capital in federalism, in promoting option one, in standing side by side with Mark Carney in trumpeting and promoting the federalist cause, and she won Monday night, and I’m sure a lot of Albertans voted with her on this issue. She often appeared as either an unwilling hostage or perhaps a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. But she is best remembered as Carney’s nodding mascot as she waged a war of words in unison with the prime minister against option 2 and heaped encomia on his already inflated head.

The irony: this could be her last political hurrah, at least as an Alberta political figure and as premier of that province. This is it. She has spent all of her political capital, and this is the last time she will celebrate a political victory in Alberta. She has danced around the parameters of ideology in Alberta for the past two decades, a leader of the very conservative Wildrose Party one week and a refugee in the old Red Tory Progressive Conservative Party the next. A fierce Alberta nationalist one year and an ardent supporter of Carneyda the next. Mark my words, she will soon be forced out as leader of the United Conservative Party, and hence as Premier of Alberta; the storm clouds are growing, have been growing against her for quite some time, and these agents of political justice will be fully unleashed as constituency associations across Alberta demand her removal as party leader and as premier.

The third lesson is in the other nine questions in this referendum. With the exception of one, Albertans overwhelmingly supported the autonomous side on every issue-that Alberta should be autonomous and make its own decisions, legislate its own laws, decide its own immigration and not relay on Ottawa to do any of these things for it. The lesson was clear: Alberta should not be limited by a federal government that does work for Alberta’s interest. So Albertans are clearly in favor of autonomy, but they still seem to believe, or a majority of them anyway are still seduced by the notion, that Alberta can have autonomy within the status quo Canada, within the current formula of Confederation.

Clearly, that’s not going to happen. It hasn’t happened. It will not happen. It won’t happen under a Mark Carney government. It won’t happen under a Conservative government. Pierre Poilievre is as dedicated to the hated equalization tax as Mark Carney. He has said that he will continue the policy because he wants votes in Ontario and Quebec. So what this referendum will lead to is a realization amongst those Albertans who believe in autonomy, that they cannot have that autonomy without independence, or at least a radically redefined federalism that allows Alberta to act as an independent country.

Watch for this major political shift on the Alberta landscape : there will be a fusion of Albertans supporting autonomy with Albertans supporting independence, and they will become one force, one supermajority in Alberta because they will realize that they cannot have autonomy without independence or without a renewed, completely transformed confederation. The status quo cannot survive.

You cannot have autonomy without a new Canada or a new Alberta outside of Canada. You cannot have your wish. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You have to have autonomy with some degree of independence and this revelation will cause a new and bigger independence movement in Alberta, as these two factions speak with one voice. One has been stubbornly federalist, the other obviously separatist — but these factions will come together as a result of this referendum, when it becomes clear that none of these other questions will be answered, none of these other objectives will be realized under the status quo.

That is perhaps the greatest lesson from Monday night: far from defeating the independence movement, this referendum might, ironically, have bolstered it, strengthened it, redefined it, enlivened it. Just when its detractors thought this would be its death knell. This entire referendum is not just fraught with, but defined by irony. It has not turned out the way anybody really thought it would turn out. But if the federalists think they’ve won, all they did was win one referendum. Unfortunately for them, that referendum will lead to at least one more, and will be the cause, be the stimulation for the further growth of the independence movement in Alberta.

Wait for it.

The federalist argument that Albertans should vote for option 1 in Monday’s referendum – sabotaging the opportunity to have a real referendum on Alberta independence in the future – is the one of the most mendacious, gutless, inane, inaccurate, and fear-mongering campaigns ever waged by a government in Canada. To suggest that if Albertans reserve the right to decide their province’s place in Confederation for a future vote, then gross and costly consequences will result, is sheer nonsense. There will be no economic loss, no promulgation of division that isn’t already obviously there and no loss of faith in Alberta by the remainder of Canada and the rest of the world.

The Alberta Prosperity Project has issued a lengthy economic assessment of just how prosperous an independent Alberta can be.

The fiscal arguments are very evident but that’s not really what we need to focus on 48 hours before referendum day.

We need to focus on how this referendum is essentially innocuous; how it was a ridiculous compromise from a premier who reneged on a promise to have a real referendum on independence; how all the fear-mongering is pitifully redundant because even an overwhelming vote in favor of option 2 will change absolutely nothing about Alberta’s place in Canada.

The only economic argument that you really need is the certainty that equalization policy is not going to change in Canada, no matter who forms the federal government, be that Liberal, Conservative or NDP. Once legislation is in place – and equalization has been in place for a long time – it becomes a vested interest for a lot of people and very difficult to abrogate or even amend. No, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre will not scrap the equalization tax because he needs votes in Ontario and Quebec and both of these “have not” provinces have ravenous appetites for Alberta’s money. That isn’t going to stop just because a government calls itself conservative or because its leader was born in Alberta and holds a seat in Alberta.

But all of these arguments in favor of Alberta independence are really moot points because Albertans are not voting on Monday to stay in Canada or leave it; to remain with the status quo or begin the process of separation. No: you’re only voting on your right to some day make that decision!

This is why Prime Minister Carney and Pierre Poilievre should be staying out of this referendum and not be telling people that this referendum could mean the end of Canada; that if you vote for option 2 you’re giving up on Canada; that you must vote for option 1 if you’re a real Canadian.

Ignore the interference. Dismiss the static. Banish the threats. Overcome the outrageous guilt trip.

Albertans: you have nothing to lose but your chains and you won’t even be losing those after this referendum even if option 2 prevails. You’ll merely be stating your right to someday be loosed from those chains.

Carney’s performance in Edmonton Friday was an absurd exercise in selling the prime minister as a rock star. OK, Edmonton is woke and the home of a police “service” that wants to start arresting people for telling offensive jokes, but does Carney really elicit the type of cheering and squealing that one usually associates with a Sabrina Carpenter concert? And his words.

“Because, because my friends, the stakes are high,” he told his groupies.

“This referendum comes at the worst possible time. The world is becoming more dangerous and divided. No, open your eyes. Listen. Open your eyes. There are some outside our borders who are working to break us, so they can own us. Never. Never. We know. We know. We can give ourselves more than anyone else can take away, and we know, we know that when we are united, we become even stronger, even fairer, even freer,” he said without any hint of irony.

“And at this pivotal moment, Albertans have a choice: can build a stronger Alberta and a greater Canada to leave for our children. Option, option. one, that’s option one, or we can burden them with years of deep division and great uncertainty: Option two, option two,” he said.

I want to focus on Pierre Poilievre’s speech Friday in Calgary. It was a terrible speech, the same speech Poilievre delivers on every occasion that he is trying to convince Albertans that separation is a bad idea: he somehow thinks its good politics to mention Liberal prime ministers like Sir Wilfred Laurier and Red Tory PMs like Brian Mulroney and fantasize about how the country keeps making the economic environment better and better for Alberta.

But even the best part of Poilievre’s speech proved exactly why Albertans should be voting for option 2. Poilievre went on at length about the Alberta voter who is reluctant to support independence but sorely misses the Canada he or she grew up with. Poilievre says he understands and that he will usher in a brave new world and bright sunlit skies of federalism that transforms Canada back into the nation that we all once knew and loved.

But you know what? If Albertans vote for option 1, that is even less likely to happen than ever.

And it is truly not going to happen because Poilievre like Carney is really quite content with the status quo and all this talk about restoring Canada is just a stale talking point to him.

If Canada is ever going to change and if Alberta is ever going to be free from the equalization tax, then it must develop some kind of leverage that the THREAT of separation would carry.

A vote for option 2 is a vote for the status quo, a vote for CARNEYDA, even more than Canada, and an affirmation of Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s leadership on this and many other issues.

Speaking of those wavering Albertans, who might just vote for option 2 for spite and not supposedly realize that it’s not what they REALLY want, Poilievre says, “You see, deep down, I think these people still love Canada? So why are they voting to have a referendum on potentially leaving the country? Well, most will tell you that they had complaints with the government in Ottawa.

“I can relate to a few of those complaints. They feel like the country has moved away from its foundations and denied its basic promise. Youngsters are frustrated they can no longer afford homes. Working folks can’t understand why the grocery prices are so high and they can’t afford food and fuel. Trades workers wonder why our government keeps our resources in the ground and their opportunities down there with it. They see immigration that’s out of control and a justice system that turns loose violent criminals on our streets. All Albertans wonder why they send so much to Ottawa in tax dollars and get so little in return,” he continued.

“But here’s the thing: there are Canadians right across the country that wonder the very same things. To those people who are thinking about taking out their frustration on the current government by voting for separation in the referendum, I say this: Canada is more than a government. It is a people, a flag, a land, a history, and a promise. What you really want, what you really want to restore is the Canada that you knew and still love, with solid borders, safe streets, affordable food and homes, boundless resource wealth, and opportunity for everyone. A country with a common history and identity that holds it all together. That is the Canada that we all knew and still love-that is the core of who we are. So our real goal should not be separation; it should be restoration. It should not be to tear down our country, but to build it.”

It all sounds so good, doesn’t it? Yes, “restoration” is the thing. But how are we going to restore anything, Mr. Poilievre, if Alberta relinquishes all the leverage it has and agrees to the Carnyda status quo? How are you going to restore Canada when you are doing Carney’s bidding right now by playing the fear game with Albertans and supporting the prime minister’s toxic policy on Ukraine – standing with this criminally corrupt Volodymyr Zelensky “for as long as it takes” and for as many tens of billions of dollars as he will accept?

And those “Canadians “right across the country” that Poilievre speaks of, many of them are just fine with Alberta continuing to pick up the tab for their respective provinces as Alberta dolls out equalization payments.

If Canada is going to be restored at all, it will only be under the imminent threat of Alberta independence.

So get out of the way, Poilievre, and allow Albertans to vote for minds and their consciences in this referendum. Stop hitting the panic button and cease and desist with the notion that you understand what Albertans really want and you want that too.

The really bizarre character in this theatrical production is Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, who is the veritable personification of the word and condition of being “conflicted.” Smith actually declared seven years ago this month that “Alberta won’t exist” in a decade, yet she has been steadfastly federalist even while leading a United Conservative Party that is overwhelmingly in favor of independence. And how about this moment of political schizophrenia as she simultaneously countered and affirmed Carney’s politics.

“You might know that there’s another nine questions, and I’ve given this to the prime minister so he can read why we were going to vote yes to the nine. I have bad news for you, prime minister. All of the premiers are interested in talking about immigration and how we might be able to reform it. The judiciary we’ve already mentioned the Senate and provincial jurisdiction,” she began before doing a pivot of historic proportions.

“But this is the point: is that it’s a conversation. We we meet, we find areas where we can agree. We work together on areas that we can agree. I think we are stronger together. I think that this is now a time, a moment in Canadian history where we are going to be able to work side by side. I feel for the first time in a long time, Alberta and Canada are walking together. We’re walking together in the right direction, and let’s keep on working together to keep Alberta and Canada forever strong and free.”

It’s an argument, a disagreement — but wait, it’s really a conversation. Carney doesn’t understand Alberta or Albertans — but hold on, he really does and he’s our friend. It must be difficult for Smith to compartmentalize her thoughts like this; it must be painful to accommodate two such powerfully opposing ideas inside her head at the same time.

Well, I’m sorry to be another old friend who has to break the news to you, Danielle, but Canada is going to be neither strong nor free under Carney and neither is Alberta. Carney is working very hard for the aggrandizement of Brookfield and Mark Carney. He doesn’t give a damn for Canada and he only thinks of Alberta because it’s the province that pays the bills and keeps the fiction of Confederation alive, especially for the boomers who love him so much and think he’s Zeus come to life.

I don’t know how we got around to the question of why so many baby boomers, or “Boomers,” (born in 1964 or earlier), love Prime Minister Mark Carney so much. They perform for him when supporting his candidates, going door to door with pride and promising to visit a thousand or more homes. They went through that dreadful “elbows up” ordeal in the last federal election campaign, when Carney was running against President Donald Trump and not so much Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre.

But when I interviewed my friend and Freedom Convoy leader Chris Barber late last week, we got talking about how so many people in their mid-sixties and upward cannot see Carney for the fraud that he is; cannot comprehend that he is running what has to be appraised as the most corrupt government in the history of Canada. Do they have no hint of suspicion that this guy is going to go after their essential savings with a home equity tax next?

For God’s sake, you’re old enough to know better. It can’t be the same country you remember, and it’s not. We don’t have our freedom anymore. It’s being taken away, and if you don’t think it’s being taken away, you’re either stupid or or just blind or delusional. So I don’t understand why these people are so hepped up on Mark Carney. I know people say all the polls are wrong. Well, some of them are; but you can’t consistently get polling showing the Liberal Party like 20 percentage points ahead of the conservatives and some of them with Carney at 60 to 65% approval rating, without thinking, ‘What the hell is going on here? Do you have an explanation?

Chris had an explanation.

“Word salad. I think when you control the messaging in this country, you control the narrative, and the government has gotten very very good at controlling the messaging and then controlling the citizens as well as the narrative — they’ve done nothing. They’ve accomplished nothing. I think back of you know what it was like to grow up in Canada under you know my generation, what I was used to, what I and what I endured, and what is now are two totally different things,” Barber says.

“I mean, I don’t even recognize this country anymore. From being somebody that was arrested for peacefully protesting the government and trying my best and acting in good faith, I have been put through the court system. I’ve thought many times over the last number of years of removing the Canada off the side of Big Red [my truck], but I also understand that that truck means a lot to a lot of people that were involved with the Freedom Convoy, and it it means so much more than just my you know animosity towards this country,” he continued.

“And then I get certain people coming after me saying, Hey, you know, if you don’t like Canada, you should leave. I shouldn’t have to leave. It wasn’t me that changed. It was this country that changed, and I’m trying to get back to, or would like to get back to the days of what I was born and raised in in this country, because I don’t seem to see it as much anymore with the amount of hate and anger out here. So to those people, I say, wake up and look around you right now. You know, a lot of these people – even these boomers – your children are still living in the basement right now. How can you look around and say that your kids can’t afford houses right now? Your grandchildren are financially going to be devastated going into this, and you think this is rosy?”

Barber notes that he recently put a meme up on X that suggested the Government of Canada was issuing “rose-colored colored glasses. It seems like that’s something that it’s a possibility because this is where we are right now in this country, and it’s sickening.”

Chris was also officially free from house arrest on “Wednesday morning, Oct. 7, we entered the phase as of 5p.m. in the morning … we were officially off 24 hour curfew. We were able to leave, so I enjoyed my first day of partial freedom. There’s still a curfew in effect, so I’m gonna make sure everybody knows that 10 p.m. till 5 a.m. till April for myself and Tamara [Lich] I believe it’s January.”

“I’m in my 50s, so by 10 p.m. I’m I’m looking for a bed anyway. I don’t think it’s going to be an issue, and I still have a work exemption. So when I’m out trucking, I can be you know overnighting wherever I need to be. But I enjoyed my first freedom. I went to town and I bought parts. I washed my pickup truck. I went to a couple different businesses that I work for and just said ‘Hi, Zippy,’ my little dog, and I roamed around and had a good time.” he exclaims.

That’s all good news. But the bad news remains that the Ontario government of faux conservative Premier Doug Ford is continuing to legally harass both Barber and Lich. “They’re going to continue this on as far as they can. They’ve appealed our sentencing. Number one, they’ve appealed our intimidation acquittals. So, December of this year, the crown has to have his written … In January or February, we have to have our written arguments in. We will come off house arrest for me, you know, April 2027, and then we will be back in the court for the appeals hearing in the spring of 2027,” Chris explains.

“So, you know, as most people know from the recent decision from Pat King, they found him guilty of intimidation, and they didn’t find him just guilty of intimidation. They just looked over the transcripts and said, ‘You’re guilty. The judge got it wrong. Have a good day. Come back for sentencing for that.’ There was no retrial. There was no nothing. So according to that, everything that’s happened to Mr. King has essentially been passed down to us as well. So we will probably be found guilty of intimidation, and they’re going to try and have us sentenced to some sort of jail time. Probably what six years after the fact, the Convoy was in 2022, and we’re still dealing with this now.”

Barber is especially appreciative of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms for the work they have done financing his years of lawfare during the longest mischief trial in Canadian history. He and Lich are still facing a massive and outrageous class action suit from aggrieved people in Ottawa who still claim that the Freedom Convoy protest was some sort of sinister “occupation” of Ottawa that led to dark intimidation and threats from the truckers who actually made our nation’s capital the safest and cleanest place on earth during their brief few weeks of peaceful demonstrations.

Chris is very concerned that such peaceful demonstrations against Liberal policy, or even speech directed against those policies, will soon be a distant memory in Canada.

When asked about the Combatting Hate Act, or Bill C-9, the legislation that essentially criminalizes any speech or symbol that the government deems “hateful,” Barber responds, “Gestapo is a thing in Canada now, isn’t it? Under Bill C-9 … I equate Canada right now to a dog chained to a tree, and every day the government takes another link of that chain away, and before you know it, the the dog’s trapped, and it’s just another sequence of events that’s happening in this country right now. And now, like I said, I encourage if that was if that was. And somebody was proudly flying an Alberta flag at the Edmonton Oilers game. Then that whole next arena, the next time they play, should be full of Alberta flags. Just to say, you know, kind of like the jerry can incident in Ottawa, right? You can’t bring a jerry can into downtown Ottawa in February 2022, and then every business in Ontario sold out with jerry cans, and we flooded the downtown core with jerry cans. It was absolutely hilarious.”

Not only is the Carney government making Canada into a censorship state with the before mentioned bill and with the upcoming Bill C-34, but Bill C-22 will make the country into a surveillance state.

And there’s Bill C-29, which the Liberals have quietly introduced to make the practice of freezing bank accounts somehow normal government policy and not subject to a judicial warrant but merely the whim of a cabinet minister.

Of course Justice Minister Sean Fraser is using the memory of the Freedom Convoy to justify his flagrant violation of civil liberties.

“It’s just the doubling down of this government right now when it comes to, you know, kind of demonizing the Freedom Convoy. It always comes after that. Whether it’s the Trump Derangement Syndrome that they’re pushing, or … you supported that Freedom Convoy. [These were the] people that actually stood up against those mandates for the two weeks to flatten the curve two years later when businesses were closed and people were losing financial freedom for everything. Old people were locked up in home care homes, dying, you know, on an iPad, so their loved ones could watch them take their last breath. That sort of stuff was happening, and then people had enough of this bull in this country and decided to stand. And they’re still pushing that negativity to this day,” Barber fumes.

“This is our government. These are our elected leaders. Sean Fraser’s an idiot. We can use the courts to hold the government accountable when we’ve been trying for the last number of years to do that, look at Tamara Leach right now in her lawsuit for how the crown acted in malicious prosecution towards her,” Barber says, noting that the Ontario Crown is pushing to have the “whole case just tossed right out, even though she spent countless dollars on legal matters to try and to push this thing forward. They don’t care. They’re still running to this day without any accountability for their actions. Meanwhile, they’re trying to hold everybody else accountable for anything that they had a bad feeling about.”

Whenever I interview Chris, we always get back to the legacy of the Freedom Convoy. His definition of that legacy remains unswervingly consistent.

“I think back to that. I was just going to make that point. I went to Ottawa in February 2022 to practice peaceful protesting for my government, and what happened there was a demonization of all protesters. You know, you can classify us as however you want, but we were just Canadians, simply wanting to be Canadian, have our freedoms back again. We peacefully protested the government. The government didn’t like that. They didn’t like to be called out on their bull, their malarkey,” Chris begins.

“Over the Covid period, people wanted their freedoms back. People were taking their lives. We went there to have a conversation with the government, and the government never intended on having a conversation with its citizens. Justin Trudeau took a knee for Black Lives Matter, but he wouldn’t sit at a table for blue collar Canadians in February 2022. They demonized us. As a result of that, you know, during the protests, of course, a lot of people showed up. What did I spend my days doing when I was in Ottawa? I spent my days working with liaison officers, trying to alleviate the pressures in the downtown core,” he continues.

“We tried so hard to have that conversation with the government that we wanted. We worked with city officials. That was what I did for the entire time. And what was the result of that? My bank account was frozen. My personal bank account was frozen for three-and-a-half months. My corporate bank accounts were frozen for three or four days. My joint bank account with my wife. My credit rating was demolished. I tried to buy a piece of equipment so my son could work with me in the business, and I couldn’t get a loan. I’ve been in business for 20 years. Always paid my bills. Never had any financial issues. Worked really hard, you know. And then the event came up that I had to actually sell an asset to my parents to afford the down payment for my son’s truck, so he could come work with me. That was where I was at financially in February, and you know what was it, spring of 2020, 2222. Obviously, you know the two years of court battles.”

Barber reminds us all that the Freedom Convoy was crushed by the illegal invocation of the Emergencies Act by then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Nobody has been charged, arrested or prosecuted for that.

Chris thinks governments across Canada have taken their direction from that judicial pass. “I see this country kind of essentially coming to a crippling halt, and right now the government keeps promising more and more and more. You’ve got all these governments, these premiers of every different province … like unlike (BC Premier) David Eby and Doug Ford and [Manitoba Premier] Wab Kinew, those three that should be known as the Three Stooges in this country for how they flap their gums and portray Orange Man Bad Syndrome, so they can just create more political points like Mark Carney’s taught them how to do. This is how they won the last federal election: the negativity and attack ads against the leader of a foreign country. What have you done for our country? What have you done for your provinces? Do you have so many levels of disgust in this country right now that I can’t even comprehend it anymore?” he asks.

We ended our conversation with an anecdote about a mutual friend, OneBC Party leader Dallas Brodie, the most honest politician that I know.

“I’ve got a story … about Dallas Brody. My daughter asked me to attend a Turning Point USA [conference] in Phoenix, AZ a few years ago. I was on, and I flew down with Charlie Kirk, and there was an amazing weekend of speakers there, and so my daughter was there with some other friends, and of course I just kind of got abandoned. So I was meandering around … and I ran into Dallas Brody. This was [before] her running for politician or anything, and Dallas and I got to hang out, had a couple meals together. We had a lot of chats. She’s an honest and true person. Dallas is who she is. She’s blunt to the point, but honest and asks questions, and that’s all she’s done right now in the last number of years,” Barber says.

“You get demonized for simply asking a question about something that should be relevant to everybody, and that’s all she did. And demonized, and of course you have all the haters and the negative out there … When it comes to the amount of online hate that she receives just for speaking her mind, as most people know, I’m well acquainted with that, and I take it with a grain of salt. And you know, you can’t bother me. I don’t get bothered by online hate. If I ever feel like having fun, I go to the message request bin on any social media app, and I see the true hate and hurts across this country.”

“I also see the positive, and I want to make sure I notice that I see a lot of positive on social media, far more positive than I do negative. But those negative ones, holy cow, they’re loud and they’re boisterous. But Dallas is is doing an amazing job,” Chris says.

So are you my, friend. God speed to all you have done and continue to do for the cause of liberty.

It didn’t take long for some morons to deface OneBC leader Dallas Brodie’s election billboard in her constituency of Vancouver-Quilchena.

Some idiot scrawled an Adolf Hitler mustache on the photograph. That’s the first resort of the woke Left who somehow fail to realize that they are the racists for promoting and defending the imagined racial superiority of “First Nations” folks who have special judicial and real estate rights strictly on the basis of their ethnicity and skin color. That philosophy was the foundation of racial injustice in Nazi Germany where “Aryans” had rights that Jewish people could never dream of possessing. This two-tiered justice system was codified in the 1935 Nuremberg Laws, just like the BC government codified racism into BC by legislating the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People Act (UNDRIPA) and so-called Aboriginal Title into provincial law.

Brodie is leading the OneBC Party after the abrupt and shocking departure of Kerry-Lynne Findlay as leader of the Conservative Party of BC (CPBC). That resignation was more of an expulsion as the backroom liberals in the party exerted control in a shameful coup that installed Lorne Doerkson as leader — apparently for life since the party didn’t like the results of the last leadership campaign and won’t say how or if Doerkson will be replaced if he loses the upcoming provincial election.

That snap election, called for Oct. 24, will be an historic moment for BC and for Canada. But BC Premier David Eby called it under entirely false pretenses and covered with a mountain of mendacity about somehow stopping President Donald Trump from issuing any new tariffs — even though it was Prime Minister Mark Carney who walked away from a great trade deal with the US and lied about his reasons for doing it.

But many of feel that the CPBC cannot be trusted after throwing out a real conservative leader like Findlay and then jumping all over the political map on the “culture war,” first removing “REPEAL DRIPA” from the party election platform and then putting it back after massive pushback from conservative voters.

Eby’s arrogance and blind insistence that all BC voters are as stupid as he is could be the worst mistake of this non-entity’s life. He is, after all, a man who went from political activism outside of the BC government to political activism inside the BC government.

None of this is lost on Dallas.

“I’m hearing a lot of anger about the fact that this election has been called when we are so short of money, and you know, as I’ve mentioned before, this is costing the better part of $100 million to run this election, and in the context of this election, David Eby has now started shoveling money off the back of the truck. He announced yesterday that he’s going to increase public library funding by double, so from 14 to 27 million. And this is, and there’s no 14 million to 27 million, and there is no money. And he’s also starting to say that he’ll fund things that he refused to do during the spring session, such as seniors’ homes that were short of funding, and also funding for the children of autistic parents. I mean, all these things. He’s just using public money now to buy votes, and this is the most cynical politics. This is what everybody can’t stand.”

It’s the usual political operation of using taxpayers to fund an election win.

“It’s like you’re using our money to bribe us. It it’s so gross. It’s like why don’t you run on the merits of what you’ve built, if you want to call it that? Why don’t you claim victory over land giveaways? Why don’t you say, look what look what I’ve done, look at me, I’ve I’ve given away this part of BC, I’ve given away this part, I’ve declared Aboriginal territory over vast sections of the Sunshine Coast, I’ve given all these islands away … this cynical politics is what is driving people like me and other Canadians crazy. It’s irresponsible. It’s reckless, and it’s so self-centered. Why don’t you run on your record, David? And if this is all about orange man bad, well, why don’t you explain to us how this election helps that? It it doesn’t make sense. I mean, I’m a sensible person. I may be in politics now, but I consider myself still to be just like everybody else in Canada who watched this train wreck unfolding over the last 11 years, and we’re sick of it. And here we go, more of this, and I think this may well backfire on him.”

I mentioned to Dallas that I had recently read a story in the National Post about the shocking reality of life in East Vancouver, where the evidence of drug use — “safe supply” or not — is littered all over the sidewalks of what was once a beautiful and picturesque city.

“Saying it’s safe supply, let’s think about that. Are cigarettes safe? No, even if they’re made by a manufacturer, they’re not safe. And these drugs are even less safe, even if they’re not cut with something. You know, if cocaine is cut with Drano or whatever they do to it to make it even worse, or fentanyl, it was still bad even when it was just plain cocaine. These are dangerous, mind-altering drugs that make people behave in insane ways, and they destroy a good mind. Crystal meth can destroy a good mind in one weekend. This is there’s no such thing as safety, and I notice that we never see David Eby walking around the downtown east side, you know, extolling his incredible success in pumping safe supply out to people,” Brodie said.

“Anybody who walks down there would have to say this looks like an absolute war zone. Only people are lying on the streets. They’re walking bent over. It’s just if somebody hasn’t seen it before, it’s hard to explain how horrible this looks. It is a dystopian nightmare, and we. And he thinks he can run away from this. This was his idea. This was an insane idea to decriminalize illicit drug use. We need to get back and and not even. We don’t even arrest the drug traffickers anymore. We used to call them pushers. These pushers need to be arrested, all of them, and getting life life sentences that would end this almost immediately.”

Dallas notes that she has has no intention of “stigmatizing drug users. No, we’re not. We’re saying that the drugs need to be stigmatized. It is not a healthy life choice to use these drugs. What parent would say? Sure, try heroin tonight, dear. Here, here, dear child that I’m trying to raise. Try, try smoking some, or whatever they do with crack cocaine. Why don’t you try this? This is really fun, you know. I I don’t know if he gives his own children these drugs and says it’s safe. Go ahead, try it. It’s a safe piece of marijuana. It’s a safe piece of of cocaine. It’s a safe piece of fentanyl. Go ahead, children, try it,” Dallas says, noting that Eby’s wife “is a doctor, for heaven’s sake, and you know, it’s amazing how the media doesn’t go after him on this.”

But the media does have finds adequate time “go around picking at little things on conservative side and trying to just explode other people’s lives over some foolish video that was posted and or a tweet, a mean tweet. And meantime, the entire ship is burning and sinking in the ocean.”

Eby recently demonstrated the the profound idiocy of both condemning BC icon Jimmy Pattison and Save-On-Foods for the price of groceries while proposing tax hikes on “wealthy” people who earn over $190,000 a year.

“Well, two things there,” Brodie says. “First of all, I wish Jimmy Pattison would take get on TV. And say, you know what? And just slap down David Eby, and just say, ‘You know what, young man, you have no idea how to build anything. You’ve never built anything in your life. Nothing.”

Dallas calls Eby “a tearing down person, and you think it’s easy to build what Jimmy Pattison has built. He started selling used cars when he was a young man. My parents knew him. He hustled. He hustled and hustled and hustled. He worked his butt off, and he has created wealth in this province that is incredible. And he runs great stores. He has thousands of employees. And to criticize one of our greatest entrepreneurs is so … I don’t even have a word for it … We have whole hospital buildings because of him.”

She says it is ludicrous to suggest people are rich in BC if they make over $190,000 a year.

“This whole thing about taxing people who are now making over $190,000 more. What an insane move at a time when people are already drowning. I was stopped in IKEA a couple of months ago by a man who recognized me and wanted to talk to me. He was there with his wife and his son, and he said, “You know, Dallas, I’m making $200,000 a year. I should be living high on the hog. He says, ‘We’re barely making ends meet.’ And I said to him, ‘I know. I remember when I was making when I was a young lawyer and I was making around 80 to 100,000 a year, I thought I was just flying high, and it was great income.’”

“You know, you could pay your mortgage. Like things were much better. And now at $200,000, this guy, he says, ‘I’m just a working guy, but he says I’ve gotten a decent job. I’ve worked ahead. I’m in my mid 50s now, and he said I’m. I thought I was doing well, but I’m not.’”

Brodie points out that Eby has run an unaccountable government that has neither sought nor secured the support of BC voters, especially when it comes to giving away vast swaths of land to the “First Nations” chiefs.

“Did anybody tell you you were voting for that? No, and yet it … just rolls out, and it seems to come out of nowhere,” she says, reminding us of how the BC Supreme Court thinks the Cowichan Band should usurp the property right of homeowners and businesses in Richmond, some of it prime waterfront real estate.

“The Cowichan case, coming back to the Richmond situation, is such ground zero for this whole problem and exposed the whole thing. And this case isn’t just about DRIPA. This is the whole problem with all of this, and the government lawyers who were fighting against this land claim had their hands tied behind their backs. The federal government lawyers and the provincial government lawyers were told that they were not allowed to use an argument called extinguishment. Extinguishment is this … it is the strongest defense against these native land claims because what it says is that if fee simple property was ever granted to an owner in British Columbia, or in Canada … that was end of it. That extinguished any other claim that could ever come in the future at any time. Any other claim was extinguished, and that would have included Aboriginal title claims,” Brodie notes.

But government lawyers were told “were no longer permitted to advance this argument. Think about that,” Dallas continues, knowing she’s found the weakest link the government’s position.

“That’s like putting your boxing champion in the ring and saying, ‘But you can’t use your jab. It’s too strong. You have to stick with the other swings you have, or you can’t use your left hook.’ Whatever is your strongest punch in that ring, they say you’re not allowed to use that anymore. And this was the strongest argument back. And of course, we lost the case. And so now they’re frantic. And those people who own properties there, and the businesses who have done upgrades to their warehouses, and millions and millions of dollars are on the line.”

“And so, but now the question is, why aren’t the property tax rates going down again? They tracked up when the value was going up, but oh, surprise, surprise, the government isn’t lowering their property taxes down commensurately with the sudden drop in the value. I also remember hearing council. When they said, ‘Oh no, this won’t affect you. We won’t throw you out of your homes. That’s not what we’re doing here.’”

“Oh, thank you. I’m so glad to hear you won’t throw me out of my home. But the counsel for the Cowichan tribe said very early on after the judgment — and they’ve sort of buried this comment — but I saw it. He [was asked], ‘Well, what does this mean for the owners? Are they allowed to buy and sell their land now? And he said, ‘Well, they definitely have to talk, deal with the band now when they want to deal with their property.’ He said it. So, what does that mean?”

The OneBC leader says this election is not just about her.

“It’s not just about taking out Dallas Brodie anymore, which is, I know, a focus for so many people who can’t stand me. But we need we need people in that legislature to literally hold the line, and ask the the tough questions and raise the issues that need to be raised. And I know that a lot of people trust that we will do it because we’ve taken the heat and we don’t back away or recoil at the first criticism or the first name that we’re called,” Dallas declares.

“You can call me whatever name you want. You can criticize how I look. You can criticize how I talk. You can criticize everything you want to criticize about me. But I don’t care about that. I am here to protect British Columbians and to make sure they understand what’s really going on.”

How does she view the electoral prospects of OneBC?

“I would love to get 10 or 12 seats, but realistically, maybe we’ll get five. Even if we get two, that’s great because then we have official party status, and it doesn’t matter if it’s me or two others. We have so many fighters on our team now. These are true British Columbians with normal lives, normal backgrounds, who are fed up and are working so hard. So that’s my goal, and I, you know, I really hope that British Columbians will elect several OneBC candidates, and trust us that we will bring the truth bombs all the time, and ask those tough questions in that legislature that need to be asked because this is a big deal. Our lives are changing … and taking on this reconciliation industry is not pleasant.”

Amen to that, Dallas. No matter what side of the microphone you’re on.

So why are Dallas’ opponents so desperate to destroy her and OneBC?

Because they talk truthfully without regret — and that’s usually anathema to politicians.

Alberta and British Columbia are both at the crossroads of freedom this month. Alberta is having a crucial referendum on whether it can decide to be independent while BC will have a provincial election that will also decide its future – and whether it even has a future.

First Alberta, which is having a referendum on whether to have a referendum. Let me be clear from the beginning. You have absolutely nothing to lose and potentially everything to gain by voting to support a future referendum on Alberta independence.

But even that question has the entrenched forces of federalism so worried that the Uniparty has unleashed a propaganda campaign to suggest that Albertans can’t even entertain the concept of independence without somehow being in the service and pay of sinister US interests. The mainstream media, a lapdog of the Liberal government of Prime Minister Mark Carney – who subsidizes their services – has willingly and overwhelmingly participated in this campaign. The recent Globe and Mail story about “The Elephant in the Room” is a classic piece of propaganda that makes serious charges against the Alberta Prosperity Project for colluding with the Trump administration and promising to deliver water rights and oil revenue without actually providing any evidence beyond hearsay reporting.

We are expected to believe that backroom deals were made – that the members of the Alberta Prosperity Project were in no position to offer – in return for political favors from Republican Party operatives.

The story had all the elements of Carneyist propaganda: the evil Donald Trump, the sinister American Empire, the wicked Republican Party and the scheming Alberta separatists who are willing to sell their birthright for political power. It is a recipe designed to make the elbows up crowd positively cringe in trepidation. And this is all information that The Globe just “found.”

Initially, Albertans were supposed to get an opportunity to really vote for Alberta independence this October, but because of machinations behind the scenes, Alberta Premier Daniel Smith opted for this, shall we say, compromise, where Albertans will get the chance to have a referendum on a future referendum. It is in no way binding but it does — as many of the proponents of Alberta independence have observed — send Ottawa a message.

I can’t overemphasize how true that is. There is absolutely nothing to lose and potentially everything to gain for voting to have a referendum on independence and telling Ottawa that Albertans have had enough. Voting to have another referendum does not mean Alberta is going to separate. It does not mean Alberta will ever separate. It does mean Albertans will hold their cards close to their chests, and potentially demand that Alberta separate in the future. That is powerful leverage and Alberta needs as much leverage against Ottawa as it can muster because it remains a fiefdom of the federal government.

I don’t, for a minute, think that even if Albertans vote to not have a second referendum that this question, this issue, will somehow disappear – it won’t. But this is an opportunity to democratically inform the Carney government and to simply say no, we reserve the right to decide about Alberta’s destiny. If you don’t take that initiative and seize the opportunity, it will be stolen from you from a grasping, thieving federal government. You will be spoiling your opportunity. This will be a missed opportunity and that’s quite tragic.

This referendum needs to be caesura for Alberta; a moment to stop and contemplate the province’s destiny and to retain the right to shape that destiny.

I’m amazed at how this referendum has unfolded.

There are 10 questions. Some of the questions have nothing to do with the old Alberta Agenda that Daniel Smith used to believe in. There are no questions, for instance, about Alberta police forces, about an Alberta pension, and the question about the Senate is not the traditional question about the Senate that the Alberta agenda always asked, which was: Should the Senate be reformed? Now the question is: Should the Senate be abolished? That was never part of the Alberta Agenda. So, if you get through the first nine questions, you might get to the tenth question, which, of course, is the only one that really matters. None of the other questions being asked will be of any consequence unless the federal government agrees to proceed with them and these are not questions that Alberta can unilaterally provide answers to. It’s almost as if the first nine questions can only be solved if the tenth question is resolved in a way that ultimately gives Alberta independence.

So don’t listen to former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, don’t listen to Conservative leader Peter Poilievre, don’t listen to Daniel Smith, or any of those so-called conservative voices out there, who are telling you, “Don’t dare send Ottawa a message. Everything is just fine. You might upset your political masters.”

Everything is not just fine. Alberta is in the grips of a federal government that will not change fundamentally, and I say that in all seriousness. I believe the linchpin of Alberta independence is the continuation of the equalization policy that forces Alberta to give billions of dollars to other provinces, largely Quebec and Ontario. This is a retrograde, regressive form of taxation — as all taxation really is — and it must end. But it will not end under the current federation formula, because Ontario and Quebec are where the vast majority of voters live, and those voters will want equalization to continue, no matter what Albertans want.

So that means that no matter what federal party Albertans have to vote for, equalization will never be an issue that that federal party will disagree with. This is precisely why the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC), under Poilievre, arguably the most conservative politician to lead that party, will not oppose equalization.

Now, there are a host of federal government policies that are toxic for Alberta. The real question in my mind is why does Smith appear to really believe that Carney is on Alberta’s side. Maybe he’s on her side, but I’m not sure which side Smith is on anymore. Clearly, she has been a political chameleon throughout the years through her leadership and membership in various provincial parties, she has managed to constantly evolve in a way that keeps her politically viable.

I don’t know where she thinks she’s going to go right now, because she is the leader of the United Conservative Party, and up to 70% of the membership of that party supports Alberta independence. It will be untenable. Indeed, it is probably impossible for Smith to continue to lead that party and remain a federalist. I don’t know if she has somehow convinced herself that one can be of two minds and somehow convince people of two different concepts at the same time, to appease the separatists as well as the federalists simultaneously; but this kind of politicking is doomed to failure sooner or later.

So the premier must be looking at her political tea leaves right now and saying, “My time is limited. Where do I go next?” Clearly, at least as I write this on Oct. 6, 2026, Daniel Smith does not think Alberta independence has a future and has opted to remain a federalist wherever that path takes her. That path might take her to be the next leader of the CPC. It could also take her to be a federal Liberal, since she seems to believe, or at least acts like she believes, that there is fundamentally no difference between the federal Liberal Party and the federal Conservative Party right now, and there is a dramatic, perhaps diametric, difference between Carney and his predecessor, former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Of course, any in-depth analysis of Carney’s motivations, indeed his policy decisions, would indicate that there is no difference between these two men. One is simply more intelligent than the other. That being Carney, however, Carney remains viscerally committed to a liberal view of Canada and a globalist view of the world, much like Trudeau. He talks a good talk about having a pipeline built to BC, but he has placed so many conditions upon that pipeline that it really exists only in fiction. It is a chimera.

This is a pipeline of the mind, not of reality, and even if it did get started, if construction began, it would literally take longer to build than the Trans-Canada Railway, and we all know how quickly world events develop.

So I don’t think Smith really has a plan right now, except to repeat what she has done in the past, which is to completely transform her political perspective when it’s absolutely necessary — recall her shifts from Wildrose to Progressive Conservative and then to UCP. If Albertans decide to support a second referendum or even if they don’t, Smith, of course, will be forced to either resign from the party or she will be forced out as leader of the party.

But Smith might not see it that way. If the federalist forces win this referendum and manage to put the question of Alberta independence again on the back burner, again in the background, Smith may well believe that she can survive. The end result, though, will be bad for Alberta and Albertans because the federal government will continue to ride roughshod over provincial autonomy and will continue to insist that Alberta be a second-class province, in terms of representation in Ottawa, while being a first-class province in terms of having to pay the bills to keep the country afloat.

The BC election offers hope for a province that has been pulverized, pummeled and punished by a criminal Bolshevik government that calls itself NDP. Unfortunately, the after forcing Kerry-Lynne Findlay out as leader, the BC Conservative Party has done exactly what we all feared they’d do. They have become a Uniparty. They are not talking about the social issues that are essentially really driving the conservative electorate in BC. Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson has been a crashing failure. He’s weak, he’s pusillanimous, he’s indecisive, he’s waffling, and he constantly apologizes for positions he should be trumpeting and promoting, not trying to hide. I know exactly what’s wrong with BC Conservative communications; it’s the typical death wish of conservative parties in Canada who tend to listen to the criticism of the mainstream media and their opponents, retired to a backroom and panic and then emerge to adjust their policies and comments accordingly.

The BC Conservatives should be out in front, calling Premier David Eby a radical, an extremist, a fanatic, a dangerous premier. They should be calling NDP candidates dangerous candidates because they hold views that are far away from the mainstream of British Columbia. They espouse policies that are toxic, dangerous, extremist, fanatical, wildly ideological, without considering reality.

They want your children to view gay porn and be sexualized in elementary school. They want to give away public and private land to “First Nations” chiefs whose imagined racial superiority has been confirmed by both the BC legislature and the courts.

The facts are these: If the BC election re-elects another NDP government or a Conservative government that wants to mimic and parrot NDP policy, BC is finished. The Conservatives might be a little better on the economic side, but in terms of the rot created by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People Act (UNDRIPA) and on Aboriginal title, these are phenomena that will hollow out the province and literally relinquish probably most of the land in that province, certainly publicly and ultimately even privately, to so-called “First Nations” chiefs and bands.

What the BC Conservatives should be saying is that either we in this province radically change its direction, either we do a complete reboot, or the province will cease to function. We will cease to be a viable provincial government. Unfortunately, they’re not doing that. They’re simply talking in a vague sense about change, that some kind of change is coming. Well, change might simply mean the name of the party in power has changed, but the policies remain largely unchanged.

I want to see OneBC win some seats, not because I want to see the vote split or I want to see the NDP come up the middle, but because there should be such an overwhelming opposition to this criminal NDP government that the Conservative Party could still get a majority of seats and one BC could get some seats either to hold the balance of power in the event the BC Conservatives only want a minority or at least to have a presence in the legislature to demand consistency, honesty, and that the BC Conservatives follow through on promises — as vague as they’ve been — to stop the rot in BC.

I’m not sure Doerksen has the guts, the courage, or even the motivation to do that, I know Dallas Brodie, leader of the OneBC party, has the courage and determination to do that. I don’t know if she’ll be given the opportunity even to remain as an MLA, and that would be incredibly sad and catastrophic.

What’s really happening in BC and Alberta right now? I think it is a litmus test for whether or not Canada survives.

Now you might say, well, if the federalists get their way in this referendum, the threat of independence will be gone, and if the Conservatives win in BC well, that will be an end to BC’s road to destruction.

But of course, neither will be true, because Canada is no longer Canada. Canada is a country where free speech has all but vanished. We are no longer guaranteed freedom of assembly. Look what happened to the Freedom Convoy. And we really seem to think there is such a thing as Pride Season, which in other countries is called summer. Remember what Carney said: every day in Canada is a celebration of, excuse me, “Pride.” So if Alberta does not use the threat of independence, and BC continues to be a Uniparty-governed province, Canada will be finished because the country is on its last legs, not just economically but socially, because of mass migration, because we have lost our way many years ago. We are overtaxed, overregulated, overborne by government.

We have forgotten what freedom looks like. We have forgotten what it’s like to be a free people. I think we have a chance in Alberta and BC to proclaim liberty, to proclaim freedom again. But unfortunately, that voice is being stifled by very evil forces that want these provinces to sing in unison with the Carney government. Daniel Smith is working for the Carney government and I’m not sure that Doerkson would not also be working for and with the Carney government if he becomes premier. We are at the twilight time for a country that once was great beyond its population, and now looks back at the past and wonders how it became a place of serfdom. It wonders how it lost its way.

There is a way back, but we have to have the courage and determination to take that road, and it’s going to mean government will not be the same. It will not be the same roadmap. It will not be the same talking points. It will be indeed a political revolution, not a violent one. That could potentially come in the future if things continue to deteriorate, but the opportunity exists now to have a truly intellectual political revolution, as we remember and rediscover what it means to truly have freedom as individuals, and not to be servants of government. The decision will be taken in the next couple of weeks in both of these provinces. I’m hoping and praying that people remember what’s really at stake.

Alberta: send Ottawa a message. BC: destroy the BC NDP and send Eby into early retirement.

So BC Premier David Eby has called a provincial election for Oct. 24, 2026. This is perhaps the most unnecessary and unethical election call in the history of British Columbia and perhaps Canada. Let us remember that Eby enjoys a majority government right now. He is witlessly trying justify this election call by saying he needs a fresh mandate because President Donald Trump and his tariffs are somehow threatening his very existence while dividing British Columbians and Canadians.

The potential silver lining in this toxic scenario: conservatives may well be united, not under the febrile brand of the BC Conservative Party (BCCP) but under the leadership of OneBC Party Leader Dallas Brodie. More about that later.

Eby, of course, as he always does, is taking rubbish. Eby is calling this election because the BCCP is in disarray, chaos, confusion, and effectively both leaderless and rudderless — though Red Tories within the party would love that leader and that rudder to point to the Left. Eby thinks after falling so low in the polls with no real hope of winning re-election, he can take this election easily, with the opposition posing no real threat and he will try the same strategy abused by Mark Carney. It will be another embarrassingly low-brow “elbows-up” campaign.

He will also run, not just against the BCCP, but against Trump in the United States. Incidentally, this election will be just before the U.S. midterms in November, so Eby will have a chorus of Democratic Congressional hopefuls to provide a his soundtrack. So all of this is coalescing, is dovetailing, just when you thought Eby couldn’t get elected as city councilor in East Vancouver. This will be a campaign based on the moronic elbows up performance that won the last federal election for Prime Minister Mark Carney. Eby didn’t even attempt to mask his intentions during his election call Tuesday when he referred to Trump as an “existential threat” to BC and Canada. He is not any such threat but even if Trump were, how would calling an election obviate or reverse that threat? What difference is it going to make?

Absolutely none. And Eby, tall in stature but a mental midget, really believes that such a primitive call to arms will both justify his unjustifiable election and win him another majority government so he can continue to wreak havoc on what used to be a great province but has been so hallowed-out by Eby’s reckless socialists that it is on the brink of fiscal collapse.

David Eby is an amoral politician, ravenously power hungry and the very embodiment of pusillanimous political posturing. He represents a party that is extremist, fanatical, toxic, and dangerous to everyone in BC — all the things he accuses his common sense opponents of being. It is not Trump but the BC NDP that is a visceral and existential threat to BC — not just because it has outspent every other Democratic jurisdiction in the Western world per capita, not just because it has left the BC economy in tatters, but because in BC there is a two-tiered justice system, one for so-called First Nations folks, and another for the rest of us.

We should be particularly concerned about Eby, if only because it is possible in Canada for such a noxiously third-rate man to become premier of a province.

In BC, there is an apartheid system, and if you happen to be so-called indigenous or so-called First Nations, you have racial superiority over the rest of the population. You have special rights, special status, special real estate rights. Huge swaths of public land will be given to your millionaire chiefs. You can claim private property as your own just because your ancestors may have trod upon it centuries ago. This is what BC has become, where inequality under the law is the rule, not equality under the law. BC is a basket case economy and a basket case province, where inequality rules.

Eby could well win this election, given the incapacity of many voters to think. He would only win if common sense BC voters fail to unite and kick this scoundrel out of office. He could only win because the BCCP is in such disarray and has decided not to be an alternative to this severely flawed government. Victory would only be his because the BC Conservative Caucus and the insiders, those people in those back rooms, those men and women making deals, were never happy with the election of Kerry-Lynne Findlay as leader of the BCCP. They wanted Caroline Elliott or anybody else except Findlay because she was the only real conservative in the race. The membership of this party voted overwhelmingly in the end for Findlay because they wanted a real conservative to lead a real conservative party.

That was the mandate given to Findlay, but immediately upon becoming leader of the party, she was beset with difficulties and a cloud of doubt emanating from the party elites. Liberals in the conservative caucus decided they were going to defect, to form their own party, or to sit as independent because they could not abide Findlay’s “extreme” leadership or the “extreme” positions she had taken, and by the time Findlay resigned, she had lost 13 MLAs. Three of them she kicked out of the party herself because they were apparently behind, or partially behind, all of this mess, including former leader John Rustad.

But this was a coup against the leader. This was the insiders, the backroom boys and girls, saying, “We will decide who leads this party, not the membership. We don’t want a real conservative. We want a liberal. We want a new Democrat-style leader, and that’s exactly what they’re probably going to get now as the faux conservative MLAs return to the fold and former BC Premier Christy Clark declares, “I’m going to help however I can.”

What a joke. Why wasn’t she helping Findlay for the past two months?

This coup was a denial of both democracy and reality. The BC Conservatives cannot win with another faux conservative leader. But the faux conservatives insiders who engineered this strike against Findlay do not want a conservative leader. Were Elliott’s people working to replace Findlay? I cannot prove they were but yet at the same time I have no doubt they were active. Why did Elliott say nothing during this whole tortuous process, as phony Conservative MLAs deserted the party and the accusations mounted that Findlay was taking the party in directions that “the people” didn’t want?

What are the ramifications, the consequences of this? Findlay was the last hope for British Columbia getting through a crisis completely created by the New Democrats when they recognized Aboriginal title and put the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People Act (UNDRIPA) into provincial law. That created two-tiered justice, two-tiered real estate, two-tiered equality. Some citizens of BC were suddenly much more equal than others. It is a travesty; this racial supremacy doctrine must end; but it won’t if the BC New Democrats are re-elected. It will get worse.

The province will probably lose hundreds of thousands, potentially millions of people through emigration, because people cannot live in a province where private property is not recognized. If the private property problem doesn’t get them, the economy will, and BC will become a wasteland, a ghost province, because people will be leaving in huge numbers. I openly campaigned for the election of Findlay.

I thought it was the only hope for BC.

I still do.

I don’t think the Conservatives have a real hope of winning this snap election, and I don’t think the province has any real hope of surviving another NDP government. Just look at the streets, the hopelessness in Vancouver, the massive drug addiction, the terminal hopelessness. It’s like the problems endemic to Native reserves have spread to the population writ large. Urban BC is awash in addiction and hopelessness, joblessness, homelessness and absolute toxicity.

This is what Vancouver has become — one of the most beautiful, prized cities in North America, is now someplace where it’s unsafe to walk the streets and is littered with drug paraphernalia. BC needs not only radical, immediate change. It needs your prayers because I don’t know if anything besides divine intervention can curb the judgment that is coming upon upon this province because of bad political decisions and hugely stupid politicians who have ruined a have province, who have ruined one of the most beautiful jurisdictions in the world, because of political insanity, because of incredibly stupid ideology, because of lack of common sense, because of a scarcity of foresight, a shortage of understanding, an absence of basic comprehension.

BC could do so much better. It should be doing so much better, but it’s not, and I don’t see any hope for the future. If the BCCP cannot be a conservative party except in name, then perhaps the only hope for this province is to vote for the OneBC Party, led by Dallas Brodie, a former member of the BCCP caucus and easily the most honest and forthright politician in BC and probably in Canada. Real conservatives from her old party are already coming to her and joining OneBC. I will be watching this BC election very closely. I am going out to BC next week, and I will be talking to people. But this is not an election that this province either needs, or potentially can even survive.

And it’s interesting to note the same forces in the mainstream media, the same liberals, masquerading as conservatives, are also after Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre. They want Poilievre to resign, to step down, to be removed as leader of the federal Conservative Party. Why? Because for all of his faults, Poilievre is the most consistently conservative member of the Conservative Caucus, who is well known enough to be the leader, and who could potentially still be prime minister. It’s that fear that liberals and the mainstream media have that Poilievre could become prime minister that keeps them attacking him as the leader of the Conservative Party.

That, of course, is exactly what happened in BC. Except in BC, they were successful very quickly. As I mentioned on the Marc Patrone Show Tuesday, the Communist playbook was always to undermine governments, to create chaos, to engender disorder, to promulgate a nagging sense that the government had no idea what it was doing and only radical change could save society.

What the Liberal playbook does today is to undermine the Opposition, so there is no credible alternative to the corrupt liberal socialist governments that are in power in Canada. Undermine the Opposition, create the perception that the Opposition is divided against itself — is in chaos, is in disorder, is in disarray — and people will say, “Well, we can’t vote for them, can we? We have to keep the government in power.” That’s been the playbook. In both cases, it’s about taking away the rights of people to make their own decisions. It’s taking away the will of the people. It’s taking democracy and freedom away from all of us. That’s what’s happening in BC That’s what’s happening nationally. God help this country, and God help British Columbia right now.

Mark Carney’s decision to make Canada an associate member of the European Union (EU) is catastrophic. It’s idiotic. It’s beyond reason. As an associate member, or not quite a full member, of the European Union, Canada will have sort of a second-tier status, which means we won’t be a voting member, but we will be subject to the terms and conditions of the European Union.

Even if that would allow Canadians to visit European countries, without a visa and maybe even without a Canadian passport, because we’d be issued an EU passport, we would be obliged to take their refugees, real and phony, and their migrants, because we would be part of the club, so we get nothing back really, except heartache, and we would be second-class citizens of a club that even Europeans are pushing back and fighting back against. France, overwhelmed with migrants from Morocco, could well say that they have no room but there is more than sufficient space in Canada to take more of the expanding throng.

Europe is not at all in some splendid consensus that the EU is a good organization. Think of what the European Union does. It adds layers of bureaucracy for countries in Europe that already have overpowering states, overpowering governments, layers of bureaucracy, layers of regulation, high taxes. The EU only compounds that situation and makes taxes higher, makes more regulations, makes life more difficult. And so, as we saw in Germany last week, Germans are pushing back against mass migration and the policies of the EU. France is pushing back. Britain is pushing back. Europe is saying enough of this parasitical organization.

So what is Mark Carney doing? He’s giving this political vampire a life-saving gift, a metaphorical blood transfusion. Just when this organization, this corrupt, bloated government organization, is on the verge of dying, is on its deathbed, Mark Carney has decided to give it a blood transfusion to keep it alive, keep the corpse alive, put it on life support by making Canada an unwilling participant. And so, what are we going to get in return? Mass migration, refugees. It’s the worst of both worlds. We’re not really a member of the EU but we’re a member enough that we’re going to inherit and take their problems. And this is so vital to understand why is Mark Carney doing this?

Mark Carney is doing this because Mark Carney does not believe in the traditional order of North America. Canada is part of the North American continent. Our greatest trading partner, our best military ally, is the United States. It is not China. Canadians are not naturally obligated to be a member of an alliance with China, with a new world order with China, and Canada is no longer a part of the European Empire, we were at one time when Great Britain had an empire. Canada was a part of the British Empire.

Those days are over. The British Empire effectively ended after the Second World War, even though it began to decline and dissolve during and after the First World War, but since 1945, Canada has been a part of the American Empire. We are the United States’ best friend. They are. We share the longest undefended border with the United States. We’re we are the United States’ closest military ally. We are the United States’ greatest trading partner. We share the United States’ values much more than we do European values today. Europe is in a process of transitioning back to more individual freedom, but for many years Europe has been defined by statism, by government first and individual rights second or third. We don’t want to emulate Europe or what Europe has been for much of the 20th century. We don’t want to emulate that. We want to be more like the American dream of personal liberty, individual freedom-that’s where Canada should be going, not with the Europeans, especially when the Europeans themselves are saying enough of over-government, of government overreach. It’s time to stop.

So Mark Carney wants Europe because he believes in the EU, and this is an organization that, of course, has done nothing except make the lives of Europeans costlier, more arduous, and less free. It’s bad enough right now with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency being effectively a terror organization that likes to roam about slaughtering the herds of cattle belonging to Canadian farmers, it’s bad enough what the Canadian Food Inspection Agency the CFIA did at Universal Ostrich Farms by killing, massacring hundreds of ostriches because they insisted these birds were sick, and they never had to provide any evidence that they were sick, that they had not developed natural herd immunity when they surely had it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that these ostriches were healthy, but the CFIA intervened anyway.

But what the CFIA has done in Canada almost pales to what the EU has done to farmers. If we have a war on agriculture in Canada, that war is much amplified and much worse in Europe. We’ve seen demonstrations from farmers in countries like Germany and Holland, where they are being attacked, they are being subverted, they are being oppressed by the government, and farmers have no rights. They are on the lowest rung of the social totem pole, because who cares what rural people think? Not in Brussels, not in the European Union Parliament. That doesn’t matter to them.

Here’s what Jeff Rath, legal counsel for the Alberta Prosperity Project and a man who has become both the face and the voice of Alberta independence, told me.

“The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been … moving in a Stalinist direction. Remember all the protests in Holland and all these other places against all of the EU agricultural bureaucrats. So now we’re gonna have bureaucrats from Brussels coming onto people’s farms without warrants and seizing their animals and killing their livestock and shutting their farms down. I mean, Carney is literally … going to turn Canada into not even a member state of the EU, but a territory of the EU, like Guam or Puerto Rico is to the United States, where we’re stuck with all of the rules and all of the regulations of Europe,” he says.

“We don’t even have the ability to elect people to the European Parliament or have any say. And you know, not that we would have any say anyway in Europe because we’d be outvoted by all the communists that are already part of the EU bureaucracy or whatever you want to call them, right? Fascist dictators of the EU bureaucracy. I mean, Albertans need to wake up, right? We have an opportunity on [Oct.] 19 to bring an end to this foolishness by voting to start the process of getting Alberta out of Canada – it’s our only salvation. Like, if Albertans think we have it bad now, wait until Carney makes us a territory of Brussels,” he says.

So Carney’s dream must not come to pass, but we’re certainly moving with an ominous certainty in that direction. And already we’re seeing the polling suggest that Mark Carney has support for a European Union membership for Canada, and that was full EU membership for Canada. I am prepared to say that if Canadians are polled about an associate membership, it will sound even better to them. I don’t know if the polls are skewed or Canadians are skewed. I can’t decide whether these polls are just horribly inaccurate or Canadians are that stupid?

Do 80 to 85% of Canadians really think Carney was correct — and telling the truth — in dropping the trade deal with the United States, even though he failed to really explain why — and he lied consistently, chronically — about why he refused to sign that trade deal and refused to continue negotiations. It’s been clear ever since that Mark Carney was lying about the reasons. There was nothing in that trade deal that would have infringed upon Quebec language rights or bilingualism or Quebecois culture or any of the things that Carney claimed were in that trade agreement. It was a good deal for Canada. It would have reduced or eliminated tariffs on all of thosings we’re constantly harping about: steel, aluminum, softwood lumber. This was a great trade deal for Canada. Carney backed out of it because he wanted an excuse to pursue his personal agenda with China and Europe.

What amazes me about all of this is that Carney isn’t doing any of this in secret, behind closed doors, in smoke-filled rooms, even though those rooms wouldn’t be smoke-filled anymore, he’s not doing this in a clandestine way. He’s doing it out in the open. He’s doing it in the broad daylight. Canada is being robbed in broad daylight, and the the media, the bureaucracy, the very public, is watching and approving. Mark Carney’s getting away, not with literal murder, but certainly a metaphorical murder of Canada.

This country is on its last legs, and Carney is giving it away to China and to Europe simply because he doesn’t want a relationship with the United States, even though he has what 93% of his personal investments in the United States, because he knows that’s where he’s going to make the most money, the United States, despite everything Mark Carney imagines about it, talks about it, says about it, it’s still the world’s number one superpower. It’s still the number one economy. It’s still the country that generates the most wealth in the world. It’s not China. It’s not Europe.

Carney knows that, and that’s why he’s got his personal investments in the United States where he can make the most money. But Mark Carney hates the United States because it traditionally has stood for individual liberty, and that’s something Mark Carney doesn’t understand.

All Carney understands is personal power and the power of the Liberal Party, and this is a reason why he wants us to join the EU. It’s going to mean an extension of Mark Carney’s toxic policies in Canada, the ones that already exist, more mass migration, more of the disappearance of Canadian identity, of who Canadians really are. Carney wants to destroy all that.

And don’t forget the CBAM — the Canadian Border Adjustment Mechanism. Carney has mentioned this sparingly, but this is likely one of the man reasons he wants to align Canada with the European Union. By moving forward with his CBAM dream he will be fully implementing his net zero carbon tax. Charging people carbon taxes to make Canadian goods “more competitive” within the European market is likely all part of the plan according to what he said last year (watch vid). So, the main thing Canadians will get out of this deal with the EU is higher taxes and more expensive everything. And Carney will get his net zero dream helping Brookfield and more taxes for his government.

He wants globalism to replace Canadian nationalism because it benefits his own bank account. He wants Canada to be weak and impoverished, and that’s what we are. Look at the lineups of the food banks. Look at the homeless people. Look at the drug addiction in this country. Look at the hopelessness. Look at people who think they’ll never own a home, and never have the kind of normal life they enjoyed as children with their parents. All of that is evanescent. All of that is virtually gone.

What else is the prime minister doing with Europe that is absolutely crazy? Signing a 100-year treaty with Ukraine is absolute insanity. It’s absolute nonsense. You can’t sign a 100-year treaty with any nation and expect the world to look the same in 100 years as it does today. The world will not look the same as it does today in five years or 10 years. Why is Carney signing deals like this? And he can’t even define what the deal is, except that we’re somehow going to magically stand with Ukraine for how long-the next 100 years-while we build millions of drones that are going to kill – what – hundreds of 1000s of innocent civilians?

Does Carney not think these drones are going to somehow precipitate a world war, especially if they’re being fired at Russia, and Russian civilians are dying? Does Carney not see the potential for war to develop, a third world war, a thermonuclear war developing. Does Carney not get any of this? He’s not stupid. He’s very clever. He’s very cunning. He’s very crafty. But he does have a hidden agenda. He talks about alliances with Europe and China. He’s quite open about that, but he’s not open about where he sees this going, and that’s you not being able to own anything, not being able to eat the food you traditionally had, because the World Economic Forum will dictate how you live, your standard of living.

That’s where Carney’s taking Canada, and his obsession with Ukraine. It’s got nothing to do with the individual liberty of Ukrainians. It has nothing to do with democracy in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a dictator, a tyrant. He’s corrupt. He’s allegedly a cocaine addict. He’s surrounded by equally corrupt politicians and equally corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs. We have poured $26 billion and counting into the black hole of Kyiv.

Most of that money we will never see again. Most and a lot of that money has been appropriated by corrupt politicians and oligarchs, they have put it in their pockets, into Swiss bank accounts, into private personal investments. And why does Carney wants Ukraine to keep fighting in a war where it’s lost literally half of its population to deaths on the battlefield and emigration by its best and its brightest, out of the country? The simple but shameful answer is because Brookfield Asset Management owns Westinghouse, and Westinghouse provides a large degree of the nuclear energy for Ukrainian nuclear reactors.

Brookfield stands to lose a lot of money if Ukraine loses this war, but if Ukraine wins the war and the West decides how Reconstruction will continue. Then Brookfield is number three in line to benefit financially from that Reconstruction. Number one is Black Rock. Number two is J.P. Morgan. Number three is Black Rock, and that’s where Carney is focused on making money for BlackRock, for Brookfield. Whoops! Sometimes the two of them seem awfully alike, and they are. So, what is Mark Carney’s European adventure?

Carney’s European adventure is to destroy Canada, to destroy our relationship with the United States to destroy Canadian freedom, to destroy Canada as it is through mass migration, to becoming an extension of the European problem, because Europe is a basket case of a continent with people crying out for freedom, and just as Europeans are saying enough of the EU, Carney wants to impose its values and its financial constraints upon Canada, and Canada can’t stand much more oppression, much more regulation, much more government overreach. We’ve reached our limit in this country.

No one in Canada voted to cancel trade with the USA and join the European Union. But under Carney, this appears to be what we are getting. Trade with the European Union is something that could increase potentially in the future, but to turn around the entire Canadian economy and have Canadian companies exports to the EU replace the exports to the USA — this will not be possible in the short term or the medium and even the long term. In looking at the trade patterns over the last 5 years, the US remains the dominant destination every year: roughly 13–16 times the EU total, in spite of Carney talking about trade diversification and his many trade photo-ops over the last year around the world.

Canadian companies export more than 13 times as much to the USA than to Europe; (this is with a trade deal already in place with the EU) because we use different systems than the Europeans. It is not just geography; our technology and industries are also interconnected with the Americans. Is EU going to start accepting Canadian farmers canola now? If not, it takes 5 years to grow non-GMO seed and it will not produce as much. These things cannot be flipped like a light switch.

These are the things our leaders have forgotten. Basic common sense and practical realities of making things work. Bureaucrats and politicians do not know what it takes to run a country and make things work this is why we get rhetoric and no realism.

Carney will be addressing the European Parliament this week; on Tuesday, at the end of a cabinet meeting, he met with a lot of so-called conservatives and announced his plan for Canada to be a kind of member of the European Union. I am so sick and tired of so-called conservatives, whether they’re former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Alberta Premier Daniel Smith, Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre any of them applauding Mark Carney’s desecration of this country. Stop crying out about rally round the flag, boys and girls. Stop encouraging Canadians to support Team Canada when, in fact, it’s nothing more than Team Carney and Team Liberal Party of Canada. Stop encouraging this prime minister’s megalomania and stop encouraging the personality cult of Mark Carney. Stop it now before this goes any further, because Canada is on the verge of collapse of capitulation, and that’s exactly what Carney has had planned all along.

So how did the Allison Inquiry go? Member of Parliament Dean Allison (CPC-Niagara West) truly provided a forum for those injured by the Covid vaccine to come and tell their stories of pain, sickness, injustice, dismissal and personal courage.

Unfortunately, much of the mainstream media wasn’t there in person and I’m pretty damned sure they weren’t watching on-line. Despite having offices literally a couple of floors down from the action, CBC, CTV and Global stayed away in droves.

Of course they did. They were the same media outlets that pushed the Covid cover story from day one: get your first two vaccines and then keep getting booster shots, stay six feet away from people and mask up – except when you’re sitting in a restaurant eating and that magical umbrella above your table will keep you safe from all infection.

That was when you had to say the vaccine was “safe and effective” even when you knew it wasn’t either or risk being canceled on social media or losing your YouTube channel.

Some of the national media are still declaring the vaccine to be safe and effective but they are part of a Parliamentary Press Bureau that is defined by its indolence, apathy, mendacity and financial obligations to the Carney government. Journalists are supposed to be seekers of the truth but successive Liberal governments have made them a bodyguard of lies.

Allison was fond of saying that the vaccine-inured needed to tell their stories and that is true, insofar as it goes. But they also need some assistance, affirmation and acknowledgment that they weren’t crazy for blaming the vaccine for a host of debilitating illnesses. They need justice too – even though it is highly unlikely that there will ever be any justice for the pharmaceutical industry and their political pawns who pushed a toxic and murderous vaccine on a believing public.

We wanted to believe the vaccine was being administered in good faith. All of the people who testified at the inquiry agreed on this point. They got the vaccine because they trusted the government and because they didn’t want to put their friends and loved ones in danger by being unvaccinated.

I got the vax because I was working on Parliament Hill and my mother was in a nursing home and I couldn’t visit either location without being vaccinated.

What was really disappointing about the inquiry was the absence of Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre, who literally fled the country as Prime Minister Mark Carney’s goodwill ambassador to the US so that he could justify his not being at the inquiry. I think he looked bad all around: being co-opted by Team Carney and not having the balls to show his support for the vaccine-injured because that might still look a little too radical and extreme to the elbows up crowd who see godlike qualities in Carney.

He apparently listened to his communications flaks who told him there would be no political gain by being at the inquiry. Would Mark Carney show up?

No, he wouldn’t. But that should have been the point for Poilievre.

It wasn’t.

I had the opportunity to interview Kayla Pollock after the inquiry had conclude. Kayla was prominent among those injured by the vaccine and she has received nothing except heartache and frustration from the Liberal government and it’s recently renamed Vaccine Impact Support Program. It had originally been called the Vaccine Injury Support Program but that was too much of an admission from the feds that their vaccine actually hurt people.

Kayla was not invited to address the inquiry with her testimony. Instead, she recorded what she had prepared to say and allowed me to post it online as part of a “Stand on Guard” episode. I was deeply honored.

Most of the words in this article are hers. I encourage you to watch her entire testimony. A link is provided after the article.

One of the other witnesses was Carrie Sakamoto, who offered some graphic testimony of what the vaccine did to her. She related how her health has been affected.

“That photo shows when my eye was still paralyzed open, and that’s an infection that I get quite often. That one was particularly bad. You can see the bubble underneath, and you can see all the redness around my eye where I had to put the patch on and off several times a day, which is like a band-aid, so you’re ripping the skin around your eye, because I had to put constantly be putting gel in my eye so it wouldn’t dry out and lose my eye,” she said.

“Now I have a condition called synkinesis. It’s healed back wrong. All the nerves are connected wrong. So I have pulling in my face, and my eye droops, and it just kind of does what it wants. I can’t. I have blurry and double vision out of that eye. I do wear glasses that help with light sensitivity, but for today I’m not going to wear them.”

Other areas of her body and life were also changed by the vaccine.

“The memory loss is really bad. It seems to be getting worse. My doctors have said that it is medication medication related. They believe, but I haven’t been able to go off of the medication to be able to tell. They did some tests on me because I noticed that I was leaving things on. I couldn’t remember certain things, really important events in my life that I should know. So I went to my GP, and they did some testing and I tested as early onset Alzheimer’s. They told me that it is medication related.”

Kayla Pollack told me this in an interview that preceded her recorded testimony.

“I focus highly on taking the politics out of this. Highly taking this out. This is about people, not politics and this is about a program that was designed for people with catastrophic injuries from the COVID vaccine. And you know, waking up paralyzed and having two different neurologists write reports and have audio recordings telling you that you definitely woke up paralyzed as a result of your COVID vaccine, I believe entitles me to share my opinion on on what what this program is actually like, having lived through it, and so any Canadian is entitled to have an opinion about a program that they’ve been forced into relying upon, and you know we were told it would be there for us if if this happened, and so my testimony is going to rely heavily upon that.”

Kayla’s health remains precarious with “an active lens” in her spine. “That means I’m going day by day, and I’ve got a spinal tap at a specialist clinic coming up again because it’s getting worse, and I don’t know how long I will be around to speak on these matters, and so I needed my words to be out there. And I appreciate you having the courage and giving me the opportunity to just share it. And I hope that your viewers, you know, take a listen to it and take what you want and leave the rest. I’m not trying to convince anybody anymore,” she says.

Kayla says she has earned the right to speak up about her story after “waking up paralyzed and having two different neurologists write reports and have audio recordings telling you that you definitely woke up paralyzed as a result of your Covid vaccine.” That experience “entitles me to share my opinion on on what what this [Vaccine Impact Assistance] program is actually like, having lived through it, and so any Canadian is entitled to have an opinion about a program that they’ve been forced into relying upon, and you know we were told it would be there for us if if this happened, and so my testimony is going to rely heavily upon that.”

Amen. How many of us didn’t see another choice but to take the vaccine so we could continue working and seeing our family and loved ones?

Kayla remembers when she first knew something had gone terribly wrong with her health.

“I thought I had done what I was supposed to do. I went to sleep that night expecting to go to work the next morning. I woke up unable to move. Think about that. There are moments in life when you immediately know that everything has changed. That was mine. I tried to move my legs, nothing. I tried to move my body, nothing. I could turn my head, but essentially everything below my neck was gone. My mind went directly into fight or flight mode, except I could not fight and I certainly could not run. So I went into survival mode, and that’s where I’ve been since. I got my roommate to call 911. I was taken to the hospital,” she recounts.

“A close friend who was a nurse tried to come inside with me. She was not permitted to accompany me at all. In fact, security escorted her out. I was terrified. I was alone, and then something happened that I will never forget. A doctor came into the emergency department. He asked questions. When I explained the timing of my symptoms and that they had begun following my vaccination, I was told that what was happening to me was psychiatric,” she says in disbelief.

“Imagine that-you wake up unable to move your whole entire body, you cannot feel properly below your neck. You’re scared. Your bladder’s no longer working. Your bowels are no longer working. You’re terrified that something catastrophic has happened. And one of the first explanations you hear is that it is psychiatric and in your head? A psychiatrist consultation was ordered. I was left there,” she remembers.

“Then the pain began. Severe pain in my neck, excruciating pain, pain like on anything I had ever experienced before. I remember trying to yell because I could not tolerate it. I tried to yell out the pain. Eventually, I saw a nurse preparing medication through my IV. I asked what she was giving me. She told me [that it was] morphine. Whatever anyone believed about the cause at that moment, my suffering was real – and they knew it. My pain was real – and they knew it. Something was terribly wrong – and they knew it. They tested me. They tested me for COVID multiple times, negative. Again, they tested me negative. They tested my blood. They tested my urine, [which] they obtained through the catheter because of course I could no longer urinate normally.”

Kayla says it continued like this for weeks as the doctors and nurses looked at everything but the vaccine as the cause of her misery: drugs, alcohol, “you name it.” But finally “another doctor walked into my room. He was young. He was kind. He looked at what was happening to me, and he told me something I desperately needed to hear, and someone to say. He told me he believed me. He told me he believed something was terribly physically wrong with me. He wanted an urgent MRI and had a friend who would immediately read the results at home. And there, after the MRI was completed, there it was. This was not imaginary. There was significant disease in my cervical spinal cord.”

Not only was the problem not psychiatric, but it was one that the doctor had seen before “He said, ‘Yes, I’ve seen many, many patients like you.’ Those words have never left me. I was started on high dose steroids that very day, and then began a completely different existence for me. I could not feed myself; other people fed me. I could not properly use my arms. I could not control my bowels. Or my bladder, I could not control my spasms. I had to relearn basic movements most people acquire as infants. I had to learn how to lift an arm, how to grasp something, how to hold a fork or spoon. I had to learn how I could position my body, which I couldn’t. How to function while trapped inside a body that no longer listened to my brain. I spent approximately six months in hospital and rehabilitation.”

Kayla says she continued to believe for months that she would walk again, “that rehabilitation was the beginning of getting my life back. I worked, I fought, I tried, and I waited, but walking never came back. To this day, I remain completely paralyzed below my chest. People sometimes think paralysis means simply that you cannot feel anything, or move. That’s not necessarily true for everyone. I feel pain. I feel discomfort,” she says.

“This is what disability actually looks like. This is not simply sitting in a wheelchair. It is 24 hours a day. It is every night. It is every morning. It is your bladder. It is your bowel. It is your skin, it is your muscles, it is your circulation, it is your transportation, it is your home, it is employment, your relationships, your finances, your identity, and your children,” Kayla relates, revealing that she lost her home, career and caregiving rights for her son along the way.

“There were days when I could lie in bed and look upwards and ask God, why? Why this? Why had I not already survived enough. I survived childhood abuse. I survived being removed from my biological parents. I survived adoption and loss. I survived struggles to overcome alcoholism.”

“I fought to build a life. I built careers. I became a mother. I had finally built something that felt secure. And then I lost all of it overnight. I heard a literal voice from God, but somewhere inside of me came a thought I have never ever forgotten. I still have my voice. I had lost the ability to stand, but I have not lost the ability to speak. So I decided I would speak.”

Kayla continues to speak and it is an honor for me to provide her with the means to speak to a large audience.

We need to hear Kayla’s words. We need to give these victims the assistance and justice they deserve. We need to resolve that a toxic and potentially lethal vaccine may never be forced on Canadians again.

As God is our witness.

Am I exaggerating?

Is this sheer hyperbole?

No. Absolutely not.

The evidence is overwhelming.

The signs are everywhere.

The indications are overpowering.

Prime Minister Mark Carney wants to sever our relationship with the United States that has anchored Canada to economic prosperity, military stability and political freedom since the end of the Second World War.

That’s why Carney sabotaged the trade deal with the US and then lied about who was responsible; he manufactured a lot of nonsense about President Donald Trump demanding control over Canada’s sovereignty and wanting to undermine Quebec culture. It was all a pack of lies and in reality, as chief trade negotiator Jamieson Greer, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent have repeatedly said, Canada was offered a great deal but walked away from it.

Why? Because Carney wants a New World Order with China.

Within days of the learning that the deal had collapsed, Carney was announcing that another acolyte of China, Dominic Barton, had been appointed to head the Invest in Canada federal bureaucracy. Barton is a former ambassador to Beijing and another huge fan of the Chinese system.

Previously, we found out that there is a secret police deal in the so-called trade deal Carney announced. Now we learn — from foreign media — that Canada is now in talks with the Chinese military.

Liberals have an almost legendary history of praising China’s communist dictatorship. This also goes back to Canada’s earlier Trudeau — Pierre Elliott Trudeau. In 1973, former Prime Minister Trudeau Sr. said of China:

“... their genius in creating a system that, in comparison with all previous Chinese social systems, is striving to provide human dignity and equality of opportunity for the Chinese people.”

Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, PET’s son, infamously told a fundraiser in 2013:

“There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar. There is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about: having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

Even former Finance Minister Chrystia Feeland, who used to work as a journalist back in the day, was instructed by famous progressive George Soros in 2009 about the need to make China pre-dominate in a “new world order”.

So, what is emerging now is a clear picture of Carney, and globalist Liberals just like him, continuing to enthusiastically advocate for communist China.

Even though many things have changed, Carney’s own devotion has not wavered, he is such a vociferous advocate should we be questioning if Carney has been placed as a Manchurian candidate?

If you aren’t sure what a Manchurian candidate is, see the film of the film of the same name about how American GIs in Korea were brainwashed and subverted by Chinese agents and returned to the United States to work for China — for the purpose of assassination.

In the past Carney as a climate so-called “expert” for the United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Change and co-chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), Carney actually expressed optimism that China – with all of its coal consumption and production of gas-guzzling automobiles – could be a world leader on green energy and net zero.

“China has made a huge contribution to the fight against climate change, not only in terms of its massive investment in clean technologies and exporting them to other countries, but also in actively developing the financial system needed for the green transition,” he said.

The US House Judiciary Committee called GFANZ a “climate cartel” in one of two blistering 2024 reports, because of its attempts to impose a globalist net zero agenda on corporations around the world.

“The climate cartel has declared war on the American way of life. The climate cartel is waging a ‘Global World War’ for net zero against disfavored American companies, including those in the fossil fuel, aviation and farming industries that allow Americans to drive, fly and eat,” declared the committee’s report.

Not as well known is that Mark Carney is wildly supportive of replacing the U.S. dollar as the world currency of choice with the Chinese yuan, or renminbi. On March 10, 2024 Carney said at a conference in China (21st Century Business Herald):

“I have been arguing for many years that it would be more beneficial for the global system if our reserve currency system could be richer and more accurately reflect the weight of the Chinese economy in the global economy, given the rise of the Chinese economy.”

China has been interfering in Canada’s political system for years and this has been documented by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. There has been little or no interest in actually addressing this meddling. China operated — and possibly continues to still operate — Chinese “police” stations in Canada that target dissidents living here who have escaped the clutches of the communists. The RCMP initially denied such facilities existed and then claimed they had shut them all down — closed offices that weren’t supposed to be there at all.

The decrepit and delusional Boomers who have proven to be Carney’s most solid and dependable allies seem absolutely oblivious to the man they were so instrumental in electing as prime minister. Do they really understand that this is a man who wants to forge a New World Order with China even as he mimics the horrifying censorship and tawdry surveillance policies of that communist country?

According to a recent report, Canada is being used as a “transshipment” hub by Chinese companies to access and use our lower tariff rates. The USA released this report tracking Canada as one of the worst perpetrators. This was one of the behind the scenes biggest American points of contention with the trade deal.

Trump does not want the Chinese EVs imported into Canada, and clearly said so as far back as January 2026, at the time of the Carney “new world order” announcement, Trump said:

“if Carney “thinks he is going to make Canada a ‘Drop Off Port’ for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken.””

On page 9 of the report, Canada is listed as a Transshipment:

“Tier 1 Diversified Scale Leaders Large absolute volumes of China linked goods; diversified industrial bases and major U.S.-bound export platforms where transshipment risk is embedded within broad legitimate trade flows.”

THIS is why Canada is giving China half of its EV market, to allow this sort of “smuggling” allowing Canada to be used as a base for the Chinese to access the American markets.

Steel is another example of transshipment contnetion. According to the New York Times:

“…China’s steel and aluminum exports are on the rise because its economy is struggling, sapping domestic demand. Many of these low-cost exports have gone to American allies like Canada and Mexico, which in turn export significant shares of their own more expensive output to the United States.”

Canada, of course, claims this is mostly not happening.

But when researched, we found it is happening and Canadian companies have paid fines for this sort of devious dumping of Chinese steel into the USA. According to the Financial Post in May 2026:

“Two Canadian steel companies and one of their part owners agreed to pay US$19 million as part of a settlement with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) that they illegally circumvented duties on steel from China, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey and Vietnam.”

Ironically, one of the companies that the USA says is allowing itself to be used by China to send inferior steel into the USA under the Canadian tariff banner — is named Royal Canadian Steel Inc.”.

This of course has been under reported and the Financial Post has this story behind a paywall. But you can read it at our link above. Or, check out our video report on it here”

So why are some online influencers, including former Permier Jason Kenney, claiming criticism of Carney is unpatriotic? That we must ALSO oppose a trade deal with the USA to remain in synch with our duty as conservative Canadians? They also protest when Americans point out to “CCP Carney” Canada’s lack of trade leverage due to our greatly declining GDP.

But are Americans just telling the truth and this is why it hurts so much?

How do they not know that Carney travels around the world on trade missions not to make “Canada strong” but to facilitate better business for Brookfield, the company where Carney presided as chairman of the board?

How do they not know that Brookfield is the biggest company tax dodger in Canada sheltering their profits in offshore havens? Do they know that Carney will come looking to tax their home equity next?

Even if they know, it probably wouldn’t make any difference to them.

Carney is their man and they swear by him.

Those of us who are increasingly the victims of his oppression are more inclined to swear at him.

Prime Minister Carney just won three byelection seats on Monday night.

Is this an indication that Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre should step down and be replaced by another Red Tory who will take the party to the left again?

Well, obviously not.

That’s precisely what the Carney Liberals and their paid opposition want. It’s what the mainstream media continues to suggest is a fait d’accompli.

No, far from it.

Why aren’t the media demanding to know what was in this failed trade deal? Why are they not asking, “Where’s Mark Carney.” After he declared that Canada was “at war” with the US, he vanished from sight. He has not responded to Poilievre’s request to reconvene Parliament to discuss the consequences of that failed trade deal. He has not released any of the details that Poilievre has every right to see. Carney has stood by his lies that he walked away from a bad deal, even if the The New York Times has revealed that it was anything but a bad deal for Canada but actually would have lowered and potentially removed tariffs on steel, aluminum and softwood lumber.

Carney scurried away from a trade deal that he never really wanted and has been hiding ever since behind a mountain of mendacity cloaked by a proliferation of prevarication. President Donald Trump had no interest in or desire to wage war on Quebec culture or to erode Canada’s official bilingualism policy – as useless and divisive as that policy remains after almost 50 years.

Carney did not want to address the transshipment scam that allows China to avoid tariffs on its steel by smuggling it through Canada as a safe conduit.

He didn’t really want to reinvigorate the Keystone XL pipeline, even if that would have meant greater prosperity for Alberta.

He wanted none of this and he continued to eschew a trade deal with the US because he dearly wants a New World Order with China.

Poilievre must stop BEGGING and he must start DEMANDING THAT Carney provide him with a full briefing of what precisely was in that trade deal and the REAL reasons that Carney opposed it. Poilievre is the leader of His Majesty’s Official Opposition and a part of the Government of Canada. Yes, that’s right. Under the Parliamentary rules of the Westminster system of government that we follow in Canada, an official opposition is integral to good governance.

I fear that Poilievre is listening to his critics who want him to be accommodating to Carney and join the provincial premiers that the prime minister has co-oped to join his Team Carney. Remember, it’s NOT Team Canada. It’s Team Carney.

We don’t need or want a trade war with the United States.

We are opposed to counter-tariffs because these will only hurt Canadians – especially if they are applied to food products. The Conservative Party recently produced a video of Poilievre making a trip to the grocery store and leaving with a small bag of goods worth $125. If counter-tariffs are applied to most or all of the produce in that bag, the cost will escalate to $225 with a 50% tariff.

This is the reality that Canadians face.

We are already going to food banks and living in tent cities.

We are grossly overtaxed and overburdened with regulations.

We are living in a censorship and surveillance state and have effectively lost our freedom of speech.

The Canada that you remember as a young man or woman is evanescent, perhaps gone forever.

Carney continues to enslave us and push this country closer into the grips of the globalists and his Chinese masters.

This is not the time for Poilievre to be the nice guy who understands the responsibilities of and demands on the prime minister. Carney is running the most corrupt government in the history of Canada and he must be held accountable for ruining the lives of millions of Canadians.

I don’t give a damn if demented Boomers continue to worship; continue to knock on thousands of doors for his candidates; continue to be profoundly dedicated acolytes for Carneyism and Carneydom.

This is the time to see a real and viable OFFICIAL OPPOSITION and not just the second largest party in the House of Commons that is willing to roll over and support anything that Carney wants, as long as he demands subservience in the name of Canadian unity.

The legacy of history and responsibility for the future rests on Poilievre’s shoulders. There is no one else in Canada’s political system who can fight Carney and the Liberals. People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier is fighting for freedom but he cannot affect the decisions of the government because his party holds not a single seat in the House. Don’t think the increasingly Bolshevik NDP care if you are taxed to death; they would do the same. Don’t rely ono the treasonous Bloc Quebecois to care if Canada lives or dies. They want this nation to perish.

I throw down the gauntlet before Poilievre and say this: Demand what isi yours by the virtue of your office and don’t let Carney get away with another scam, another diversion, another campaign of lies.

Keeping fighting for the Canadians who Carney has punished, oppressed, pummeled and enslaved.

Let us know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I believe, strongly, that Prime Minister Mark Carney is lying about why he walked away from the trade deal with the United States. He didn’t reject the offer because if was a “bad deal.” His decision was based primarily on political strategy, support for Canada’s dairy cartel and subservience to China and the “New World Order” that he wants to create with his handlers in Beijing.

This is a corrupt administration defined by a mountain of mendacity and a preponderance of prevarication.

But his falsehoods are not checked or challenged by the mainstream media. He is lying about the trade deal just as he lied about the monies from the Gordie Howe bridge flowing to Canada and about condo developers not influencing his decision to buy overpriced condos in Vancouver.

Carney gets away with it because we are living in an Orwellian world where this week’s reality is next week’s fraud; this month’s enemy is next month’s friend.

The US is now the enemy and Canada is “at war” with the US — as ridiculous and shameful as that assertion sounds and is.

And there is the munificent prime minister with a $7.5 billion aid package for Canadians suffering from the tariffs not only from the US but from the ones Canada will put on US goods. The federal deficit will continue to spiral into the stratosphere. And now Carney is off to the European Parliament to, no doubt, eviscerate President Donald Trump, and continue to spread the festering, febrile relationship that now exists between Canada and the US.

But it was all planned. This is what Carney wanted.

But let me explain.

During the last week of August in 1939, people who understood politics knew another war was imminent. On Aug. 23 of that year, after intense meetings between German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop and Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, two bitter foes forged the Russo-German Non-Aggression Pact, a treaty that cleared the path for the Nazis to invade Poland without fear of Russian intervention. Instead, a secret protocol in the agreement actually gave the eastern half of Poland to the Soviet Union – making them equally responsible for starting the Second World War.

The pact shocked the world because these two countries had been visceral enemies since the Nazi regime had come to power in 1933 on the wings of anti-Bolshevik rhetoric and its leader, Adolf Hitler, had spoken about Germany having the right to “lebensraum,” or living space, in the East – obviously referring to the Russian heartland.

Despite all the rhetoric, Hitler and Stalin had a shared respect for each other because neither man possessed an ounce of respect for ethical or moral values and would do anything necessary in the pursuit of power. Stalin had expressed praise for Hitler after the notorious “Night of the Long Knives” in July 1934 when the Nazi dictator had purged hundreds, perhaps thousands, of his political enemies, including the leadership of the SA, the brown-shirted storm troopers who had been integral in the seizure of power but were now an impediment to Hitler’s relationship with the army.

So as soon as the new friendship was proclaimed the propaganda machines in both countries went to work convincing their confused citizens that this was a completely normal, rational and acceptable relationship. This radical volte face was undoubtedly an inspiration for George Orwell and the political climate that he describes in 1984 where the competing nations are constantly changing whom they describe as friend and foe.

Does our world today not seem glaringly similar?

Let’s examine the failed trade talks between Canada and the United States as a prime example of how much of the news media does not report objective facts but politically-promulgated narratives.

The entire backdrop to these talks, the way in which Mark Carney has played off Donald Trump and the United States, has been an exercise in political duplicity.

Carney has been so conflicted in his public displays toward Trump as to be positively schizophrenic. While Carney has chided Trump and American hegemony at global venues like the World Economic Forum and taken time during a bizarre speech to the nation that oddly celebrated the War of 1812 as some kind of halcyon moment in Canada-US relations, he has also proclaimed his desire to Make America Great Again and his high-profile meeting with Trump at the White House have been lavish displays of sycophancy that often look more like adolescent hero worship and not calculated moments designed to massage Trump’s considerable ego. In one month Trump may be an existential threat to Canadians and the American empire consigned to history; in the following month Trump is a transformational president and the United States our greatest friend and ally.

American lawmakers are noting Carney’s antipathy towards the US and coziness to China:

So did Carney really want a trade deal with the US or is this just more political posturing so he can campaign in another federal election with nothing more than a pathetic elbows up strategy? There is no doubt that Carney set up the trade negotiations to fail. Just 10 days before Trump’s 50% tariff deadline, Carney traveled to Europe and effectively restricted himself from media contact with the world. He sent his most capable minister, Dominic LeBlanc to Washington to deal with the Trump trade team.

When he finally returned, it appeared as if there was some hope in resolving the trade dispute and Carney initially demonstrated optimism. But of course, all of that was a ruse to convince Canadians that Carney was actually doing his job and trying to secure the “better deal” he had promised and campaigned on in the last federal election. He needed to look like he was negotiating in earnestness and good faith.

Just days later, he was making the outrageous claims that Trump wanted to destroy Quebec culture and erode bilingualism in Canada. These were totally erroneous statements and raw prevarications. The US was only objecting to Quebec’s own Online Safety Act that blocks American media from the province. Nonetheless, few people have challenged these lies.

But Carney had already laid the groundwork for failure by castigating the US as yesterday’s world power and sought Canada’s future in a “New World Order” with China. Carney has literally spent decades of his spotty career as a globalist banker preaching the virtues of Chinese communism and articulating his desire to see China replace America as the driving force of the world economy with the Chinese Yuan replacing the US dollar as the global currency of note.

Carney has still not released any details of the trade deal to Canadians. The Trump administration has spoken about what was in the potential pact, with US trade representative Jamieson Greer telling The New York Times that “The United States had offered to reduce its tariffs on steel, aluminum and autos, and eliminate a recently imposed tariff on Canadian lumber, before negotiations suddenly collapsed last night,” according to the media outlet.

The paper continued.

“In an interview with The New York Times, Mr. Greer detailed previously confidential and unreported elements of the U.S. trade offer to Canada, saying those measures would have given Canada the most preferential treatment of any trading partner.”

There is another facet of Canada’s trading relationship with the US that has also been highlighted by the Trump administration: the “Transshipment scam.” An August 2026 report from the White House names Canada as a “Tier 1” offender.

“In plain terms, illegal transshipment is smuggling disguised as trade—fraud cloaked in paperwork—and, in truth, nothing new. For centuries, traders have routed goods through third countries to exploit tariff gaps, dodge imperial duties, skirt embargoes, and take advantage of preferential access offered by certain ports.”

Carney also refused to consider changes to Canada’s supply management system, especially as it affects dairy products. Carney, like Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, is entirely “loyal” to the dairy cartel This loyalty has blocked American products from Canadian shelves and kept the price of dairy artificially high for Canadians. It is also a point of deep contention for Trump, who has repeatedly demanded an end to the practice.

The power of the dairy cartel was manifest in 2019 when it worked to prevent former Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier from becoming leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and supported Saskatchewan MP Andrew Scheer because he pledged his support to the dairy cartel.

Bernier recently told me this:

“What I know about the deal, and I said that I believe you know for the last 10 years that we must put on the table the cartel in supply management, the cartel in dairy, poultry, and eggs. As you know, we have food inflation in this country, and if you want to fight that, if you want to give a chance to Canadians to be able to buy chicken, poultry, eggs, milk, and cheese at a very low price, we must abolish that because Canadians are paying almost twice the price for these products. So, if you put that on the table, we will be able, I believe, to have a deal with President Trump, because he said that when he was elected the first time that he wanted his dairy producers to be able to export to the U.S. He said that it was unfair, and he’s right about that.”

“So, if you put that on the table, we will be able, I believe, to have a deal with President Trump, because he said that when he was elected the first time that he wanted his dairy producers to be able to export to the U.S. He said that it was unfair, and he’s right about that. And also, you know, he was able to win Wisconsin in the last presidential election because of the dairy producers who gave them their support and people over there,” he continued.

“And there’s a lot of jobs. There’s a lot of producers that are mad about the situation and … so, if you put that on the table, abolish the cartel and we may have more chances to have a better deal with the Americans … Carney and Poilievre are on the side of the cartel. They are not on the side of Canadian consumers.”

We are also learning that Carney pulled his support for a revived Keystone XL pipeline at the eleventh hour of negotiations. Again, let us turn to a report from The New York Times.

“Mr. Carney had brought up the idea of reviving it during his first White House visit last year.

“Officials said that, when Mr. Carney and Mr. Trump spoke by phone early in the week, Mr. Carney again mentioned the pipeline, saying that, for the right deal on tariffs, Canada would consider bringing its side of the pipeline back to life. Mr. Trump was thrilled, a former official briefed on the talks said.

“But by Friday, the Keystone XL pipeline idea was buried again. A U.S. official said that, in the last few hours, Canada had expressed reluctance to cooperate. A Canadian official said that the trade deal on offer was not good enough to make the pipeline make sense.”

So is Carney playing his usual games? Deal on one week, deal off the next? Trump good one day, Trump bad the next?

Absolutely he is. Will the legacy media expose those lies? Probably not. They are as much in the pocket of Carney as he is in the pocket of his globalist masters. We were so close to a deal when Carney first returned from his Italian vacation but so far from a deal a mere few days later. Carney saw a political opportunity and a way out of normalizing relations with the US — something he really doesn’t want — and it was a two-for-one deal. And hey, with all the nonsense about Trump wanting to destroy Quebec culture and official bilingualism in Canada, he might even pick up a byelection seat in Quebec. Make that three-for-one.

And you’re telling me that a $7.5 billion aid package for Canadians affected by US tariffs wasn’t PLANNED? Come on.

Politics in Canada has never been seamier, more corrupt and more sordid.

Look up political courage in my political dictionary and there is a picture of OneBC Party leader Dallas Brodie there. The Greater Vancouver Area Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) was elected as BC Conservative but was ejected from the party for being too truthful under its former embarrassingly pusillanimous leadership.

No one has exposed the idiocy and toxicity of Aboriginal title and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People Act (UNDRIPA) so efficaciously and bravely than Brodie has. And has been branded a racist for shining the light of truth on these truly racist policies.

And she will never let ego get in the way of the primary goal of defeating the BC NDP government and Premier David Eby. She told me she will never split the vote or be “a spoiler” in the next provincial election.

But that is just the beginning of the ironies in BC politics that have not seemed to have gone mad but have truly become insane. A province that has everything – mountains, the Pacific Ocean, vast forests, huge mineral resources, splendid wildlife – is giving away vast swaths of it to 2% of the population that has been ridiculously presented as entitled to it because they are “indigenous” and the rest of us are second class citizens in our own province and country because they were supposedly here “first.” It’s as racist as any policy that came out of Nazi Germany – where Jews were disenfranchised both politically and economically — South Africa under apartheid rule.

If this racist fallacy is not demolished – and soon – BC will implode under the weight of its land transfers and political delusion. The BC NDP must be destroyed and David Eby, the most extremist, fanatical ideologue ever to inhabit the office of BC premier, must be defeated and encouraged to retire from the hurley-burley of politics and go back to the activism that remains an integral part of this personality.

Thank God the BC Conservatives now have a leader in Kerry-Lynne Findlay who can spar with the NDP. And it looks like Findlay has offered Brodie a way back to the Conservative caucus and it appears like Dallas is ready to come back. She told me that there is no way she is going to help the NDP or Eby retain their grip on power.

“I think she’s going to be a very good leader, and she’s got a lot of hard work to do there. We are both focused on what’s best for BC for sure. There have been no formal deals cut at this point, but we are going to work to do what’s best for British Columbians, and I will not be acting as a spoiler against British Columbians,” Dallas told me.

“Since when is a conservative who wants balanced budgets, transparency, a return to normalcy, men not playing in women’s sports, not cutting off the breasts of 14-year-old girls, not like teaching children about sexual positions in kindergarten? I mean, since when is that not the extreme position? We have been told that we are extreme when we’re just saying we want normal and get back to a normal course here. You have gone way out into left field here, literally and figuratively and you’re destroying children’s lives,” Brodie says, adding that Eby and his far-left cabinet are the ”extremists.”

“So people often say, ‘But Dallas will split the vote.’ I really don’t plan to have that impact on this province. That would be a horrible legacy for me. I’m out here on my own, not by my own choice. I was thrown out of the party for reasons that were unfair, but they had been gunning for me from the very beginning. I understand now. The left- wing wanted me out of there. I don’t really know why. I actually thought I was a super normal and nice person when I started doing this ... I’m strong and sometimes politicians don’t like strong people. And I’m smart and I’m well educated. And when I hear BS, I call it [out],” she says, noting that she just overwhelmingly won a recall vote in her riding.

Dallas says Eby was elected under false pretenses.

“There’s no question in my mind that if David Eby and the NDP had gone into the last election campaign saying that their plan was to pursue an extreme land back policy and to basically carve up the province and hand it over to groups and individual bands that total over 204 bands in this province, they would not have been elected. This whole agenda is rolling out so quickly now. People can’t even keep up with what’s happening,” Brodie says.

“I have to believe, and maybe maybe I live in my own conservative world, but I do not believe that the vast majority of British Columbians realized that this is what David Eby had in store for us when he got elected at the last election. There’s absolutely no way, no way. And you know the focus, unfortunately, has the media keeps trying to say, ‘Oh, don’t worry about your private property. They’re not going to throw you out of your homes.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, thank you. Oh, you’re not going to throw us out of our homes. We’re supposed to be grateful for that; but the real crown jewel that all of these bands and the outside influencing agents who are behind these bands are after is our Crown land. That’s the 95% that they really want. The private property is important; it’s gotten everybody’s attention, which is good because we all need to wake up to the magnitude of what’s going on here,” she warns.

But as bad as the effective loss of private property in BC is, Brodie notes that “the truth is, the real loss to British Columbians is these vast swaths of mineral-rich and resource-rich Crown lands and this is what we’re seeing.

Brodie insists the pace of land giveaways is increasing because the NDP know people in BC attuned to their policies and are beginning to really push back. But she says the woke left will continue to smear and slander people who oppose their policies by calling that pushback “racist.”

“This is a discussion that British Columbians have to have, and they cowed everybody into not talking about it before for fear of people being called what they’ve called me all along — a racist and a vile, disgusting person. So once you blow through that firewall and say you can call me whatever you want, I’m still going to stand up for the 98% of British Columbians who are not being represented by what the government’s doing here.

“They’ve been diddling, dawdling around for 30 years now, and now they’re like, ‘Oh, we better hurry up because the jig is up.’ That’s what I think is going on.”

Dallas does believe there’s hope for her province, that time has not run out.

“I’m here because I believe that we can redeem the province. We have to keep believing that nothing a government does can’t be undone. It can be undone. It will be painful, and there may be some legal things that we have to deal with. But you know what? Governments change, policies change and I’m watching carefully a case that’s going to be coming to trial in 2027. I think it’s scheduled for 16 days now, and it is going to be a very important case. It involves Pender Harbor, which is an area on the Sunshine Coast where they were probably one of the first areas to be hit that wasn’t sort of way up north,” Brodie says, suggesting that this high profile case will galvanize public opinion against unbridled land claims.

“Well, we have treaty obligations, and I’ve started to think about that concept. Okay, so we have treaty obligations, but does that mean every treaty has to be sort of a gold-plated treaty, or can it just be a simple, basic treaty that gives certain simple things? Does it have to be like something so grand and so damaging to the province?

“So the the negotiators get intimidated by being called a racist for not acceding to all the requests of the other side, and really they need to not have that emotional baggage on their back when they go into negotiations and go in and negotiate hard, just like you would in any business deal, and saying, ‘No, we’re not giving you that. No, the answer is no.

“I mean, if you think about what happened with the K’ómoks [Comox] Treaty, I mean, that’s another terrible situation: 340 people getting basically an upfront signing bonus of $100 million when our province is already bankrupt, and it just goes on and on. And that treaty gets reopened in 10 years, and you know I wouldn’t think that it’s going to be reopened to give them less in 10 years. It’ll just be more and more and that treaty is only the sixth out of a 200 and fourth. That leaves 197 treaties to go. I mean, David, I don’t know how this continues on; but my thought is we need to defund this. Stop giving them the money to sue us, and then we give them the money and the lawyers … They come after us, we lose, we give them everything, and then we give them the money to sue us so that we can give them more money. That’s how I see it. That is a terrible business. That’s a terrible business structure.”

Brodie says it comes down to too many people making far too much money out of these legal battles “I mean, nothing really has improved for the average native person, but the chiefs are getting rich.”

I ask Dallas about Jim McMurtry, the teacher who was removed from his position – literally physically removed from his class – for daring to question the mass graves hoax, that erroneously suggested 215 residential school students were killed and buried on the grounds.

“I mean, Jim was brave. Jim is a very brave man; but he suffered the consequences, didn’t he? It happened to me. You stick your head up above the parapet, you get your head blown off, and that’s what’s happened to me. Although you know, Jim and I are now recovering our footing and the times are changing and voices like mine and Jim’s are now ascendant. People are listening and they’re relieved that finally someone is speaking about the outrageous situation in our schools, [about] this whole Reconciliation Industry, which is absolutely out of control.

“Everybody in Canada wanted a better situation for the Native people. I don’t know a person who doesn’t. We’re all upset that things haven’t gotten better, but it should be better by now. [With] the amount of money spent, everything should be on those reserves. Those gardens should be manicured. They should have practically chauffeurs at every door and a steak on every plate every night.”

We talk further about that mass burial hoax that started in Kamloops and spread across Canada. But there was never a shred of evidence that Native residential school students were murdered by teachers or authorities but angry activists burned down Christian churches in some kind of weird retaliation.
